Elon Musk frankly revealed SpaceX's HARDEST problem prevent Starship survival reentry...
In the journey to take humans to the Moon and beyond to Mars, there is one major Starship obstacle that even Elon Musk has to admit: the heat shield.
The Starship version 1 variants have shown many problems with the heatshield during testing and solutions have been continuously updated.
Badly, Elon Musk recently reiterated that the Heatshield is still an extremely serious problem that has almost dashed the dream of conquering Mars.
So, what is really causing it to be in trouble?
And what solution will SpaceX propose to change this whole mess?
Let's find out in today's episode of Alpha Tech:

A few hours before flight 9 took off, Elon Musk had a short interview with Tim Dodd, a professional host of the YouTube channel Everyday Astronaut. This interview lasted just over 10 minutes but revealed a lot of important information about Musk's plan with heatshields on Starship. In response to Tim Dodd's question, Musk mentioned that (0:31) "by far the most important thing is the high heating phase of re-entry". Honestly, the re-entry phase of test flight number 9 is the most important part to prove whether hexagonal heat shields really work.

Take a close look at the heat shield of Starship before flight. Do you see, like me, that there are a few strangely colored tiles distributed in many positions along the ship's hull?. SpaceX intentionally removed certain heat-shield tiles from the Ship to test how well vulnerable sections could withstand stress, and it experimented with various tile materials, including one featuring an active cooling mechanism. Unfortunately, Flight 9 did not go as Musk had hoped.
