Naresh Bhatt admits to dismembering Mamta Kafle's body

Now, we have the moment that the defendant, Naresh Bhatt, today took the stand admitting to dismembering his wife's body. Take a listen to At some point, did you start to cut the body of Momta Casa? What do you mean by lower? Like separate the legs from the body. Okay. This is a bombshell development in the case that has been five weeks at trial for this jury. This is after Naresh Bhat told police multiple times. There was multiple police body cam video evidence also played where he told police, again, multiple times, that he did not know where his wife was. He testified on the stand this morning to going to bed the night of July 29th of 2024 and waking up the next morning to find his wife on the ground. One which he described to the court was covered with vomit around her face, believing that there was also pills inside of her vomit, explaining essentially to the court as he's being walked through with the defense attorney, explaining to the court that it was believed suicide was the reason for his wife's death. And he claims he also tried to take his life in those moments before making the decision to discard her body.
