Hu Chunhua grows assertive, a sign of political assent.
Hu Jintao's son emerges publicly, hinting at underlying shifts.
As Xi Jinping's close allies encounter setbacks and are replaced by confidants of Jiang Yuxia,
China's political landscape may soon undergo significant changes.
With no designated successor,
speculation over who will assume the role of general secretary has become a pressing topic.
Recently, reports surfaced suggesting that Hu Chunhua, once seen as a fallen prince,
has grown bolder, delivering a 50-word critique of Xi's China.
This may signal a potential resurgence in his political fortunes.
Furthermore, the appearance of Hu Jintao's son,
Hu Haifeng, at the Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai has also been interpreted as a political signal.
Among the potential successors, Wang Yang, Hu Chunhua, and Ding Xuexiang are often mentioned.
Noted blogger Su Xiaohei revealed that sources suggest Wang Yang has a stronger chance,
with many hoping he will step up.
However, there are reports that the CCP has implemented a secret regulation,
allegedly drafted by party school scholars,
stating that all leaders born in the 1950s are to be phased out.
The rule is also said to prohibit second-generation Reds,
children of revolutionary leaders, from holding top positions,
including seats on the Politburo, or Standing Committee.
Previously, Xi emphasized fighting for and guarding the country.
Now, critics argue that the narrative has shifted toward fighting for and consuming the country.
If the reported rule disqualifies leaders born in the 1950s,
Hu Chunhua's prospects could improve significantly.
Su said Wang Yang, born in 1955, would be disqualified under this rule.
That would leave Hu Chunhua or Ding Xuexiang as potential successors.
This could explain why Hu Chunhua has recently become more outspoken,
reportedly using 50 words to sharply criticize Xi's China during a meeting with party elders.
According to the report, Hu Chunhua stated,
What does China have left? Nothing.
After years of Chairman Xi's turmoil, we truly have nothing.
A small group, a few families, controls 95% of the country's wealth.
Beyond that, the nation has nothing.
Internationally, we are isolated.
The few friends we do have are useless.
Domestically, the people are suffering and full of resentment.
The public hates us.
Hates the corrupt officials and the Communist Party more than ever.
Anyone with knowledge, wealth, or vision has left China.
Those intellectuals who remain dare not speak, groveling and shifting with the wind.
The only honest voices left are from a few nameless leaks online, speaking the truth in defiance.
Dare to speak, not pander to Xi.
Whether Hu Chunhua actually made these remarks remains unconfirmed.
However, Su Xiaohei believes they reflect his political character,
a high-IQ leader groomed to uphold both party control and economic openness,
a rare bridge figure in modern Chinese politics.
Su explained,
Hu Chunhua is a politician who walks a fine line.
At this critical moment, he should speak out.
If he remains silent, party elders may perceive him as timid and overly deferential to Xi.
On June 18, 2025,
party media reported on the opening of the 2025 Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai.
Wei Ping, former director of Wen Weipo's northeast office in Hong Kong,
pointed to a key detail in the report as indicative of Xi's waning power.
During the unveiling ceremony of the China Capital Market Institute,
jointly hosted by the China Securities Regulatory Commission,
CSRC, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the Shanghai Municipal Government,
several officials participated,
including Politburo member and Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining,
CSRC Chairman Wu Qing,
Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng,
and Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Hu Haifeng.
Wei highlighted the importance of this detail.
In Party Protocol,
who cuts the ribbon or appears in the front row speaks volumes.
Misplacing a name can cost you your job,
or worse, your freedom.
He noted that the report ends with the sentence,
Chen Jining, Wang Jiang, Wu Qing, Gong Zheng,
and Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Hu Haifeng
jointly unveiled the China Capital Market Institute.
The inclusion of Hu Haifeng,
despite his relatively modest title,
is interpreted as symbolic.
Wei said,
if Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao held no remaining influence,
Chen Jining would not have allowed Hu Haifeng to be highlighted.
He added,
This incident confirms it.
Xi's authority has weakened.
Overseas media assessments are accurate.
Xi is hanging on,
but the struggle between party elders and Xi is reaching a climax.
The outcome will be revealed at the upcoming 4th Plenum,
which is expected to feature a strong lineup
focused on salvaging the economy and cleaning up Xi's legacy.
Su Xiaohei described Xi as the most extravagant leader in CCP history.
As a second-generation Red,
Xi has ruled for 13 years and brought the country to the edge of collapse.
He is the ultimate accelerator and squanderer no one else compares.
According to Global Times data,
from 2020 to 2023,
the CCP provided over $6.1 trillion,
over $834 billion in foreign aid,
over $2 trillion,
approximately $278.6 billion,
of which went to Russia.
Additionally, an aid data report noted that,
from 2000 to 2017,
China extended 6.17 trillion yuan in aid and loans to 165 countries.
The Chinese Communist Party is preparing for war in the Indo-Pacific region,
the U.S.
The Secretary of Defense has sounded the alarm.
On June 18, 2025,
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee,
stating that Beijing is preparing for war in the Indo-Pacific,
which is part of its broader strategy to dominate the region and, ultimately, the world.
He further noted,
if Beijing succeeds,
it could attempt to disrupt America's reindustrialization process,
thereby stifling the U.S. economy.
This cannot be allowed to happen,
and the Department of Defense will ensure it does not.
To prevent conflict in the Pacific,
Hegseth stated that the Pentagon is pursuing an approach of
enduring peace through the strengthening of deterrence.
He outlined a series of measures aimed at enhancing the U.S. military presence in the region,
including the deployment of additional troops
and closer collaboration with regional allies to bolster defense capabilities.
The Secretary noted that the U.S. has expanded military cooperation with Australia,
Japan, and the Philippines to counter growing threats posed by China.
He also mentioned that the Pentagon has reached new understandings with allied nations
to enhance joint military capabilities in the coming months.
Hegseth emphasized that China has made its intentions clear
to first dominate the Indo-Pacific and then extend its governance system,
Marxism-Leninism with Chinese characteristics,
on a global scale.
He added that this expansionist agenda includes projecting military power
into the Western Hemisphere on a broader and more sustained basis.
He stated,
This is evident not only in China's belligerent activities across the region,
but most notably in its massive historic military buildup,
including a growing number of advanced submarines,
ships,
aircraft,
and satellites,
as well as increasingly dangerous missile threats and cyber capabilities.
He also remarked that the Trump administration is working to expel Chinese influence from Panama.
Secretary Hegseth highlighted Beijing's rapidly expanding nuclear arsenal
as a significant concern.
He explained,
To counter China's expansionism,
the Pentagon is focused on the rapid development of advanced weapons and related capabilities
aimed at deterring Chinese aggression in the first island chain,
strengthening our forward posture in the Western Pacific,
and working closely with our allies and partners to enhance our collective ability
to effectively deter or respond to aggression.
Enhancements to the U.S. military presence in the region
include increased rotational deployments of aircraft,
submarines,
and surface vessels to Australia.
In addition, the U.S. is intensifying military cooperation with India and Japan.
In Japan, U.S. forces are upgrading to a new joint force headquarters,
and B-1 bombers have been deployed to Misawa Air Base for the first time.
The U.S. is also strengthening its partnership with the Philippines
and expanding military activities in the South China Sea.
Hegseth said,
These investments will prioritize combat-capable forces and rebuild deterrence.
A key element of the strategy involves encouraging regional allies
to increase their own defense investments.
While the U.S. commits to deploying robust military capabilities to
deter China for years, if not decades, to come,
Hegseth declared,
Communist China is rising and preparing for conflict,
but conflict is not inevitable.
Let me reiterate.
Our goal is to prevent war by enhancing American strength.
We desire peace, but we must prepare for war.
In his testimony, Hegseth reaffirmed that the U.S. military strategy of
peace through strength is designed to prevent China from achieving its strategic objectives.
The U.S. Senator pushes to expose wealth of China's communist leaders,
throne of lies, theft, and tyranny.
On June 18, 2025, Senator Rick Scott, RFL,
unveiled the prying into Chinese tyrants' unreported riches, earnings, and secrets,
Pictures Act, a legislative proposal that mandates the Office of the Director of National
Intelligence to investigate and visually document the hidden wealth and obscure
assets of senior officials within the Chinese Communist Party.
The bill aims to uncover the offshore wealth,
financial intermediaries, and hidden assets of China's top ruling elites,
including Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Senator Scott stated that its purpose is to provide U.S.
policymakers with critical intelligence that lays bare the financial corruption
underpinning one of the world's most threatening authoritarian regimes.
Scott stated,
Communist China's ruthless regime has built a throne of lies,
theft, and tyranny that undermines the very principles of the United States.
The regime in Communist China is lying to its people and to the world.
It is time the American people saw the truth behind the CCP's carefully manufactured image.
Scott continued,
My Pictures Act exposes the hypocrisy of dictators like Xi
who preach the principles of communism while living like emperors,
hiding billions in secret offshore accounts, and profiting off the labor of their people.
General Secretary Xi and his cronies are not world leaders.
They are authoritarian profiteers who threaten freedom and the American way of life at every
turn.
The announcement followed just hours after Senator Scott
pressed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing
regarding the risks posed by ongoing U.S. economic engagement with China.
Scott asked,
Do you believe that if the American public understood the risks associated with China,
what you consider every day in your role,
they would be less inclined to purchase Chinese products?
Hegseth responded,
Sure, sir. It is our job to think about that every day.
If a lot of the information we see were made public,
there would probably be a greater sense of urgency.
Scott followed up,
Whether it's Americans buying products that fuel China's economy,
enabling them to build a military designed to defeat us,
or whether it's purchasing Chinese drones, drugs, or allowing them to acquire farmland,
would you recommend to the American public that we wake up and stop these practices?
Hegseth replied,
Generally speaking, Senator, yes.
The counterfeit craze, from antiques and traditional medicine to solid wood furniture,
even the ribs aren't real.
In today's China, not only is the economy in decline, but counterfeiting is rampant.
Chinese citizens are discovering that their clothing, food,
housing, and transportation are all surrounded by fakes.
One netizen shared,
I bought fake ribs online. You really can't trust people these days.
Look, the bone just falls right out when you pull it. First time I've ever seen this.
What kind of ribs are these? Honestly, things are so fake nowadays, it's hard to believe.
How are these ribs made?
If we hadn't seen it with our own eyes, we wouldn't have believed it.
This is how they make special braised ribs.
They take pure meat, cut it into chunks, marinate, and cook it,
and then skewer it onto pre-washed dried rib bones.
The glossy sauce gives it that appealing look.
Don't speak to the taste, but it's strongly suspected these bones are just props.
No wonder when this netizen wanted to take them home for his dog,
the boss made every excuse.
Let's expose the fake snowflake beef at a barbecue shop.
How's it made?
Here's the secret.
Lay fresh beef fat on a cutting board, then take fresh tenderloin,
stack it as shown in the video, and cover it with another layer of fat.
Roll it up, wrap it in plastic wrap, and freeze for 30 minutes.
Then slice it into rounds, and voila, your fake snowflake beef is ready.
Even pig ears can be faked. These pre-smoked pig ears I bought?
What's inside?
Look, this part is glued together.
The pork skin is layered and stuck with adhesive.
This part is fake too.
What is this stuff made of?
That's edible plastic.
A netizen said,
The fishmonger totally fooled me.
I thought I picked a nice fat fish.
Turns out there was another fish stuffed inside its belly.
Look at the size.
I really thought I scored a deal, but it was just a trick.
Heenan's counterfeit goods are notorious.
The reality was exposed behind many common fake foods.
How scary is Heenan's manufacturing scene?
At the peak of Red Bull's popularity,
a can from Luohe cost no more than 2 yuan.
And a whole case of functional, Red Bull was less than 50 yuan,
but had to be shipped quietly.
Coca-Cola from Jumadian cost mere cents,
and was once exposed because the bottles were soft.
In Zhengzhou, frozen dumplings, beef or lamb,
were sold for just 2 yuan a bag.
In Jiaozuo, where people wash their feet with soda water.
Counterfeit goods by unscrupulous merchants are everywhere,
even in medicinal herbs that are hard to distinguish.
Real and fake.
It's hard to tell the difference?
Even Chinese herbal medicines, which are supposed to heal,
are being faked.
Real and fake.
How many can you spot?
First, poria.
Rub it in your hand.
If it produces white powder, it's fake, made from cassava flour.
Real poria is a fungus and doesn't powder.
Second, astragalus.
It has brown skin.
Mulberry twigs are gray and brittle.
Break real astragalus and you'll see fibrous strands.
Third, sour jujube seeds.
Real ones have clean skins, but pear jujube seeds have spots.
Fourth, citrus grandis peel.
Real peel has fine fuzz.
Fake ones don't.
The next video is even more shocking.
A netizen exclaimed in astonishment,
Oh my gosh, the old Chinese doctor told me to eat fried fingernails
with nail polish still on them.
Another netizen said,
My wife had a polyp and saw a traditional doctor.
When we got the herbs home, she said,
How do I eat this?
These are human fingernails.
On February 12, 2025,
firefighters in a Taiyuan, Shaanxi neighborhood
encountered a defective fire extinguisher.
Look at this fire extinguisher.
Looks brand new.
It looks fine, but it's a counterfeit.
So-called non-standard.
The powder inside isn't even a fire suppressant.
It can't put out fires.
A netizen added,
Friends, see this?
Where's the real wood these days?
They dye cheap wood and sell it at solid wood prices.
Honestly, what's wrong with these merchants?
Always faking things.
Don't they feel any guilt?
Look, that solid wood furniture they paid top dollar for
just dyed veneer.
Didn't we agree that Chinese shouldn't scam Chinese?
Why are you doing this?
Are we all just suckers to you?
This liofengxiang bracelet is hollow,
and the weld broke.
Guess what's inside?
Mud.
Hardened mud.
One lady paid for gold and got the fake.
Let's talk about fake hechen jade.
Here's how it's made.
First, they sort cheap scrap by size.
Then they tumble it for a week to polish it into
seed jade shapes.
Next, they soak it in chemical dyes.
Look.
This is the high-end red skin,
white flesh hechen jade you adore.
It's all dyed and heat treated.
Would you wear this?
These chemicals are filthy and toxic.
But the final product?
Glossy and attractive.
This garbage is sold on livestreams.
Under the CCP, fake goods are everywhere,
and it's impossible to keep up.
What's real anymore?
Gold is fake.
Toilet paper?
Fake.
Down jackets?
Fake.
Cosmetics?
Fake.
Eat an egg?
Fake.
Drink some wine?
Fake.
Milk?
Fake.
Soda?
Fake.
Hot pot?
Besides the pot, everything's fake.
The noodles, duck blood, fish sticks, meatballs.
Barbecue?
Besides the fire, the lamb is fake.
Beef is fake.
Squid is fake.
Cook at home?
The oil is fake.
Soy sauce is fake.
Even the egg yolk in a mooncake is fake.
Just additives and flavorings.
One netizen shared,
Chinese people have a skill that's number one in the world.
Counterfeiting.
They used to fake money, but now with mobile payments,
even thieves are out of work.
So they fake everything else.
To sum it up,
clothing, food, housing, transportation, daily necessities,
even bodily functions.
If it exists, it can be faked.
Why is counterfeiting so pervasive in China?
From daily necessities and food to antiques, jade, and luxury goods.
The root cause lies in the CCP's decades-long rule,
during which traditional Chinese culture has been systematically dismantled.
In its place, a culture of deception,
moral decay, and mutual distrust has taken root.
When traditional values are lost,
conscience becomes expendable.
Profit is pursued at the expense of ethics,
and harm is done without remorse.
This has plunged society into a state of mutual harm,
where even those who profit temporarily cannot escape becoming victims themselves.
In a world full of fakes,
integrity is the rarest commodity of all.
Over 20 Buddha statues fully emerge as water levels drop in Sichuan Reservoir.
Red Star News reported that a field visit was conducted on June 19, 2025.
At the site of the Foji Temple cliff carvings,
more than 20 Buddha statues,
carved around a stone lion and a giant rock,
were fully exposed this year.
The stone lions, one holding an embroidered ball,
sit facing each other at the reservoir's edge,
as if in conversation.
The Buddha statues surrounding the giant rock vary in design,
and are vividly carved.
Higher up on the cliff,
some carvings remain visible throughout the year.
Deng Yongfu, a local cultural relics protector and resident,
stated that since the reservoir began storing water in 1974,
the submerged Foji Temple cliff carvings
have typically revealed only the Buddha heads during the dry season.
The lower stone lions, however,
have fully emerged only in the past 10 years.
Each exposure lasts two to three months.
Since 2020,
the carvings have completely emerged for three consecutive years.
This underwater Buddha kingdom gained public attention in 2020.
In that year,
the resurfacing of cliff carvings at Luohan Temple and Foji Temple
brought attention to the Shufangba Reservoir's underwater Buddha kingdom.
According to 76-year-old Deng Yongfu,
after the reservoir's construction in 1974,
both a pair of stone lions and the cliff carvings
on a giant rock at Foji Temple were submerged.
However, during almost every dry season,
the Buddha heads would reappear above water.
In years of drought,
the lower portions, including the stone lions,
would also fully emerge.
Deng said,
These submerged carvings and stone lions have fully emerged for over 10 years,
typically remaining visible for two to three months
before being submerged again when the water level rises.
Since 2020,
they have surfaced almost every year.
Due to increasing public interest,
tourists now visit during the dry season.
The Foji Temple cliff carvings were designated
as a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Unit in 2012.
Anyue's stone carving tradition dates back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties
and flourished during the Tang and Song Dynasties.
Today, the region boasts more than 230 sites and over 100,000 cliff carvings,
earning it the title,
Hometown of Chinese Stone Carvings.
According to an official statement released by Anyue authorities in 2020,
The Shufengba Reservoir was constructed in the 1970s
with a catchment area of over 130 square kilometers.
Upon its completion,
several Buddhist statues along the water's edge were submerged.
The historic Shengdeng Temple was completely inundated,
leaving thousands of Buddhist statues underwater,
while Luohan Temple and Foji Temple were partially submerged.
During the dry season,
some of these statues re-emerge,
although many remain permanently underwater.
A similar event occurred recently in Hebei City, Hainan Province.
In late May, as water levels receded at the Duofeng Reservoir in Qi County,
a stone cave emerged.
The walls of the cave were densely covered
with finely carved lifelike Buddha statues,
although portions of the cave still held standing water.
Netizens dubbed it the Thousand Buddha Cave,
and some traveled to the site to visit.
On May 31st,
a staff member from the Qi County Cultural Tourism Bureau
confirmed the existence of the cave and its Buddha statues,
noting that it had been discovered several years prior.
Earlier reports stated that the cave is typically submerged
and only becomes visible when reservoir levels drop.
The cave is approximately two meters high,
featuring a central Buddha statue on one wall
surrounded by numerous smaller figures carved into the inner walls.
However, due to prolonged submersion,
many of the statues have suffered erosion,
with missing heads and hands.
According to Qi County records,
the Qianzui Stone Cave was carved during the Eastern Wei Dynasty
and remained hidden on remote cliffs for centuries.
In the mid-20th century,
it was submerged following the construction of the Duofeng Reservoir.
