Nestled within the secure embrace of a gated community, on a generous 620 square meter plot, stood the nascent form of QUADROS House. Conceived by the thoughtful minds at gruta.arquitetos, this dwelling was envisioned as a sanctuary for a couple and their vibrant trio of children. The initial blueprint was a delicate dance between necessity and desire, carefully navigating mandatory setbacks while prioritizing the seamless integration of social spaces. This initial constraint became the very seed of the home's design, guiding the architects toward an ingenious solution.
The pivotal moment in shaping QUADROS House came with the strategic decision to consolidate the family's private quarters into a distinct, longitudinal block. This purposeful compartmentalization acted as the cornerstone of the entire layout, allowing the remaining space to unfold with fluidity and intention. From this linear arrangement of bedrooms and personal retreats, the social heart of the home began to emerge, promising a harmonious balance between individual space and shared experiences.
