Learning how to make a DIY home made bow and arrow isn't hard. You've just got to overcome the fear of messing something up and dive in. In this video, we'll turn two osage orange bow billets into a deflex reflex two piece takedown high performance longbow. This is a woodworking project that anyone can do in their backyard with simple hand tools. Most of the bow building work I do is with a simple drawknife and a rasp. To make the takedown sleeve, we'll use fiberglass tape and epoxy to form a socket and tenon which, when done right, works very well. This is a very effective and useful self bow design.
