Welcome to Snuggle's Lullaby, where sleepy tales come to life under the stars.
Every story here is made with love and snuggly dreams. The title of our bedtime story tonight is
The Squirrel Who Sailed on a Leaf, a gentle adventure story about curiosity, courage,
and discovery. Dedicated to my three favorite dreamers, Jaden, Kaito, and Chike. So snuggle up,
close your eyes, and let's drift into a magical bedtime adventure.
Once upon a time, Pip was a little squirrel who lived high in the tallest oak tree.
He had fluffy gray fur and a stripy tail that curled like a question mark.
Every day, Pip looked across the big sparkling pond. What's on the other side? He asked.
No one knows, the older squirrels would say. We don't go down there.
But Pip was different. One windy morning, a huge leaf tumbled to the ground. Pip's eyes lit up.
I could sail on this leaf! He packed a crumb of nut cake, a bottle cap for a paddle, and tied a
pine needle to his tail for luck. Pip placed the leaf at the edge of the pond. He climbed on
carefully. With a tiny hop, splash, he set sail. Suddenly, bloop! A silly fish with a bubble on
its head popped up. Where are you going? the fish asked. To the other side? said Pip.
Watch out for ripple rocks, warned the fish and swam away. A floating log passed by with a turtle
on top. The turtle wore sunglasses and looked very relaxed. Keep your balance, he said. It gets breezy
Pip nodded, gripping his paddle tight. Then, whoosh! The wind blew hard. Waves rocked the leaf.
Pip's pine needle flag flapped wildly. He held on tight. Steady, steady, he whispered.
Geese flew in a v-shape overhead. One looked down and honked. Need a ride?
Pip smiled and shouted back. No thanks, I've got my own leaf. He saluted with his bottle cap paddle.
Soon, he passed a group of frogs singing on lily pads. Ribbit and row to the far shore you go.
One frog wore a tiny top hat. Pip beamed and waved. Finally, the leaf bumped against the far bank.
Pip climbed out. Around him were glowing flowers and shiny stones. A butterfly landed on his nose.
Pip giggled. By his feet lay a pink heart-shaped stone. That night, Pip returned to the oak tree
with the heart stone. The young squirrels gathered around. I met a fish with a bubble hat,
Pip said, and frogs that sing. Their eyes went wide. Can we come next time? Pip smiled.
Absolutely. The forest grew quiet as the stars came out. Pip curled up in his nest,
the heart stone beside him. He whispered, tomorrow, maybe I'll see where the river goes.
The end. Thank you for joining us in tonight's dreamy tale. We hope your heart feels warm and
your dreams take you somewhere wonderful. If you enjoyed the story, don't forget to subscribe
