I love the land of Zhongtu,
The cradle where I was born and raised.
I cherish the culture of the Central Plains,
A timeless essence of five thousand years.
At dawn, we rise
At dusk, we rest
In spring, we admire peach blossoms, in autumn, the chrysanthemums
Men till the fields as women weave by the loom,
Children laugh and play, learning kindness and virtue.
Bright windows, spotless rooms, and attire simple yet refined,
Devoted wives raise children gracefully
In leisure, they find joy in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting
By the pavilion, water mirrors drifting clouds
Gentlemen walk with humility, honoring virtue and righteousness,
Revering Heaven, embracing destiny, across the ages.
Cultivating the self, nurturing the family, governing the land,
Balancing virtue and strength, embodying both pen and sword.
I love the land of Zhongtu,
The cradle where I was born and raised.
I cherish the culture of the Central Plains,
A timeless essence of five thousand years.
Oh, ancient land of Zhongyuan,
Memories of you linger deep within my soul.
Oh, land of Zhongtu,
How many sages and noble hearts have longed for you!
Time slips away like a fleeting steed,
Mountains rise and rivers shift, stars drift across the heavens.
What do the yellow earth and white poplars know,
Of changing seas and mulberry fields where old friends once dwelled?
The pure and simple spirit of the countryside endures,
Echoing with the warmth of familiar paths.
Once, Maitreya stretched his back, bringing joy to all,
Yet now, though Dafa is revealed, people remain lost.
The Wild Goose Pagoda of Xi’an, the ancient walls of the Forbidden City
Do they still remember where Taizong and Shengzu have gone?
The old temples in the capital, the quiet monasteries beyond the city
Who can unravel the eternal cycle of life and death?
The Central Plains, a fleeting traveler’s home!
