The Worst Thing About Living in the UK Right Now!

[Music] ah good morning guys hope you're all doing well welcome back to another vlog started out today with a workout just been to the gym still catching my breath not from the workout just from literally walking back to the car all right i need to put my earpods away i hate to say it i don't hate to say i love to say it but i don't want to jinx it but i have a feeling it's going to be a lovely day today there's blue skies there's sunshine let me show you this quickly see that sun trying to peek through there still trying to figure out the vlogging angles in this new car i reckon i think something like that will do how you guys doing let me know in the comment hope you're doing well maybe not that angle there we go oh yeah workout done i wasn't going to go this morning i was in a bit of a predicament because my back is or was bad i don't think i did any more damage basically i injured my back the other day and i've been at the gym for a couple of days this was the first one back i spent 30 minutes this morning deciding whether to stay at home and not work out at all go for a walk which would have been easier on my back or just go to the gym and power through with my workout i chose the third option which probably isn't the smartest but i mean ask me later but i have a feeling that we haven't done any more damage which is good that sun's really coming out that sun is really really coming out i'm just gonna hold this camera the sun is really coming out now um okay i actually need to go because i have an appointment in 40 minutes and i don't know where i'm going i have an appointment today with the hygienist at the dentist to get my teeth cleaned up polished cleaned scaled i think they call it remove any like plaque and tartar build up etc all the glamorous things that we do around here but that is on the agenda today then i want to get this car washed because even though it's brand new it is filthy the weather in the uk at the moment means that cars get really dirty especially white cars so all up the sides up the back of the front the roof everything is dirty so hopefully the car wash is back open we'll go and check that out i found this car wash that does like lamborghinis huge range rovers bmws mercedes audi like but like supercars mclarens they've had in their ferraris porsche so hopefully they will be pretty good and they will get this car in tip top shape i haven't i actually need to google where i'm going i i literally this isn't like an nhs appointment this is a private dentist i just googled it one kind of near home and rang them up and booked the appointment but i actually need to oh no i can't remember where i booked it i know it was in fairing place called fairing fairing dentist i'm gonna have to go on google and see if like my history says that i've been on their website okay bear with me anyway i probably should stop vlogging head over there now so i'll catch up with you very soon [Music] totally spoke too soon guys the rain it our camera's getting wet it is really raining now okay i found the place but it is now really raining and that is what we get in what's coming in well i think we've been in winter i've kind of forgotten the seasons in england i think winter carries on until sort of like march pretty much um so i've parked the place is literally just there but i'm gonna get soaked on the way but my appointment is now so i do need to go i'll let you know let you know how it goes i've never had just a hygienist appointment i don't think i think you're supposed to get it done every six months they say um i've obviously had dentist appointments like once a year or something and they give you a bit of a clean but this is purely a hygienist appointment just to clean my teeth hopefully remove some coffee staining hopefully they'll be white more white when i'm done i don't know i'm not getting whitening i've had whitening in the past so which should last so maybe it will re-reveal some of the whitening that i've had done anyway i'll let you know how i go on i need to go all right just got home hello look who's here good morning um so that was interesting yeah jim was good thank you jim was good the dentist was interesting it was good but i've got sensitive teeth which i realized and the cleaning of the in between one of the worst dentist experiences i've had really she was really nice and super sweet but i don't know it it hurt yeah it hurts they look good they look good and i've now got gaps in my teeth where i didn't know i had gaps in my teeth which is um good i think wow you may be breakfast you need to finish you need to do brushing every night like yeah she said the brushes in between your teeth really important and proper brushing right to the gum line yeah so that was that but now i'm home and yeah overdue breakfast but it looks like have you made me breakfast you are a legend 11 a.m i'm going to do that i said text me so that i have ready yeah i didn't know you'd make have you made me a coffee you've made me a coffee as well did you get one on my home no i didn't get a coffee oh what you might have done your hero thank you elise i'm gonna enjoy it it's just like a breakfast burrito yeah like a breakfast wrap oh my goodness and this arrived wow so we now have a tv stand because this is actually our coffee table which is going to go here so this is my job for after breakfast then building this we're about to pick up a parcel from geordi's old office and i had my some reason my settings on asos my like so annoying my profile george's old office as my address and the parcel was meant to be delivered it was over christmas i kind of forgot about it and then a few days ago i looked on the order and i was like george i had to deliver child office and it's like half an hour from where we live a few things is it gonna be there one mild office isn't even the company it used to be heart radio it's no longer heart radio yeah some random business who moved into the building we came here and they were closed a few days ago so i emailed them and then luckily a guy called colin helped me out and he said we've got your pass we'll come and get it but i thought they could have been dick they could have been like i don't know who this person is it's not our package i'm just gonna throw it away i don't know if you can do that or not this is nostalgic this is the building where i spent four years to pull in yeah of my life this is so weird this is where i worked rothery house for like i think four or five years so so crazy we got the parcel and goodbye again rothbury house goodbye that was so so weird going in i think i joined in 2014 and left in 2018. to pursue youtube where the keys you got them in your pocket but my desk my desk was like through that window and i spent all day every day for four 14 15 16 for five years five years of my life i spent in that building really weird comment below if you've ever gone back to somewhere where you used to spend a lot of time like an old house on old road an old workplace or something oh i've got a bit of water on the lens and then when you go back it's kind of a strange feeling so familiar yet so different this is where i used to walk around for my lunch break so that used to be my bank which is no longer there and this is where i used to spend i mean it looks a bit horrible on a day like today this is where i used to spend a lot of time but what wasn't here was this coffee shop blend which is the same one that i go to in worthing this was not here when i worked here so i'm gonna run in and grab a very quick coffee as i'm here [Music] so lucy's cooking lunch from this joe wick's book and she's making this turkey leak and tarragon gnocchi so it should look something like this at the end pudding what is it this is tarragon not arrogant i know when you're making a joke oh i'm sorry i know who you are we're joking so what we've got onions kale leek turkey meat olive oil mushrooms chestnuts roasting on an open fire i love gnocchi noki's like underrated food very removing all the kale stalks because no one likes them oh you're putting the effort with your cooking don't you here's the finished result looks really good loads of veggies loads of protein in the turkey and some delicious gnocchi [Music] did we just both fall asleep on the sofa yes we did as you can see by my hair neither of us have been sleeping that well lately and the baby's not even here yet so good luck to us luce good luck to us oh my goodness so here's a few hours later and do you know what this is one thing i hate about the uk right now okay hate's a strong word um one thing i'm not enjoying look outside that is the sky getting dark and i think we've spoken about this in vlogs recently but today's weather we didn't get the car washed in the end we had a pretty productive day other than not being able to get the car washed that was one thing i wanted to do but it kept raining then the rain stopped then it rained again and then it just carried on running the whole day now it's getting dark these early evenings i really dislike and this is the longest that we've been we realized in years long as we've been in one place or one country or one season or one type of weather for so long it's hard because it gets dark at 4 pm or earlier and i'm not a huge fan of that i do like the summer evenings where it's light until about 9 00 pm i find you can get more done i never i mean afternoon naps are not part of our lifestyle they never really have been and it's but i think it's to do with the weather i really have a feeling it's probably my least favorite thing about the uk this time of year it's like the gray skies the rain not complaining i'm just saying um we've obviously chosen to be here i'm not complaining but that is the reality of the matter do you still need to build this are you waiting to hoover all right so i'll stop vlogging so you can hoover alright thanks and after what feels like forever and almost a complete breakdown with the two of us we were a little bit too tired to do that took over an hour and three hours three about three hours no maybe two hours but we now have this coffee table which was there and this is our new matching tv unit this looks so much smarter you can't see any wires at all because they're all hidden behind very happy with it and it's nice it means now when we finish a meal we don't have to like put it on the sofa we can put it here yeah or we've got space for drinks here instead of having to get the bench from the hallway yep and lucy has arranged it so we've got some like candles on there a book we have some drawers here with like remotes and playstation games and things all a bit neater and you're now looking to cook something for dinner deciding between these two oh do i get do i get a choice if you want to have a choice one of the choices is a burger what that that's no longer a choice for me yeah but burgers that no longer really becomes a choice but the pie would be lovely as well so it is up to you [Music] [Applause] [Music] the only thing i couldn't get was spinach and the cream half of it pretty much half of what you asked me to get yeah but i did get 10 pounds all together oh the mints i didn't actually look at the price i i know it's two seven pounds i was gonna get two but i thought you only needed 500 grams should have got two or seven pounds if it was another still less what you would expect cool lucy has we have decided we're going to make burgers so i quickly went out and bought some mints because we didn't have that minced beef got some brogan's talking very loudly in the background um got some strawberries and some grapes and some blueberries because after dinner i'm gonna make my protein blueberry pudding which i might share with you today something i've been making recently really lovely i've just had a shower and changed into my full menace tracksuit and my slippers look at those bad boys look at those this is super comfy gifted to me by menace by the team of menace so shout out to them great men's clothing ready for an evening of peace quietness and tranquility or just netflix and a bit of food also just used my hyaluronic acid cleanser and moisturized yes skincare is important for us guys not just the ladies i feel like my skin has um taken a hit coming back to the uk that's another thing i feel like my skin was better in manila with more a bit more vitamin d from the sun or something like that maybe i should introduce a supplement speaking of haven't had my monty vitamin yet but the burgers are nearly ready so we'll show you those and then we'll start to end off this vlog because it's been like a full day in the life today part of the reason we love filming vlogs because especially vlogs like this today where we take you along all day these are the vlogs lucy and i watch back the most like we watch back videos not very often but if we do choose to watch a vlog back it will generally be one like this where it's more of a relaxed day and following us around on a day to see what our life was like it's like a time capsule for us to see what our life was like three years ago five years ago two years ago six months ago yeah another reason we love vlogging yeah lucy look at that burger that is unbelievable these look amazing wow they're huge i overdid the size and keep a shrink and it didn't drink yeah oh and then we're going to finish it off with some cheese some cheddar cheese we never buy the plasticky burger cheese do we really not for i don't know it feels like a smash burger i like that i like the shake shack cheese yeah true it's different this is this kind of cheese is good on this the burgers were so good i took the first bite and said lucy this is amazing i took a second bite said lucy this is amazing third bite said lucy this is amazing if you guys are still watching at this point we are gonna end the
