Modern House with a Private Garden Above the Street

Casa da Mana begins with a strange problem.
The best view faced the street.
And so did the morning sun.

Instead of closing itself off, the house creates a protected transition between the street and private life: a gabion wall, an elevated garden square, a cantilevered veranda, and a sequence of spaces that allow the house to open to light without becoming fully exposed.

The result is not a spectacular form, but a smart architectural solution.

A house about privacy without complete closure.
About distance without isolation.
And about turning the front of the plot into the place where the architecture begins.
