While all eyes are on the Blue Origin NS-31 flight, what many people don’t realize is that NASA is already racing against the clock to prepare for Artemis II, the first crewed mission of the Artemis program, scheduled for launch around this time next year.
At Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Space Launch System rocket is now being stacked inside the iconic Vehicle Assembly Building, with teams working around the clock to put together the final components. NASA is clearly shifting focus and momentum to make sure Artemis II lifts off on time.

Meanwhile, unease is starting to grow around SpaceX’s side of the mission.
They’ve already landed billion-dollar contracts to deliver the Human Landing System for Artemis III, but up to now, there’s been complete radio silence. No official word on the Starship HLS. No updates on the crucial Orbital Propellant Depot.
