In Mylos, we travel for about 12 to 14 hours. I can't remember. From Amsterdam this morning we
woke up at about 6.30. We catch a very early morning flight. So we are exhausted but so happy
to be here. It's so beautiful. We're just gonna go get dinner and then probably crash after this.
Our first day in Mylos. I'm just on my way to go get breakfast. Had a really nice night of sleep.
Very happy with our accommodation. I'll link it down below in the description box if you want to
check it out. We're just gonna enjoy being in Polonia which is where we booked our accommodation.
We've got another three days here so plenty of time to do all the things that we want to do.
Coming from the Netherlands we don't take the sunshine for granted and it's just so nice to
feel real summer weather finally.
Okay we've rented a car and today is going to be a beach day in Mylos. So the first place we're
going to is called Furiaplaka beach. Something for you to know about in case you are also planning
to come here. Parking is actually quite difficult. As you can see behind me there are places to park
but it's not like a proper parking lot. You just have to find parking on the side. Right now it's
11 a.m. on a Sunday and it's pretty packed. It was pretty hard for us to find a spot. Anyway
I'm just waiting for Gustavo. I can see him now walking towards me. I just thought I would let
you guys know. It looks like an absolutely beautiful beach. I can't wait to just put our
stuff down. We're planning to go to about three beaches today. Let's see. It's quite ambitious but
we do have a car and it's much easier to navigate today. Beach number three with Gustavo. Obviously
look how clear the water is. I'm not sure if I'm gonna go swimming but the water temperature is so
nice so maybe I should. I'm just amazed by how beautiful every single place has been. Day three
in Milos. Gustavo is driving at the moment. I just wanted to say hi. We had a really really nice day
yesterday. We went to three beaches which at first I thought was quite ambitious but with a car it's
quite easily done. Right now we're going to a famous place or relatively well-known place on
Milos Island. It's called Sarakiniko beach. It's like a cliffside beach and that you can jump off
into the water. I'm not 100% sure. We'll see when we're there. Obviously being pregnant I don't think
I can swim there so I think I'm just gonna take some pictures and videos and then we're gonna go
to two other beaches on the southern part of the island. We had a lovely breakfast on the balcony
as well. We decided to just buy some things from the supermarket and make our own breakfast. Now
feeling very refreshed and ready to start our new day. It's so hot. I think it's close to 35 degrees
Celsius and there's barely any wind as well so it is actually optimal beach weather but my body is
just not used to this extreme heat anymore. So anyway thankfully we have a beach umbrella. I
We're in Plaka now. We just sat down for dinner and we ordered a cheese pie. I saw someone else
on YouTube eating this so I thought yes we have to try this. Apparently it's filled with feta and
coated with honey and sesame so very excited. I also bought a new hat. That's all we've done in
Plaka. We were meant to come here for the sunset but I think I derailed those plans because I spent so
long trying on clothes. That's okay. It's very very cute here. There's a lot of little alleys.
Hopefully after dinner there's still some sunlight and we can see what the place is like. This one
has a lot of pebbles so I would recommend bringing water shoes which I do have. I'm gonna go get them
later but I actually think the pebbles make the water even clearer looking. It gives this light
blue reflection but yeah it's super beautiful and so clear and even as I stand here I can see fish
in the water swimming so if you bring a snorkel or some goggles you'll definitely be able to see
some amazing things underwater. I'm gonna enjoy this water now.
Finished lunch and I both agree that this is very relaxed. We've got a restaurant nearby but there's
no like loud music. It's not tacky. It's not crowded. Going back to Polonia which is right
by our home. So that's what we're going to do for the rest of the evening before dinner. Can't
believe it's already 4.30pm. That's it from me. I'll see you in Polonia.
It's our last dinner in Polonia. Gustavo's busted out his holiday shirt. He only wears this when he's
like 10 out of 10 happy so yeah it's a good sign that he's wearing it. I'm also tan shades dark.
I'm so tan from consecutive days of going to the beach. Yeah we just have had such a nice time in
and this is our favorite restaurant. It's called Anna Leon but we've come here for like three
dinners now and that really means that we really like it. I mean we've obviously tried other places
around the island but this is by far our favorite place. If you're in Polonia definitely recommend it.
I ordered the prawn saganaki and Gustavo ordered the tuna steak. So I'll show you that in a second.
