Kathy Griffin, the comedian infamous for holding a fake severed head of Donald Trump, is back in the spotlight. Now, she's claiming that President-elect Trump plans to put her in an internment camp during his second term. Griffin insists she’s “not kidding,” telling her audience that Trump has a list of people he plans to target. Her dramatic claims seem aimed at reviving her dwindling fan base, encouraging people to attend her comedy tour while she still can.

Griffin isn’t alone in her Trump fear-mongering. Hollywood figures like Will Ferrell have also expressed their disdain. Ferrell actively campaigned for Kamala Harris, even mocking Trump supporters in skits like “Billy on the Street.” Now, post-election, Ferrell seems to be taking the results hard, with footage of him dressed as Buddy the Elf looking dejected at a sports game.

Griffin’s latest remarks add her to the growing list of celebrities struggling to cope with Trump’s resurgence. But as Trump prepares to retake office, Hollywood elites are realizing their influence is waning.

While comedians fret, Washington insiders are also making moves. Matthew Graves, the U.S. Attorney in D.C., has resigned just before Trump’s inauguration. Known for prosecuting over 1,000 individuals involved in the January 6 incident, Graves has faced criticism for allegedly targeting people based on their political beliefs. His departure has fueled speculation that he’s stepping down to avoid scrutiny under the new administration.

President-elect Trump has hinted at issuing over 1,000 pardons for individuals convicted in connection with January 6, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from figures like Senator Adam Schiff. Schiff has labeled the pardons as an affront to democracy, particularly as Trump plans to revisit the events of that day.

During an interview, Trump mentioned figures like Ray Epps, questioning why some individuals seemed to escape accountability. Trump emphasized that many people involved in the Capitol events have suffered unfairly, promising to review each case closely.

The media’s handling of Trump-related events stands in stark contrast to their treatment of Democrats. For instance, while Griffin faced little backlash for her provocative photo, Trump supporters have been subjected to extensive legal and media scrutiny. Similarly, President Joe Biden pardoned his own son for years of potential crimes, yet the focus remains on Trump’s alleged wrongdoings.

Griffin herself warned other comedians that Trump’s second term would make their work difficult. However, it’s clear that the political clout of Hollywood elites like her and Ferrell has diminished. Their overt political messaging no longer resonates with a public tired of the same narratives.
