3: Shipwrecks and Ruins

This week, we talk about Hubert Robert's The Shipwreck, accession number 1927.34 at the Worcester Art Museum. It's such an incredible piece, you might think that the artist spent his entire life painting naval landscapes and shipwrecks. But he didn't. So why did he paint this one?
