Cranberries, cranberries, cranberries. It's that wonderful time of year where cranberries are in
season. So today I'm going to show you how to do a mini cranberry tart. So if you like cranberries,
you're going to like to watch this video. So first, you know, we have our cranberries and
what we're going to do is we're going to take one cup of cranberries, a half a cup of, I used
cran grape this time. You're going to do like basically a quarter cup of sugar. And if you
like it a little sweeter, you could add up to half a cup of sugar, but I used a quarter cup
of sugar for this one. And then you go ahead and put three teaspoons of cornstarch in there.
You mix it all together and you simmer it over a low boil there. So, and then this is what it
will look like. I'll be this nice consistency and the more cranberries you'd like, you can add more
if you want to. You just may have to have to add like a little bit more cornstarch. So anyways,
so we're going to do is we have our pie crust. You can make it yourself or you can buy it from
the store. You're going to roll it out and then roll it out again. That way it's a little thinner.
You want to take your cup and you just go ahead and cut the pie crust there. And then what we're
going to do after you have that all cut, we're going to go ahead and just put it into our
cupcake pan here and try to smooth in the edges there. All right. And once we have that in there,
just try to like push and get it all level where there's not too many bumps. We're going to go
ahead and take a fork and just basically go on the very bottom of this and just kind of push it down.
This will help it from bubbling up where you won't be able to get your product in there, your pie
filling or cranberries. So once we do that, we're going to go ahead and take that out of the oven
it is baked. You have a nice golden brown crust there. So you're going to go ahead and take that
and we're going to go ahead and take our cranberry compote and we're just going to go ahead
and just stir it up a little bit. And before we do that, I made a vanilla pudding. You can make
your own or you can get the box mix and make it that way. We're just going to put just a little
bit in there. This actually cuts down the tanginess or tartness of the cranberries.
So it works out well, gives a little bit of sweetness, but not too much.
Now once we go ahead and do that, we're going to go ahead and put our cranberries on top of that.
Just spoon it on there nicely and come start in the middle and slowly go out to the edges.
That way you can go ahead and not overflow the edges. Now I don't know about you, but I love
cranberries. So the more cranberries I can put in, the better for me because it has that nice
tangy sweetness to it. And what we're going to do is we're going to top it off with just a little
bit of crystal sugar here. And this will give it a nice pop and nice glitter and sparkle when you
put it on your table or wherever you like to put it to display it. All right. So once we've done
that, we're going to go ahead and show you what the finished product looks like. Okay. All right.
So here is our finished product. As you can see, it has a nice pop with that crystal sugar on there.
It's great. It's something that people can take and do like individual, like, I don't know,
it's probably a good two bite, three bite tart. And it'll be great because if you do a bunch of
desserts like this, you're bound to get like a little bit of this, a little bit of that,
and it'll be perfect for any occasion. So I want to thank you very much for watching
and let's make the world a better place.
