Hey guys, this is Jeremiah out here in this hot Kansas day at the range.
I'm a little late to the party, but I just got a GoPro.
So my dad was nice enough to give me his and let me use his.
So now, for video quality, I have my camera on me and I can also have the camera downrange as well.
Possibilities are endless. I'm a little late to the party, but I'm excited nonetheless.
But I wanted to talk real quick before we get into my shots, which I'm probably about 24 yards away from currently.
I wanted to talk about the idea behind my channel and what I'm hoping to get out of this.
So my channel, 24 yards, 23.7.
But my channel, the goal is hopefully maybe help somebody, teach somebody something.
It's not going to be necessarily a tutorial how-to.
It's just kind of going with my journey and everything.
But I also want to meet people in the traditional archery community as well.
So I'm hoping to do that.
And also, really, it's almost a diary for me.
I love to record myself so I can see flaws on my shot.
There's a video coming out probably soon I'm going to work on about my bow hand and me gripping my shot,
which I'm sure you'll see here subconsciously I do.
So I want to fix that.
But I love seeing faults in my form and trying to fix that.
And I think it'd be cool to take you guys with me on that.
But today, enough talking.
24 yards.
I'm going to continue talking.
What am I saying?
24 yards.
Little GoPro.
The target itself is like five inches across.
So it's pretty small at 24.
But yeah.
Also, when I talk, my accuracy just plummets.
So we'll have to see how bad it gets.
But let's get into it.
So again, 24 yards.
I definitely didn't like the release on that one.
I think I'm a bit high, but I didn't think my hand went out of it.
I didn't feel like it went across my face.
I feel like I did the exact same thing and it was a low shot.
This time I will not be doing that.
That felt a little bit more across my face.
A couple more shots here.
That arrow landed too much with the first.
I've also been out here for a while and it's hot.
So I'm struggling a little bit.
A little low.
Last arrow.
They say when you get fatigued that you should stop because you practice bad habits.
And I normally agree with that.
Except for I really like to practice when I'm tired.
And I kind of push myself because I do.
Like I said, I record myself.
So I notice my form is getting sloppy.
And I kind of just go to failure.
Now that can teach bad habits.
But again, I'm re-watching myself and I'm seeing where I'm breaking down.
And I'm seeing how I can fix that.
I'm constantly trying to fix my form.
So I kind of do like going really like hours.
If I can do an hour or two or three hour long sessions with my 52 pound bow to really just wear myself out.
But that way they can really see where I'm breaking down first.
It's also a mental game too.
Fighting through that physical need to be tired.
I think helps my shot.
That's blabbering.
Last arrow guys.
Last arrow.
Let's see.
Last arrow.
We are off to the left by a smidge.
I'll have to go down range and take a look.
I'm sure my GoPro is picking all this up.
24 yards.
Could be a lot better.
Could be a lot worse.
I have the camera off.
It's like my grouping is a lot tighter.
Also if I was out here a few hours earlier doing this.
Recording this.
But anyways.
Sorry for rambling.
I ramble a lot.
I'm learning how to do this.
The whole contact tracing thing.
Any suggestions, comments, questions.
Definitely leave it in the comments below.
Follow my Instagram.
Message me on Instagram.
Always happy to talk with anyone in the traditional archery community.
If you guys know of any good coaches.
Let me know.
Tom Palm is not too far away.
Contact with him.
Matt Yaka does kind of a coaching thing.
I'm in contact with him as well.
Anything I can do to help my shot.
That's what I'm going after.
And the last thing.
This will be a separate video.
But I plan on going in the woods this year for the first time ever.
So I want to take you guys on that journey as well.
It's one of the reasons why I'm in practice.
Thank you so much.
I just have to make a natural shot.
Really excited to be out there.
And just do more in the traditional archery community.
It is a fantastic community.
Next year we're going to go to Etar.
Things like that.
I really love this community.
But anyways, guys.
GoPro.
24 yards.
Just having fun.
See you in the next video.
