Top MLB Plays of 5/25 (Corbin Carroll, Brandon Lowe, and Trevor Larnach DIVE and MORE)!

Hit well to right. Dale and Lyle to his left. A little lunging catch there for the rookie. Might not have looked the prettiest, but it's a pretty result. Line drive. Oh, look at Ike go up and get it. Perfect timing on the jump. Right at the top of his jump, able to snare that ball to the top of his glove. Perfect job. That ball was hit pretty well too. And Donovan clobbers one. This is to right center through the smoke from the fireworks. And Corbin Carroll makes a spectacular sliding grab. The smoke hasn't even cleared from the home run celebration. And Corbin had to look through that and made a tremendous catch in right center. With his shades on, no less. I didn't think there was any way he could catch up to that ball off the bat. Man, taking away extra bases that time. Two on, one out. This one lined up the middle. And Correa with a lunging catch made in the air. All of a sudden in this instance, they're playing the infield back. And it allows Correa to have a play on a ball that maybe finds a way to sneak its way through if they are up with the edge of the grass. This one on the ground deep short. Mason backhand. Strong throw. Off target. Did Burleson hold the bag? He did. What a stretch. What a play by Winn. What a stretch at first. That ball spinning like crazy. Mason gets what he knows with the speedy Alec Thomas. And he's going to have to let it fly. It ends up sailing up the super sinker up the line. But what a job by Burley. Line toward left. Over is Pham. And he holds on. A line out to left. Yeah, the ball slicing back towards him. Hit well. Gets that glove under it. Right above the turf. Hot shot. Volpe to his backhand. Comes up with it. Will he have enough on the throw? Ball on the field. It's overturned. So a great play by Anthony Volpe. He did have enough on the throw. Pasquitino's had a great series in the 1-0. This one tap weekly. First baseline. Who's going to take it, guys? Confusion. And France lunges for the bag. And he's out. Lee, Varlin, and France all converge. And then it was Ty grabbing it. And then his only play was to dive for the base. And the glove got to that 18-inch bag. And oh! And a diving stop by Brandon Lau. Makes the play at first. What a play. That's some pretty good coverage there by the Rays' second baseman, Brandon Lau. I'll tell you what. The Rays playing good defense all season long. But they have been spectacular in this series. Fly ball. Shallow center. Churio on the move. Churio is there. And he makes the catch. And tumbles down and survives. Great play by Jackson. Churio needed a good first step. He got it. And he saves a couple of runs from scoring. Carlson with a great defensive play. Goes into the slide to reel it in. That's a nice read. A nice jump on that ball right there. Coming hard. Moving towards the line. Catch. The Nationals have been flashing the leather in the outfield all series long. Hassel, Lyle, and now Cole. And this one dumped in the air to right field. Larnik coming on. He'll dive! And Trevor Larnik. With one of the best defensive plays he has made in the outfield in his career. A slicing, sinking line drive. And Larnik just into the game and right. Little pop. Arnato found ground. Onto the warning track. He's got it! Into the net again! He caught this plenty early. Momentum carried him in. But Arnato made an unbelievable catch. Then fell into the screen. And threw the ball to third base. First pitch Merrill sees. Liner to center. Harris! Every day he does it. Every single day. It's the second one he's taken away from Jackson Merrill in this series. And you're right. It is every day. And I find myself sitting here going, He's not going to get to that one. He can't get to all of them. And he does get to all of them. A line drive and a diving catch by Clark. He covers the ground. And a great start to the top of the seventh inning. He bails out Harris. With some great defense at center. Well and he had to make sure. Made the determination. Closed the gap easily I might add. Driven to center. Hill with a beat on it. Calling. Diving. Makes the catch. Derrick Hill. He sized that one up right away. Makes a nice grab. We'll go to the ninth. Rojas is going. McIver's throwing a second. Wilson's tagged. The A's have won the game.
