The trip where 3 years of work came together. Starting in October 2010 without having sat on a motorcycle at all, less than 3 years later it was time for the 5000 mile solo motorcycle trip that would make a dream become reality. The route went from Rotterdam, The Netherlands through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany and Switzerland towards Brindisi, Italy, before taking the ferry to Igoumenitsa, Greece. The ride then continued from Igoumenitsa to Patras, Kalamata and ultimately Cape Tenaron, the southernmost point of continental Greece, before turning back through Athens, Veria, Ioannina, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. In total the ride was 8182 km (5084 miles) in length, going right across the European continent and 13 of its countries, creating awareness about suicide prevention along the way through supporting the To Write Love On Her Arms-foundation (see www.twloha.com) . Thousands of miles, two wheels and thirteen reasons - see www.thirteenreasons.nl for the full story, route, backgrounds and updates! Thanks go out to Heiko Spaans for the drive-by footage from 3:11 to 3:27 The music is not owned by me. It's 'The Perfect Symmetry' from the awesome French band Demians.
