Good morning from Athens!
I am currently on a little mother and daughter trip because it was my mom's birthday.
When was your birthday mom? Last month. So I decided to take her on a little
girl's trip. I've never been to Greece and she hasn't either so we're gonna spend
two days in Athens and then two days in a nearby island. And yeah we just arrived,
checked into our Airbnb and we're gonna go explore the way here from the metro station
was already so mesmerizing. The city just looks so beautiful, so like it's very very hot,
so lively but I'm really like excited to go explore. So come with us!
Into a foreign land that I don't need your head on oh so many beds
Following the trail where you were with those but when are you coming home again
I guess you have seen it all
Answer that adventure's call traveling high and low
Good morning and welcome to day two of Athens! We woke up bright and early. It is 7 30 now
to go see the Acropolis because I think it gets really crowded later during the day and it's also
gonna be so hot. Even yesterday I think it was 34 degrees. So we thought let's go in the morning,
that way we don't melt.
Oh no flowers
Are you enjoying your mother-daughter trip? Yes very much!
We were wondering if it's really necessary to come at 8 a.m
but ignore the crowds it's just actually genuinely so hot already so I'm so glad that we came at 8
because I can't imagine how much hotter it's going to get later during the day.
I am glistening like a glazed donut
I guess you have seen it all

Traveling high and low
Come home for me
Again I said please don't sweat it for it's no use
For I'll no longer run away for you
The secrets of the mountain tops
It is stupidly hot and I'm feeling very grateful that I bought this hat
I normally just like go out in the sun without any sort of sun protection but this is a bit wild
so we just did a bit of sightseeing and we're gonna go have lunch now. I think our battery is like
coming down a bit
We took a two-hour ferry from Athens this morning and we have two more nights in Greece and so we
decided to spend it on such a slow and quiet island. It's not very touristy apparently more
locals come here and I just found it on TikTok of course but it looks so freaking beautiful already
we just checked into our hotel we're gonna go grab a bite to eat and then we're just gonna walk around
read like our books take it super freaking slow. I'm like constantly looking there because I can
see the sea peeking out and it's just like glimmering and glittering away. Okay bye
We're sitting on the side of a random street got some iced coffee and there's a really lovely breeze
which you can probably hear. The city is so quiet there's barely any people it feels really serene
so I think we might go for a swim later as the sun sets a little bit more and yeah there's honestly
not much to do here so it feels super relaxing. I've heard that Syros is an island that not many
tourists come to and mainly has more like local Greek visitors and apparently it holds a lot of
history for the Greeks so maybe that's why it's very yeah just not at all busy. We're here in July
peak season and there's barely anyone here
oh i've been back to the garden
my love i've tried to pass the clouding fear so close you can reach it
what once was hard to see well now it's here
so
everything everything was good boat trip was nice Athens was very nice this is also nice
i mean yeah our first time in Greece so it's a good introduction yeah the weather is nice
sometimes it's too hot but nice breeze are you on the camera please
thanks okay we had a good quality time yes hot enough relaxed enough yes
oh my god yes i think you more than me yeah
okay all in all glad you liked it thank you and we had the best guide the tour guide the two
to organize the tour guide i mean nothing i was just flowing floating following as it should be
yeah well thank you thanks to you and yeah yeah everything was superb great
so i never really vlogged the remainder of the day because we just got the ferry back from
Syros back to Athens and then we had like a few hours to kill in Athens and now we are at the
airport i've already had to say bye to my mom because she's flying from a different terminal
so that was sad um it was a really good time though it's a bit difficult for me because
i live in a different country to my parents and i would love to spend more time with them
see them more frequently rather than every once in a while so yeah this trip was a nice way to
try and spend quality time with my mom which is really really nice i always get a bit sad saying
bye to them but hopefully we can do more trips like this in future and i already feel very
privileged that i didn't get to take time off to spend with my mom um so yeah my glasses keep
slipping if any of you guys live away from your family or if you've got any tips and tricks on
how you stay connected with them let me know i think i do a pretty decent job of it but i think
there's always room for improvement right so yeah see you back in london
