Day 454 - Moving the Sawmill
Ever since I decided a sawmill was in our future, I thought I would build a nice pole barn structure of some kind to park the mill under for its main location. A dedicated sawmill structure. Sometimes it just takes a few days of reality to understand that my ideas are rarely in line with my budget. A dedicated sawmill roof structure is simply out of the cards financially right now.
But wait....I have a lean-to connected to my shop. Why not park it there, Captain Obvious? I originally wanted to leave the lean-to area for vehicles and vehicle maintenance, but it just makes sense to turn it into a sawmill space. I have a few ideas on how this space can function more effectively. Up first are dedicated level platforms for pallets to stack lumber off the mill. I'll cover that in an upcoming video.

JK Boots:
Hands down, without question, the best outdoor working boot that I have ever tried. They aren't cheap and they aren't inexpensive. The break-in period was brutal for me. But after some boot oil and a few working days for them to conform to my feet, I've never worked in anything as form fitting and comfortable.
My Lineup:
- O.T. Bison Canyon for everyday work
- Superduty Bison Shadow Roughout Smooth for earth work days
- The Buck Indigo Chocolate square toe western for days where quick on and off are valued
