Today I decided to interview Soph with YOUR questions... here's how it went!
How's this pregnancy different from Mary Morin's pregnancy?
Are you guys thinking of getting a pet soon?
How did Taylor pull you?
Get it?
How do you think Mary Morin will react to this new baby?
What's up, guys?
What's up?
Ooh, I need an item, I need an item.
I guess I'll use this because it's nearby.
We may switch them out, we'll see.
This is kind of-
Oh, this is like a microphone?
Yeah, this is my microphone
because I'm interviewing my pregnant wife.
Guys, this is the first YouTube video with my short hair.
Oh, yeah.
We just turned the camera on and said,
whoa, if we're gonna have short hair.
Yeah, that can be a question.
Why did you get short hair?
Oh, we're getting right into it?
Sure.
Okay.
I have just been really wanting to do it recently.
That's all I really can say.
I think it looks classy, cute.
I like the layers, you know, just like that blowout look.
And I feel like shorter hair is the way to accomplish that.
Everyone's coming for me though,
saying that this isn't short.
It isn't short, but it is short to you
because your hair, how much,
give us a demonstration of how much was taken off.
I had hair down here, which some of it was extensions,
but my hair was definitely longer too.
I saw someone say it wasn't like your hair,
the extensions.
I've had them in for years though.
Not everyone, but someone was really triggered
that you said you were getting a haircut,
but it wasn't your hair.
I did cut my hair.
And I was like, well, shoot,
when you go to the nail salon, you get fake nails put on.
You still call them your nails, right?
You're going to get your nails painted or,
so pop off.
I did cut my natural hair though.
My natural hair was longer.
But yeah, I did, yeah.
And you took your extensions out.
Yeah, I don't even have,
I was going to-
You're fully all natural.
Yeah, besides the highlights.
Guys, comment down below what you think about Soph's hair.
If you don't like it-
If it's nice.
Yeah, if you don't like it,
then just keep it to yourself, brother.
It's not even styled right now, so be nice.
Okay, do y'all have a few baby names in mind?
Yes.
Of course we do.
Of course we have a few,
but we also want your guys' opinions because-
Is this, wait, is this an interview for me
or is this just like a Q&A?
Well, it's like an interview,
but I'm here to clarify things too.
You know what I mean?
Because I love to talk.
Got it.
So anyways, we want y'all's opinions as well.
So drop some baby names as they come to your mind
during this video.
Yeah, love looking through those.
Okay, what's your birth plan, queen?
Literally the exact same as it was with Mary Moran.
I didn't go in with like a sheet of paper or anything.
I like just kind of told her like at my,
like I don't remember.
When I was getting close and I just kind of was like,
here's like a few things,
but like birth plan is just,
like I don't want to have a C-section unless I have to.
Some people are like super,
I clarify that because some people don't really care.
Some people prefer C-sections, all that.
So I always say like,
really don't want a C-section unless,
of course that is the safest option, yada yada.
I do want epitzerol.
I do like a few other things,
like wait as long as you can to like cut the umbilical cord.
I mean, I don't like, I'm not like,
you have to wait like an hour or anything,
but just wait as long as you can.
I'm trying to think, I haven't really thought of this.
What about eating the umbilical cord?
So that's a no for me.
Okay. Hey, different strokes for different folks.
If you guys don't know, there are,
I mean, that's a lot, a lot of people,
a lot of people do like, I feel like you put them in capsules.
Yeah. I think it's, would you say it's more common than not?
I feel like a lot of people do it.
When you think about putting it in a capsule,
it's not as freaky.
Yeah. Basically you, can't you do that with the placenta too?
That's what I was saying.
Okay. Wait, what did you ask?
Did you ask if the umbilical cord is like a rachis umbilical cord?
Yes, that's what I said.
Maybe they do though.
I don't think so.
I don't know. Who knows?
I didn't even realize that's a thing.
Anyways, a lot of people we know for sure.
The placenta thing.
Yeah, they ship off the placenta
and then they put it in like pill form and they eat it.
I don't really have any hate for that.
I don't think.
Well, I'd hope you didn't have any hate.
No, I mean, I feel like just.
She's like, I don't hate it.
Initially I'm just kind of like,
ooh, that's kind of freaky, but.
It's your own body.
Right, and then you put it into a capsules.
It's like you just.
I do wonder what the health benefits are though.
Right, I don't know enough.
And I didn't.
I just smacked myself in the face with it.
Yeah, this is very interesting.
Yeah, weird microphone.
Anyways, I gotta come up.
I gotta remember some things.
But I mean, I don't have like a whole.
Cause you don't really wanna go super planned.
Yeah, because a lot of times.
Cause then you might be let down.
Yeah, and plans fall apart and all that.
So you wanna have a good experience for birth.
Cause you would know.
Yes.
Hey, I've got 50% on this.
Genes wise.
More like 100% looks wise with the genes.
Yeah, well we don't know.
We know with Mary Morin.
Okay, Mary Morin goes down for a nap.
What are you doing in your free time?
In my free time,
lately I've actually been having some me time.
Like I used to stress a lot about what to do in nap time.
Like do I need to get the dishes done?
Do I need to get clothes on?
But sometimes I'm like,
I just need to chill and do something fun.
Daddy does the dishes.
Relaxing.
I've actually been playing a game on my phone lately.
It's called June's Journey.
June's Journey is a hidden object game based in the 1920s.
As a player, we step into the shoes of June Parker,
who is a detective.
And her whole task is to reveal the secrets
behind her sister's murder.
And with each chapter,
you get deeper and deeper into the story.
And as you progress,
you get access to new scenes and features and all of that.
The visuals throughout the game are too good.
I'm telling y'all.
There's so many hidden object scenes to reveal clues
that will really challenge you, but it is so fun.
You get to build your own world
exactly how you like it over time.
They even have special events
and seasonal content with unique rewards.
So honey, show them my phone for a second.
Let me grab you guys.
Okay, here we go.
So here's my little island as of now.
Added some cute water.
This, what is this again?
It's got something right here,
but it's not gonna be ready for another 11 hours.
So we'll check it in the morning, but let's play.
So we're on the crime scene photo right now.
You have to find like what these say.
So trash can, umbrella.
And the faster you go, like you get a bonus.
Ah, I'm stressed because I'm under pressure.
Face, bow, open drawer.
How are you this good?
Where's the peacock feather?
So anyways, it's really, really fun.
You guys should definitely give it a try.
You can actually download it for free
by scanning the QR code right here.
We'll also put a link in the description.
June's Journey is available on iOS and Android devices,
as well as on PC.
So yeah, that's what I've been doing in my free time.
If I'm not doing that, I'm probably just like asleep.
And honestly, it looked pretty fun.
I may have to join in.
Yeah, you really should.
How is this pregnancy different from Mary Morin's pregnancy?
Mary Morin, for you new guys here,
is our first daughter.
She's almost 19 months.
Like right off the top of my head,
I don't think it's too different.
I can't think of anything that's like massively.
I will say like health-wise stuff,
like, you know, we had a few things.
Like when we went to Mary Morin's anatomy scan,
we found out that we had like a few things wrong
with the placenta, some things.
She was gonna be a little bit smaller, all that.
With this baby's anatomy scan, everything was like all good.
Like the appointment was 30 seconds
because they were like nothing.
Which Mary Morin ended up being perfectly fine.
But like, I guess that,
there's not really any stress on that.
And then, so really symptoms pretty much the same.
I'm kind of in that point, second trimester,
where like I don't really have a lot of symptoms.
Now it's just like waking up,
you're peeing all through the night.
You're a little uncomfortable.
She is up all night long.
I'll wake up, you know.
Oh, is it really taking a toll on you, Taylor?
No, I'm saying, I was gonna say,
I see you wake up throughout the night.
And I'm like, what is my baby's sweet cheeks doing
at this time of night or morning?
You know what I mean?
And then I hear the urination and I'm like, oh.
Oh, you stand for that?
Well, it's dead silent, so it kind of.
And our house is like really small.
Yeah, it's like, you're right.
You're basically at the end of the bed.
No, I really am.
Are you guys thinking of getting a pet soon?
This person wants to know, it can include any animal.
So it doesn't have to just be a dog.
Like it could be a farm animal.
Oh, the only thing we're considering soon is chickens.
Yeah, which soon it would be next spring.
So.
Yeah, so that would be the soonest.
Yeah, like nine months, 10 months.
As far as like a dog, we just travel so much right now.
It kind of scares me with like little babies.
And we live in a small house.
It's just not like good timing.
And I can touch on that.
I worked at a vet clinic for that hospital for five years.
And so I love animals.
I'm a big, big animal person.
But I've also seen like, there's been personal stories
and stuff like that, that I won't get into detail with
where I've seen children affected by animals.
And that part scares me because Mary Marin is so innocent
and a new baby girl will be.
So they don't have a chance to defend themselves.
They don't have.
So, you know, I'm not knocking it at all.
I mean, the likelihood is zero,
but at the end of the day, an animal is an animal.
So I do want to be safe.
And so that definitely plays a part into it
with kids being so young.
And I think we would also do it a lot more for the kids.
So I think it'd be sweet.
Once our kids get a little bit older
and they like probably are going to be like begging us
to get a dog at that point.
And then they're a little bit older
and then it's exciting, more exciting for them.
Like right now, Mary Marin, she might not even like a dog.
So maybe in the future,
cause then also like traveling sure is going to slow down.
We'll have a bigger house.
Just like, you know,
we're just like in no rush to do that right now.
But we love animals.
Yeah, with that being said,
like don't think we're like dog haters that are like,
no, no, no animals ever around anyone.
You know what I wanted?
I wanted four.
I wanted four all different shades.
Oh my gosh.
But like-
Four is a lot.
I could do, I could do two.
Anyways, I-
Chickens though, we might do chickens.
Cause that's outside.
Like it'd be so fun and cute.
We need some eggs.
Yeah.
For people that are real OGs,
I had had slash have a dog.
He now lives with my parents.
His name is Gibson.
A lot of people ask sometimes.
Very sweet.
But Gibson is also, can be grumpy sometimes.
Yeah, he has a big face.
And like snap, like not like,
not like, you know, rip your face off
or like cause you to go to the hospital,
but definitely like warning.
Like, you know, like when he's in bad moods
and I don't know, we didn't know what to do.
And so he lives with my parents now.
He's inside dog at my parents' house.
That's just one of those things
we weren't super comfortable,
but we also didn't want to just like give him away,
if that makes sense.
So we still see him every other day,
every three days or so.
Anyways, that's update on Gibson.
Is she feeling nervous about the second birth?
Like in comparison to the first birth,
I feel like you really weren't too nervous.
I don't feel like I was too nervous either.
And I don't feel like I'm nervous now.
I think like as you get closer
or like when I'm in the hospital or whatever,
I might get a little nervous.
The only time I got nervous was when they broke my water.
Like remember, they broke my water and 15 minutes later,
I'm like, the baby's falling out of me.
And I got really scared because it was like,
it's just a lot.
And then the other time,
you remember when the heart,
what was it, the heart rate got too low?
Or was it the heart?
Mary-Marin's heart rate or blood pressure?
It was mine that made hers, yeah.
Yeah, it had something to do,
that it was like the doctors were freaking out for a second
and it literally lasted like 30 seconds.
This is seeming like an interview for me as well.
Like, I feel like I'm sitting here just popping off.
But I'm like, there's things that happen
that we've got to touch on.
Yeah, I'm not like nervous,
but it's kind of like the fear of the unknown,
like how it's going to go.
Cause Mary-Marin's was decently smooth.
So I don't feel like I'm like traumatized or anything.
I feel like, are you more excited, not more excited,
but do you feel-
Like more prepared?
Yeah, like, I feel like you can go to the hospital
with confidence since you've already done it
with Mary-Marin.
You can go knowing what to expect.
So therefore you can experience even some emotions
that you may have not experienced with Mary-Marin.
I'm much more like,
like I was seeing someone pack their hospital bag
and I was like, this is so,
like when I had Mary-Marin, I didn't even like,
cause the hospital does provide everything for you.
But like, I remember it's nice to have your own stuff,
y'all know, like sometimes,
like depending on what it is,
just things for yourself, like that you know you like.
So like, I know I'm going to pack like some of my own
like diapers for me.
Like things that-
Oh.
After.
Yeah, I forgot about that thing.
When I was going to have Mary-Marin,
I wasn't even thinking like postpartum myself,
like treatment things.
Remember you got to have a scorer,
there's like a bunch of stuff.
Yeah, and like, yeah,
like I'm definitely going to pack mine
because like if y'all know, you've had babies,
you know like the freedom mom one is like amazing,
way better than like the hospital one.
Just things like that, I feel like,
I feel like I'm just going to be prepared for the afterwards.
But I don't, I have no idea what to expect
for the actual birth.
Cause that is different for everybody.
You know what would probably be helpful for a lot of people,
especially if there's new moms watching?
What?
What if you made a list of things
that you're going to take to the hospital
or like postpartum things?
I'm gonna, I'll do a video.
For the new moms.
Yeah.
Comment down below if you guys
would want to see something like that,
because Soph could do it.
I did want to-
I love how I'm volunteering you,
but that's how we work.
I did pack my hospital bag for the first baby,
which is great, like first time mom packing.
But now I have experience,
so I can definitely give my advice on like experience now.
So I do still need to refresh my brain though.
We were going through our storage
and I saw my postpartum box.
I was like, oh, what's all this?
What a painful thing childbirth is.
It's beautiful, but thank God I'm not a-
You know that pain.
Holy, no, I don't know that pain.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm like-
You said, what a painful.
Cause I'm thinking of all the like postpartum tools.
Postpartum hurt for me.
That you have to use.
Like, that's the hurt.
Some people I see just like walking around.
I couldn't even shower at the hospital.
I mean, seriously, that's insane.
We'll see how this time goes.
It's insane.
How did Taylor pull you?
A.K.A. what made you fall in love with him the first time?
Did someone ask this?
Yep.
Nice.
So, what made me like you?
When you saw me, were you like, it is the Bieber hair.
Yeah.
It is his luscious golden locks.
Well, honestly, looking back-
It's the crystal blue eyes.
Looking back, like the way that Taylor dressed then,
we need to answer the picture.
Weird, I was going through a phase.
No, let's not.
Taylor wore like jeans with holes.
Do not, do not, do not.
No, I was going through a phase where I was like-
A little hippie, a little hipster.
No, like rap, rap, rap star.
Yeah, and like, but it was so funny
because when I got to know him, he was like super country
and like, that wasn't-
Home fishin', lovin' every day, but yet I was,
yeah, it was a weird phase.
I think you were trying to figure out fashion.
Well, it's one of those stages where I was probably
just trying to figure out who I was.
You know what I mean?
Oh.
Like, let's get deep.
You were eight.
This is really an interview.
How did it get back to me?
Okay, let me just wrap this up.
I don't know, it's kind of funny, like the night we met,
I had no idea who he was.
He, like, knew a little bit about me.
So, was it the hair?
All right, I didn't know, it was something,
we were just there that night, and-
Was it my aura?
My male dominant aura?
I thought, obviously, I obviously thought
you were super cute, and I just remember
looking at you the first night, and like,
we had, I remember we had to make an eye contact,
and you had like the cute, you know,
you have the cutest little mouth.
Did I have like a, a ray of light around me,
or what was going on?
I think there was just this, like, flirty,
scent, like-
Aura.
We could just feel the flirtness.
Riz.
No, I don't-
I had riz, it riz-inated her.
We just, we just were like-
She's literally saying, I riz-ed her up,
and she couldn't resist.
It was just meant to be.
Say you riz-ed me up.
But it was obviously because I thought
you were cute and everything.
I don't even know what that means, I'm not saying that.
I riz-ed her up.
Did that even answer the question?
What is your favorite song and Disney movie?
My favorite Prince's movie is Sleeping Beauty.
Okay.
Song, I mean, I don't know, all we sing is Let It Go,
and How Far I'll Go, Moana here.
Or Where You Are.
Or Where You Are by Moana.
Yeah, Moana.
Just all of Moana and Prince's.
I don't know, I don't really-
Because of Mary Morin.
Yeah, we just sing.
How Far I'll Go is a bop.
I think this will wrap it up.
How do you think Mary Morin will react to this new baby?
So, I'll do it real quick.
I think that, hopefully, if it all goes as planned,
she's gonna get brought to the hospital.
Taylor will go out there and grab her and bring her in.
I'm gonna plan on having the baby, like, in the bassinet.
I'm not gonna be holding the baby.
And I just wanna be able to, like, you know,
hug Mary Morin, cuddle her, all that.
I think, right away, she's gonna be so cute.
Like, she's gonna be-
I don't know if she'll fully understand,
like, I'm gonna-
Cause she knows her little sister and baby
is in Mommy's belly, so I'm gonna give her the whole talk.
Like, you know, she's probably gonna be confused,
but I'm gonna be like,
this is the baby that came out of Mommy's belly.
This is your little sister.
Yada yada.
I don't think she's gonna freak out.
Like, if-
I'm gonna be like, do you wanna hold her?
You know, I think that'll go well.
I think-
What if she, like, smacks her?
No, I don't think she will.
I think she's gonna be very shy and all that.
And as long as I'm there to be able to hold her
and everything, I think even coming home,
it might be fine in situations,
but I think it's just, like, all day long right now,
it's like, Mom, hold my hand, come with me to my playroom.
Come do this, come do that.
And so I think it's gonna be just a little challenging.
You know, I'm gonna have to have a lot of baby help
with you this time.
And we're gonna have to figure out a way-
I think she's gonna get-
To, like, ease her into it so that she'll understand.
Because the problem is,
Mary Morin is so attached to Sophia.
She doesn't want anyone but Sophia, which is great.
But once the baby's here, that could be, like-
And I want, like-
I love that.
Like, I want all my kids to be like that.
It's so cute, but it's like-
So, you know, I wanna spend-
I told Taylor, I was like, here's the solution.
I'm gonna play with Mary Morin all throughout the day.
And when Mary Morin goes to sleep,
I'm gonna hang out with the baby all night long
and not sleep.
So then the baby gets my time and Mary Morin gets my time
and neither one has to get jealous.
I think we need to ask our YouTube community
for their advice.
Because I know there are some moms that had two kids
that probably experienced the same thing.
What is your best advice or what did you do?
Or did you not-
Especially if your first baby's really attached to you.
Or did you not do anything?
Were you just like, full send it, you know?
I saw someone, they said,
you just have to embrace the chaos.
I'm ready to embrace the chaos.
I just don't want Mary Morin to be sad.
That's a life quote right there.
Especially if you're nursing.
Wow.
Yeah, I'm just like-
This is beautiful.
So we're just gonna have to do it.
But yeah, I think in the hospital
it'll be super sweet, super cute.
And then at home, I think just once it's day to day,
like regular day, we're back home,
she's gonna get like a little-
I think she's gonna be excited in moments
and sweet with the baby.
But I think sometimes when she wants to do something,
you know, I'll try my best.
I'm gonna do a lot of baby wearing.
Like, you know, instead of just holding the baby,
instead of just holding the baby,
I'm gonna wear the baby as much as possible
so then I've got free hands.
