Will Witt interviews Tomi Lahren at the red carpet premiere of Death of a Nation.
What's up guys, this is Will with PragerU. Today, we're joined by Tommy Loren. How's it going?
It's going very well. Glad to be here.
This is Death of a Nation, the movie tonight. Are you excited?
Absolutely. Everything Dinesh does is edgy and it always starts an important conversation.
So it's a great place to be and especially when you can bring it right to what they call the epicenter of the resistance.
What better way to spend your Tuesday night?
Exactly. And I think what's important when you're talking about the resistance is a lot going on in California right now, which is crazy.
I know you live here as well. I live here. I live in Hollywood actually and it's crazy here.
Conservatives barely have a voice. How do we fix that in California?
I think we're getting louder and I think that really what we've looked at this state as being a lost cause for too long and I
don't think that it is. I think that there are so many conservatives here and there are so many
independents and even Democrats that are switching over with every tax, with every regulation, with every
ludicrous banning of plastic and straws and what-have-you and the appeasement of illegal immigrants.
I think that more and more Californians are realizing that it's realistic to be a conservative.
I don't think the state's a lost cause.
I think that we have a really good shot of winning the state over in the years to come.
What do you think about 2020 with that? How's it looking for Donald Trump?
Well, I can tell you this, the more that they parade out Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,
the better I feel about 2020 and the better I feel about midterms.
I hit up Cortez for an interview and she hasn't messaged me back on Twitter. We're still waiting for it.
What do you think about that whole platform? Why do you think she's so successful in a lot of ways?
I think people are yearning for a new young voice.
The Democrats certainly need it because beyond her, who do they really have?
It's a young voice that represents diversity, that represents a freshness to the party. They don't really have it.
So unfortunately they chose to make her the face.
I don't think they vetted her properly because clearly she doesn't know what she's talking about.
However, I think that the Democrats are starting to understand that now and starting to realize that and hopefully they can rein it back in.
I think that their party deserves better than that. Even though I'm a Trump supporter and a conservative, I'd like a challenge in 2020.
I don't think she presents one.
Let's definitely hope that that's not the future of their party.
Tommy, thank you so much. It's great to see you.
