I'm a bit of a pack rat, especially with books, recorders and memorabilia and stuff.
I mean, the apartment has already been overwhelmed by things.
And I felt like I was in danger of becoming one of these tough guys.
At first I thought I'd just protect everything and make it fine.
Men feel I really have to leave things.
To help him with this task David the professional hemoragist Hiroko Watanabe.
She uses the KonMari method and is a certified Master KonMari-konsult.
I don't know about others, but I can't expect anyone to do it on their own.
Just go read Marie Kondo's book or watch our show.
I can't expect anyone to really do it without help.
On one day with a new client, Hiroko goes through a kind of ritual where she eats in the middle of the house.
She closes her eyes and does what she calls to limit the house where she introduces herself.
And ask the house to support clients in the process of getting and staying organized.
Then she goes through a process of helping clients come up with a vision for their ideal lifestyle.
This single vision helps guide the whole organisational development.
The Kon-Mari method is a very unique method.
Man knows what man wants, genomes look at things.
And whether it's a spark of joy or not.
And if that's not a spark of joy, let it go.
And when you let it go, let it go with gratitude.
Before I helped organize, I did the little labels and put everything in order.
And reorganized everything, but there was no feeling of letting it go.
What I like about the KonMari method is the whole way of saying thank you and seeing if it sparks joy.
It's a very organic and psychological process.
The Kon-Mari method requires that one go through every single object one can.
And decide what man shall keep and what man shall cast.
It would of course be overwhelming without a systematic approach.
And that's why Marie Kondo recommends you sort your things by category.
Take for example clothes.
Many people keep clothes not just in clothes,
I'm not even in the bookcase, on the couch, in the kitchen, on the toilet.
So we gathered all the clothes in one place.
And you decide if we're going to make the city sparkle or not.
David and Hiroko did the KonMari method together between December 2021 and January 2022.
During the period, nine sessions were held on weekdays of three to five hours.
I'm not going to sit here.
And make further progress when they don't teach during winter and summer.
He shares with me the benefits he's raised.
I know my brother and sister.
And it opens up a place inside my heart and inside my life.
Under KonMari method changes of their skills for making decisions.
And the sin changes too.
I recommend it all the time to people.
I think, especially if you are someone who skipper things,
So it's very good to have the support of your life and everything that comes from your own time.
And to find out when the use of things has stopped.
Especially clothes and things that you actually use.
David said he threw about 25% of his stuff when he used the KonMari method.
This is especially important since he also told me that he couldn't throw away anything.
There's a need to get ready and start again.
And that's what KonMari can do.
