Femton strokes are enough to make you hit your driver farther and straighter that's the video for just that
We'll start with that once
Hi Max Persson here from mxpgolf se
Warmly welcome back and to the video fifteen shots to hit your driver farther and straighter
This is the follow-up from another popular video where I had fifteen shots to finally get rid of your slice
That's also what I said that if there was interest I would really love to make a driver video and that's this one
I would like to ask you for a little help before we start with this
To help me reach more golfers out there and help the mxpgolf industry grow
So it means a lot to me that you want to subscribe to the YouTube channel
Like the video and why not leave a comment and tell us what you think about the video
All parts help me very very much
The fact is that a large part of you watching today are not subscribers
Well if you're wondering how you could help me with my work this is the absolutely easiest way
This is a site where you can have something to talk about and fifteen shots that can make a big difference for you and your swing in the future
Femton yards to hit longer and straighter might sound unbelievable but the fact is that I've done this with many players and it really works
It's basically a process that requires you to be aware throughout and to take each hit as a new step in your development
Stay focused on the task stay focused in the process and I promise you this will work
Maybe it's not that you're doing all the steps fully east maybe it's that you just need to adjust a bit
Take it step by step and I promise you this will help you become a better driver
With that said let's get started right away
We have fifteen shots on us to hit a longer and straighter drive and I have some tools with me
I have some lassos some boots and ranch balls Such
things we find on the ranch when we are training
For the first strike and the first step I would like you to take a sight stick or a club
I have to know where I'm aiming to determine if I hit the ball where I intend to
So I'm going to place this pin now aimed at my target here which is a target I have out at the ranch
From there I will position myself behind the pin
I will first place the club in line with the pin and then point it in the same direction as the sight pin here
I will stand up and strike the first blow to find out what happens if I really make sure my aim is true
It is completely accurate
The second proposal I would like to create a better foundation by doing two different things
All golfers know that we want to hit the ball with our driver and we can do a lot in our setup to make it work
Most golfers I meet naturally point the ball
They place it against the front leg and then position the club here knowing this should be enough
My experience is not the case here but we need to find some adjustments
In addition to our stance and our focus I increase the distance between my feet by keeping the front leg still and moving the back one
To help me hit the ball even more from here now I actually want to move the club from the ball to the middle between my feet
If I think I'm just going up when I hit the ball I want to reach my highest point before I hit the ball
The longest point is usually connected to the middle of the body
So what I'm doing now is aiming or rather having a clearer image of starting from my longest point
I know the ball won't move so I'm going up when I hit it
A proper stance the club between the feet the ball in front of the front foot
I set up my sight at a good spot and here we strike the second blow
For the third match we will take our formation again our line our wider formation
What I will want to do next is make sure I avoid one of the most common mistakes I see
When I often get encounters where people have driver issues they set up their driver and look like this
Even if the club is here in front or even if the club is here behind I will say
If she's here you'll see that my shoulders are very open
For me as a right-back they point to the left
This means that when I swing this club I will easily be able to swing the club to the left
By doing so they are heading towards the ball swinging from outside to inside and creating other problems
So I have to make sure in my training phase that I position myself properly
I have a wider stance I'm taking the club back the aim is good
I want to make sure my shoulders don't point far away from me but instead align with the line I'm aiming for
They can even be a bit closed off just to help me a little
So for me as a right-handed player I point a bit to the right to help me really swing more freely and have an easier time hitting the ball
The first step is to make sure they don't point too far to the left but we take them in a bit
We have a good start here together with the setup and club positioning
Everyone is already in place with the third strike
For the fourth move it is the final adjustment in our setup
What I want to do after I have taken my wider stance my aim and moved back the ball
I will also want to tighten the grip a bit
A stronger grip means I take my hands and rotate them away from the striking direction
The reference point I usually have is being able to tell when I've gripped this club now
Two knuckles on my upper hand and a lower hand that matches
So if my upper hand rotates a certain amount the lower hand will rotate the same amount
That's how I help myself really hit the club into the ball with some spin
Make sure the paper isn't left very open
So I take my setup my wide setup
I'm keeping an eye on the sight I'm dropping my shoulders
I rotate my hands and have a slightly stronger grip
Here we launch our fourth strike
For the fifth move we attack more with our backswing
From a good foundation that we have now created we would like to focus on how to swing the club back
This has become a quick favorite exercise for me
What we are going to do now is to place a ball in the extended line of sight where I intend to hit
So right behind the ball I'm going to hit
Approximately on the edge of the mat
Just so it's visible on the video right now
If I hadn't filmed here I would have probably added a good bit more in there at the back
But it absolutely should not be in the way it should just help us visually
This thought will help me now or this ball will help me in my thoughts now
To stretch the club back from me
I take this space on the way back and pull my whole body back
It's something we see so many pros do when they swing in their derby
We extend our arms stretch out our hands
Stretch the entire body to create a proper rotation
And be aggressive or be able to be aggressive towards the ball
The idea is simply that we position ourselves and focus
Creates the best conditions for success
We drill a few times from here Stretch
stretch
And then we hit
Proposition number six continues to maintain the width and focuses on a good wing
The thought I want you to have is that we apply exactly what we did with the ball
But higher up in our swing motion
Proposal six
I want you to stand up
Get ready
Checking everything from grip stance and so on
Checking that we have placed the club in the right place
Shoulders drop grip strengthens
From here I take the
ball Extend
Continuing to swing the club upward
Let your feeling be that this clubhead is being pulled up toward the sky
It is not necessarily as we will see from the front
Around me that is this way
For what we often see among many amateur golfers
It's that we are so focused on swinging the club far
To lose all structure in the arm and body
To get the club to go further
So it can easily happen in this movement
Why we should get the club to go further
The thing I want to see is that we maintain the
width we are creating in this backswing now All the way up
By focusing more on getting the clubhead up
And not necessarily continuing in the swing direction
We create a good strike
With the whole body ready to strike
I stretch out
Stretch up
Oh totally suddenly I've created a great condition
To use the whole body on the way forward
We have number six
I get up check all parts
New setup new grip
Shoulders drop knows the aim is good
Reaches over the ball
Reaches up into the sky And then
we go
For the seventh move we think we will move away from
the top of the back wing
Into our so-called transition
Transition to the descent
What I want you to do now is to have full focus
on the fact that we start the descent with our body
And not by throwing our arms and
hands toward the ball It means
that I want you to take your
formation for the seventh strike
Make sure the display is there
Grip club position and so on
We stretch backward
Lift upward and the feeling from here should be that the
entire body moves toward the
striking direction Without my hands
I'm tired
I don't want everything just to spin around
But you move entirely in the direction of the strike
Without your hands
It starts by going down
So a slight forward shift
Without the hands and arms moving and then
Send the power away The
thing we want to reach is
this chain reaction which is so important for us
And it's a huge important part of
getting a good start on the ball
And what we also avoid at the
same time is this wonderful classic
over the top or waving arms
Where we take this path
So simply put
Good formation Finds all points
Checks the tail Extends
Raises up
And then I feel like I'm moving towards the ball
From there we take
a shot with the same feeling
For the eighth strike
I take
out one of the two side shields to clarify this even more
I will place this on
the outside of my ball
It shouldn't even be near what I want to do
Men it should be there as a disruptive moment
One of the classic mistakes we see with
driven is that we start with our arms over the top
It comes from the side and in
and hits the ball
and knocks it down We obviously want to avoid that So instead now
I will put a bucket
here outside To clarify
that you should take this way Not this way
From there we take another
stance We swing up to the top
of the swing with our thoughts
We glide toward the ball
We slowly and gently lower it and see that
I am not near that bucket
And after this I can hit
slag number eight
We take the whole setup
Repeat the whole way through
Then we go
For the ninth shot we have now reached an
impact in this concept of striking the ball
I have worked through my
regular setup A good wing A good
movement Down to impact But now I want to
Truly ensure that I am actually
moving upward when I hit the ball
One of two ways to do it is
to buy a trackpad or something
similar But maybe not the most economical Instead we have
A cheaper version of the same thing
But I'll make it use the grip on your
club And in front of
the ball you hit
I place a grip then three balls in width
Roughly like a three-
pack of balls simply put
What I know now is that if I hit the ball on
the head on the way up
the ball is sure If I hit
The balls on the legs on the way down will cause a little ball explosion And
your ninth task suggestion
We need to be able to handle the backswing Of
course based on supporting
ourselves as we want to
They targeted us They closed in
Hit from behind in the head Lost the grip
Stretch out back Stretch out front Start
Straighten the
ball And now your goal is
to be going up on the ball
so that we avoid the balls on the hill
We have gone a bit further
Let's see how it goes
Proposal number ten adds another bucket that will help me now to
clarify what is happening
I'm behind the ball after I hit it
I have
a backswing on the outside of my swing path to make sure I don't come over the top
From there the mass hits the ball
What I am doing now is placing one on the inside
of me In front of me
To help clarify that I am not going to be heading towards myself
What is very common among many target drivers
is that I can hit the ball very powerfully
They have a very fast exit
towards me and thereby create
problems As you can see I am placing this bucket here
Inside my line of sight even
just to get clarity that May's club should go
that way Not
down this road I can play a little here depending on
how mean I want to be with
myself The closer to the bac
Thinking is coming to my swing path and the front one is coming to my swing path the harder it gets
Men especially in this case it is a visual aid Not that we are
going to meet the buckets
So the goal now for fight number
10 is for me to do this from here
Swing back follow my
principles swing forward avoid
the balls extend the
club and see what happens
Well and truly a simple image of a helpful
tool for what I want to do with the club
On the way back stretches
over the ball lifts up starts
with the body down with
the whole package releases
and makes sure we stay
out of the front bucket
and we'ready I stand
up stretch out lift up
It starts here goes
through and then we try
For rounds 11 and 12 I will
then want you to continue
repeating just this station as you have set it
up now
So from here I want you
to stand up hit two more
drivers we're focusing in make our adjustments
Are you ready during the
setup Move back the clubhead
Strengthen the grip end the
shoulders A little bit we stretch out
Stretches up starts with the body swings the club
as easily as possible and
now evaluates what happens
with the ball in play 11 and 12
From here
we now begin to get a picture of what is
happening with your driver's swing I think
You are now hitting
better it hits better
it flies better but it can be one of them
Two problems that arise
at this point which is very common
The most common thing is that we start swinging the club more
from myself than what we are used
to before and also leave it there
The blade is open So what we have done now is to hit the ball to the
right for me as a right-handed player but the
clubface is also pointing to the right
Right which makes the ball continue
to spin right is quite boring
It's a costly mistake for many to flee
of course It's just a push
fade or even a push slice
So the problem we see is that the club is getting through all the
way forward it's not
how we want but it's too late
Rotate again while keeping it open
and what I would like is for it to get there out
but has rotated through
So what you will now do is hit
two more balls The goal is from
At this point to rotate this club so much as it possibly can For
me I get this club now to
start pointing more to the left
which should mean for me considering the ball I
myself play with that I
would like to hit a small hoo
Men now they
understand my goal so we
take the same formation we are ready
Keep track of the previous points
stretch up start with the body
rough and now feel that
I really rotate this
clubhead more or less we can even exaggerate
Very much It's a feeling I want
to work towards So we go ahead here
Do you have the wrench for me Okay this screw is really tight Then it
calms us down a bit with
I think it's okay On the other hand
now it's clearer now it's better
I never wanted a bigger ball than this one
you know here what the last part is
for you to practice on
Is it that you don't really feel like
you need that part then we switch back
Until just delivering exactly as you did before
with a definite swing
focusing on hitting the sho
Do you still want it to stay a bit
to the right or rather from behind you
We make sure to help rotate
the club a bit
more from this new position and then we take shot number 14
stretches out lifts up
starts with the body through and rotates
if that's what I need
and proposal number 15 what I would like
you to do is we do the same thing aga
We use the entire station we have built the
same thoughts but now I really want you to
We are really increasing the pace
fully east in the
next drive to dare
Swing fully out still with control
but we need to have speed in this club
that's what it brings
I position myself widen the
stance place the club between
my feet strengthen the grip and
slightly lower the shoulders
extends lifts up
starts with the body lets the club go through
the hips stretches ou
It spins and then we hit the shot
number 15 here we have 15 shots that will help you hit
your driver farther and straighter
By helping to guide the club
so that it swings more straight
toward the ball which results in a better ball contact
with a higher power transfer
which both help us keep
the ball straighter and of course also go
Longer Again it is a process each stone
requires its work and
its conscious training
When you do this it is a very important part but the more
comfortable you become the more
you will notice an extremely
There is a difference Depending
on the level of the golfer
you are it may need to be adjusted a bit and of course
Depending on the problem I have it can be certain
parts that fit perfectly and others that don't
You can choose to remove it Here we have 15 tips
that help you hit your
driver farther and straighter
Always just as fun to do something new
to find a new way to work
I'd really like to hear what you think and feel
about this type of video Leave a comment here
Under and tell us if there's any club you'd like to see or any
style you'd like to see us do
something similar with in the future
Or the comment field in question even for that
Thank you very much for looking
good luck with your training and go for it
