8 Years Off-Grid in Portugal: Permaculture Farm & Homestead Tour
8 years ago, I left my city job and bought 18 hectares of abandoned land in rural Portugal. There was nothing here — just degraded, overgrown hills. With help from friends, volunteers, the local community, and course participants, we’ve slowly transformed it into a thriving off-grid permaculture farm.
In this full tour, I take you across the land — from established food forests to natural buildings, our chicken system, reforestation zones, agroforests, water systems, and some remote areas of the land that have never been shown before.
Whether you're into permaculture, natural building, off-grid living, or land restoration — I hope this tour inspires and informs your own journey.
