When it comes to one of SpaceX's most important Starship launch sites, besides Starbase in Texas, we can’t overlook Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) in Florida.

Although development activities for Starship began later there, Florida has always been mentioned—especially by senior SpaceX officials, including Elon Musk—as a potential primary launch site for future Starship missions to the Moon and even Mars. Meanwhile, Starbase is expected to eventually serve primarily as a test facility.

However, despite four years of Starship development, LC-39A has seen relatively little visible progress, leading many to question the company's earlier statements.

But, in reality, it’s not that nothing has changed at LC-39A—it’s just that the changes have been so few and spaced out over such a long period that they haven’t attracted much attention.

In 2022, the first Mechazilla tower was erected in Florida, sparking hopes for the first Starship launches from the site. Following that, fuel storage tanks were installed, and support structures similar to those at Starbase’s Pad A began to appear.
