We Were So Wrong... Faith Reflections

Hello everybody welcome back to our channel if you guys haven't watched part one of this video. It is the video before this Oh, I also left my wedding band in the car. I feel so naked Without it No, I realized earlier and then I was filming and I was like everyone's gonna think we are over Thanks, and I'll cripple my way over to say hello. Hi guys. Oh, you're so tall Just finished my Chipotle Okay, can't flash that to the crowd behave yourself All right, so I'm just gonna roll the footage I don't I should probably start over what I don't know where what I'm even talking about All right Hello, everybody So basically, I just want I mean So distracting My love Anyway, I basically just came on here to introduce you to the video because it's gonna kind of just pick straight into it But if you guys haven't seen the mental breakdown video, I'd recommend watching that first So you guys have like a reference of what we're even reflecting on So I will have that linked somewhere here and linked in the description But yeah, I hope you guys enjoy our reflections during this video and we will see you next week So I think my biggest takeaway When I was first saved I really knew Jesus and had a relationship with him and I was walking With Jesus, that's why I was so joyful. That's why it was so free That's why I was so loving and I think as time has gone on I stopped walking with Jesus and I started walking with religion and I had a relationship with Religion instead of Jesus. I think when you're first saved, especially if you what it really didn't have too much church church experience You feel this great amount of love and freedom and then once you start walking in church and systems and religion who The devil likes to ride on religious people like as you can see all over the Bible the people who put Jesus to death were people of the church, so I think that huge revelation and like realizing like something has just been off and missing and it's because I stopped focusing so much on Jesus and started focusing on the systems of religion and religious people and It really prevented me from loving people the way Jesus loves them Because I mean God is love like read that. I don't know what that is in the Bible there's a whole paragraph about who God is and that God is love and He will know his children by the way, they love and that is not seen in religion religion is about fixing people and I think That's just where I've been I think you start to get proud like you are saved and you're you realize like how much you need a Savior and then you get Religious and you're like, oh I need to fix all these things about me and I'm not doing this anymore And I'm not doing this and then you start getting prideful of like, oh, I'm so saved Like I'm not doing any of these things anymore. And then you're like, oh wait that person over there like they're saved You know, they're going out getting drunk and having sex and then you start judging other people a lot of times We start judging people who aren't even saved right? It's like what they don't even know the Lord and it's just like I Just realized like that's what the direction I was headed and like no wonder I felt so Disconnected from God is because I had no love like I wasn't focusing on Jesus Focusing on other people and judging them and trying to be God instead of letting God judge people because it said I wrote down God is putting the blame on the enemy not man. He came to judge sin. Let him Religion just tells us to go to God to get fixed we don't know how to enjoy God because we feel like we need to work for it all and You know, it's not of works it's a gift We're supposed to enjoy God and so many of us are like, oh, how do I you know, how do I do this? How do I do that? It's like that's all works That's all about what you can do instead of just beholding God and another thing. I wrote down was We have been told to read the Bible to be fixed and not to behold Jesus Come on, we go to the Bible to look at ourselves So think about all the people who are we post in Scripture trying to convict you and it's like they're not going to Scripture To look for Jesus. They're going to look to Scripture to judge other people I'm just like this is what we've been doing. Like this is what I've been in a relationship with religion for months years That's what I've been doing. I go to Scripture to like Oh Either one God fix me Like how can I get fixed, right? Because you know, we're always told we need to get fixed and we need to be perfect and all that stuff Which is so not the gospel of Jesus and or to How do I fix this other person? What does it say in the Bible about what they're doing over there and it just right now it's really I'm focusing on the Justin Bieber stuff like everyone's pissed off that Justin Bieber songs are glorifying this and glorifying that and it's like everyone's going to Scripture like God Like what is he doing? That's against the Bible instead of going to look in Scripture to see Jesus and see how much Jesus loves him regardless and how many times Jesus has met you and your sin and walked you through it and convicted you and changed you through his loving presence like the Opinions of us are evil like our opinions are evil our opinions our judgment like our evil judgments like let God do all of that stuff and Yeah Amen. Yeah, I listened to a really good podcast by Brad And I'll link in the description and it really gave me a fresh perspective on God meeting us where we are at in our walk with him in love and how to like a Tangible example of like how much he loves us and I think we all forget it because we start walking with religion And we get all prideful that like oh, well, I don't drink anymore. It's like, okay Well when I was drinking God was loving me anyway And he was patient with me as I walked through it to be delivered from that You know if all and then also like we're all reacting Like then I see like if I'm pissed off about what someone else is doing That means something ugly is manifesting in me and God's not like oh, yeah focus on what Justin Bieber's doing He's like, excuse me. Why is all this ugliness coming up in you cayenne? Why are you judging him so much? Why don't you just? Look for me in this situation Maybe all this ugliness and bitterness and judgment is coming up not for you to talk about Justin Bieber But for you to look at yourself and say, okay God, I see you What are you trying to deliver in me? Because obviously the greatest commandment is love and if I'm not feeling love right now, and I don't see your Perfect love in it, which perfect love is no hooks. It doesn't matter what you do to me. It's loving your enemies It's feeding your enemies Especially feeding your brothers and sisters in Christ You know, even if they're not behaving every which way you want them to Anyway, sorry. No, it's so good So hardcore, that's so good That has been weighing heavy on me for a while and it's it's just conviction It's conviction that we've been receiving with our own lives Like the Lord's just been like really hitting us with this and we're like, how have we been so blind like we've been walking in this We've been doing this, you know, and you know, we know there's No perfect person out there. So Everybody's experiencing this in one way or another but yet until it comes into light until we expose it We're gonna keep walking in this this darkness blinded So that's what your experience is what I'm experiencing is Conviction from the Lord and he's setting us on fire about it because we're like wow It's really that simple and I was gonna share a couple other things But the last thing you said just I feel like I'll just kind of add on to that because everything you said was like fantastic We are getting delivered from having to fix people and stepping into loving people without an agenda and Matthew 13 24 through 30 is the greatest Commandments, right? And the closer you get to Jesus the more things rise up inside of you That needs to be fixed and this is beautiful. It's his process of sanctification So when we look at the greatest Commandments love God with all your heart mind soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself Right. It's really that simple and in that love it's his love Through us his love perfect love that cast out all fear that love that covers a multitude of sins, right? It's forget that one. Oh, yeah, it's his love that Is life that's all that matters and we need to Understand if we're going outside of that where we're going away from Jesus We're walking away from Jesus if we stay in that place and just receiving his love Allowing his love to bring the darkness out of us Allowing his love to help us take authority over that to overcome that Allowing his love to set us free to deliver us and allowing his love through us just like with Brad Him his love through Brad is what opened me up and set me free from the ugliness inside of me that I was holding on To so tightly and it was just beautiful. It's amazing. It's all about love it really is that simple and the last thing I'll say is You don't have to know what to say. You just need to know how to listen with care alright, it's Religion tells you what you need to change love doesn't yet brings change. Think about that one it's literally what she was talking about and I'll say that one more time religion tells you you need to change love doesn't yet brings change Amen and when you exactly And when you love a person as they are People get Encountered they get encountered by the love of Christ and that's what delivers them. That's what sets them free That's what changes people and helps them become more like Jesus. Yeah, so it's beautiful because it's not you've got to get that, right? It's not just saying oh just love everybody. It's not that I mean you are supposed to love everybody But the thing is you're trusting God To deliver it to save them to deliver them to change them not trying to change them yourselves, right? We just love yeah We love and trust God to do the rest, but they need to encounter and that's why it says in the Bible they I will know my You know sons and daughters by the way They love because that's what he has commissioned us to do is to love and to share The gospel and be disciples which is fellowshipping with people loving on them telling them about Jesus Yeah, and you trust God Obviously in sometimes in certain circumstances and close relationships He may use you in a way to help change somebody But that's only if he tells you and you have to be submitted it you know, there's times where friends of mine saw that what I was doing was wrong and Sometimes they said something and sometimes they didn't but either way I knew they were submitting to God and what he was asking them to do in that moment Who I was like messing around with Tarot cards and angel cards and like doing stuff like that and she's like, oh Like you believe in that stuff as I was a Christian and I was like, yeah And she's like, okay, and I imagine she just like knew God didn't want her to say anything But God still loved me in that moment You know even though I was doing those things and he was so patient and gracious to walk me out of that stuff and like Slowly reveal what I could handle Imagine if she were to just like like come down on me. I would not have Seen God in that Yeah, it would have been a religious experience like why are you working on the Sabbath? You know, yeah, that's what we're doing Anyway, anyway, so good. That is that is that that's like a Welcome to our TED talk. Yeah, like a brief Yeah, there's so much more and I imagine we'll just share like we our goal is to just share these things naturally through the way We live right? So I I know more of these conversations will come up Spending more time with you guys sharing more. Yeah, we even realized the because he said he's like I knew all these things I was supposed to be doing to lead you cuz I was like Can we study the Bible together can we pray together but there was so much resistance Oh, so much like so confused. I'm like what's happening? I thought I married a Christian man who's gonna like read the Bible and pray and all this stuff little did she know I was super religious and Even in that God was protecting me because at that time he would have been leading me Probably into more systems into more religion Into more things that I was doing the same thing as her. I'm stuck in the systematic religious mindset not even realizing it thinking I'm walking with the Lord and the Lord wrote it, you know and same experience with her. He was in Guinea I walked with him for a while and then I got into the system and all that and not even realizing it It's like I started walking ahead of him with this with the system with religion and just he's like no come over here And I'm like wait, but it sounds like you're saying come over here. I might like the voices got mixed up and wild But yeah, he was protecting her from me leading her deeper into a religious systematic mindset and and no process and pattern Yeah, and now he's like, okay You're ready to go cuz now I'm in it. So it's so good So he stopped me from leading her stopped me with the videos and all that stuff and now it's just like, okay Like he's back in it. All right, Jesus now, what do you want to do? And now we're just going with them Yeah, amen. Praise God praise the Lord. Praise the lamb. That's right If you were in a school like you won't understand any of this Amazing testimonies go listen to his podcast cuz I'm sure he shares a lot of stories like he was sharing Stories about just like witches coming to church. I just how loving them got them delivered. Yeah So good. So good. It's all about love people. Oh my gosh, you see how big he is.
