Hello everyone, we are Easy Taiwanese Mandarin.
I'm today's host, Emma.
When people come to Taiwan,
most of them choose the capital of Taiwan, Taipei.
Most of the Easy Taiwanese Mandarin videos
are filmed in Taipei.
Today's topic is
the Taipei that they want to talk about.
Let's go!
Are you from Taipei?
I'm from Taichung.
I'm not from Taipei.
Where are you from?
I live in Taoyuan.
I've lived in Taipei for more than 10 years.
Yes, I grew up here.
I've lived in Taipei for almost 30 years.
But I don't know if I count as a Taipeier.
I lived in Sanchong when I was young.
Then I moved to a new place.
Then I moved to Taipei after I got married.
No.
Where are you from?
I'm from Taichung.
I'm not from Taipei.
Where are you from?
I'm from Chiayi.
Have you lived in Taipei for a long time?
I've lived in Taipei from 1999 to now.
I've lived in Taipei for more than 10 years.
I'm a college student.
You came to Taipei as a college student?
Yes.
I left Taoyuan a long time ago.
So I didn't stay in Taoyuan
after I graduated from high school.
Do you have anything you're not used to
living in Taipei or coming back to Taipei?
I'm very adaptable.
So it's okay.
I don't know where my hometown is.
I miss living in Taipei when I go back.
When I'm in Taipei,
I feel like I have a hometown.
I think people in Taoyuan are more simple.
People in Taipei are more
prosperous and fancy.
I'm from Taichung.
But when I was in college,
college was the place
where you can develop your personality.
My pace is similar to Taipei.
But when I was in the military,
I went back to Taichung.
My first job was in Taichung.
When I went back to Taipei,
I found myself so anxious on the train.
Why am I so slow?
I feel like I'm nothing compared to others.
There are a lot of cars and people.
It's depressing.
In other countries,
Taipei is a great place to live.
You can use your wallet and phone
to find a place to stay.
It's impossible
anywhere in the world.
Compared to other cities,
Taipei has more houses.
It's more dense.
The pace is faster.
I don't bring an umbrella when I'm in Taichung.
But in Taipei, I always bring an umbrella.
Do you like Taipei?
I like Taipei.
Because it's convenient
for transportation and shopping.
I like it.
It's convenient.
The older I get,
the more I like Taipei.
It's convenient.
I like Taipei.
It's convenient.
It's rich and convenient.
It's exquisite.
I like Taipei's convenience
and safety.
It's safe.
You can do whatever you want.
I like it.
Why do you like Taipei?
There's a lot of delicious food in Taipei.
People are friendly.
My job is active and diversified.
I'm interested in information
and I can participate in many
art events.
I'm afraid of lack of information.
In Taipei,
it's different from other cities in Taiwan.
So I like Taipei.
Is there anything you don't like?
The city.
There's a lot to do.
There's a drawback.
There's a lot of people during the holidays.
For example, now.
It makes people feel busy.
Also,
it's expensive.
I think
young people
can't afford it.
It's okay.
I think most places
have drawbacks.
But I like them all.
The roads are messy.
What do you think of typical Taipei people?
Fast.
I think there's a typical
Tianrong people.
Some of them
grew up in Xinyi District.
They are
gentle.
They can't speak Taiwanese.
They dress well.
When you take the subway,
you must lean to the side
so that other people can pass.
People think
they are from the south.
I think
they are the same.
They are from Tianrong.
So they don't understand
the culture of other cities
or their habits.
They think they are
the most powerful.
I think they are more active.
They are more motivated.
They are more active
in activities,
work,
and behavior.
They are more active.
In Da'an District,
we don't interact with each other.
But in Wenshan District,
we are good neighbors.
We greet each other.
Do you want to stay in Taipei
after retirement or graduation?
I don't want to stay in Taipei after retirement.
I want to stay in Taichung.
Yes.
After retirement,
I want to enjoy my leisure time.
There are a lot of things to do here.
I want to go to the hospital.
If I have a disease,
I want to go to the hospital.
It's convenient.
After retirement,
I want to stay in Taipei.
I don't think so.
I want to move to Yilan.
It's cleaner and quieter.
I don't think so.
After retirement,
I want to find
a place where I can enjoy my leisure time.
After retirement,
I want to retire.
I want to go back to my hometown.
Taipei is a good place to live.
I can live here for a long time.
After retirement,
I want to go to the hospital.
I want to live in Taipei.
Is there anything to improve in Taipei?
As I said,
there are a lot of old houses.
But some houses are classic.
For example, San He Yuen.
I think it can be preserved.
It doesn't mean that everything must be changed.
But some buildings
or places that are not well-planned
can be re-planned.
It's quite noisy at night.
Car pollution is quite serious.
Many places need to be tidied up.
It should be better.
The crowd can't be changed.
The traffic can't be changed.
I think what needs to be changed
is whether our people
should live more leisurely
and slow down.
Which part of Taipei do you like
to recommend to foreigners?
Dongmen is a good place.
If I have foreign friends,
I will take them to Yongkang Street
or Dadaocheng.
I recommend them to climb Yangming Mountain.
Or Qixing Mountain.
I recommend them to climb the mountain.
Don't stay in the city.
I like Mingcheng Community and Dadaocheng.
When the old and new things are put together,
I like it better.
The zoo is suitable for children.
Many places are good.
The hot spring area in the north
attracts many foreigners.
I like Mingcheng Community the most.
It's very relaxing there.
It's not like Taiwan.
There are many little alleys in Taiwan.
You can turn around
and see a different place.
I am a performance artist.
We made a theme song in Songyan.
Foreigners are welcome to come to Songyan.
We made a song called Little Octopus Robot.
You can watch our performance there.
