Our Dream Family Home?! Time to Finally Settle Down ❤️

What's good Fairfax squad guys welcome back to the channel I am Charles and I'm Alyssa and guys today we want to talk to you about something that we're super super excited about. I know long time coming. Yeah guys today we're about to go show you guys houses that we're planning on purchasing. Houses? A house. So yeah we're planning on finally buying a house you know for the longest we've been renting these homes that we've been in and we move every year and we're done. Yeah. We're ready to build for the future in our future family so we're looking. That's exciting. I started smiling when Alyssa said our future family. No I got super excited about that. So a lot of things that we learned over the last six years we actually don't look so a lot of people look at renting as like a throwaway money. Well we kind of actually look at us kind of like it's been great for us because we were able to move every single year and learn something new about every single level of house. Yeah. So now that we're ready to buy we actually have a pre-approval letter like we're actually ready to buy fully so like we actually like know exactly what we're looking for what we don't want what looks like. The colors like everything from the floor to the bathrooms to the kitchen like we I feel like we've experienced it all like thankfully and now we know exactly what we want like and we agree. Yeah yeah 100%. So this house shopping experience should be much easier than if we like didn't have that experience I feel. Yes I will say fellas out there find you someone that you can agree with. Yeah. Because we literally agree on how we want this house to look. Well if you know what I always said that too because I feel like we agreed since like the day we met. Yeah. I feel like our first IKEA shopping experience like the fact that we were agreeing I was like oh my god this is a match made in heaven. Yeah for sure. But yeah we agree on like the aesthetic of the house how we want everything to look the backyard like we agree on everything so this should be like a really fun experience I know like house shopping any type of shopping when you're spending money like a large amount of money on something is kind of stressful but I feel like it's gonna be a fun experience for us we know exactly how many bedrooms how many bathrooms we need so we know exactly what we're looking for so now we're just gonna shop around. Yeah so we are planning for two babies. Two babies and yeah so we know exactly like how many rooms we need. Yeah we're planning for things like that we're thinking about okay so our max where we at right now is we'll have two kids. Yeah. But I also will tell you guys that it is way different shopping with a pre-approval than how we used to shop for houses we just normally looking for houses to rent now that we know our budget we know we want to spend and it's like okay it's way easier like it's honestly it's like much better. Yeah. Shopping with confidence at that level. Yeah. As far as the house we are thinking we're still in between kind of like three options. Building, buying a fixer upper, also buying like a new construction. Yeah buying one that's already done up. Yeah. Yeah so we're kind of like at that stage with kind of three different options we kind of are out of the the new construction in a way. Sometimes it's a hit or miss. It's a hit or miss. I like some new constructions but then there's things in there that I'm like well we would have to change this we would have to change this and you're already spending this much like you don't want to like put that much money into it after you already bought the house. I really wasn't for fixing up a house because I am NOT patient and I know that that takes a really long time but I've come around. Yeah. I am like for it now he I don't know I don't know what changed my mind but I'm for it because I feel like we have been looking at houses for a long time even like online on TV like we watch YouTube channels of like house tours and stuff and there's always something that we do not like. That we hate. I'm like damn like they just ruin the house. So I'm like okay if we can buy a fixer-upper and make it our dream. Exactly what we want. Exactly what we want like how big I want the laundry room, how big I want the kids rooms, the master, the backyard like I I want to have control if we're spending that much money and I want it to be exactly what we want and I don't want to get in there and be like damn should have got a fixer-upper because now I'm over the kitchen. Yeah and also so that goes into like okay if we want all if we know all that why don't we get a new build why don't we build something and the thing about building something is well we live in Arizona and the areas where we want to build there's not much land where we want to build honestly and so we so the thing is we would like to live in certain areas in Arizona and we would have to actually buy a house tear it down and build our house on top of it which it's fine but at the same time it's like dude that's doing the absolute most in my personal opinion is doing the absolute most yeah you know I'm saying and it's like you still gonna have way much longer and wait so many different permits you got to get in order to do all that if we had this house we would do so much different in it but it has really good bones yeah so but not enough land it doesn't yeah yeah so that that's the thing yeah so we're like you guys can see that we're kind of like this comes is that we have all the time yeah and location is the most important yeah to us cuz right now we're a little farther out than we usually are in Arizona and I hate it like 20 minutes is too long for me so I really want to be here is like LA now yeah so it's like 40 minutes yeah it's like it's yeah 20 it's not 20 minutes it's like closer to 30 40 but the location is the most important so we can find a really good location and then a fixer-upper with good bones I'm down for a fixer-upper now like I I look at the land I'm like yeah I can see it and then also last thing we're not gonna tell you guys too much now but we are looking in a different state also yeah there's one other state awesome family shit yeah I'm excited for this whole journey because literally like a it's completely different it's a different era in our life and it's like a serious yeah it's not no more joking no more like yeah playing around like yeah I feel like yeah renting was such a good experience but we're done with it now yeah for sure and I'm ready to settle down for a little longer than a year now I'm not saying this house is gonna be our end all be all like our 30-year house no no no it's not gonna be like that but it's definitely gonna be much longer than a year yeah so I would be like about five yeah so we really do gotta love it because we get sick of our query like really really quick mm-hmm so yeah I'm excited for today I love looking at home I just love looking at homes and getting inspired yeah and getting like creative yeah what were you talking too much let's go okay guys so we're starting the house hunting journey and this is the community that we're obsessed with it's an Arcadia it's super bougie super nice super homey clean it doesn't even feel like you're in Arizona nope cuz you got grass yeah every you have real grass not just turf but this house right here this is the house she absolutely love this is the house like I am into Spanish style houses now look at this house those are the type of windows I want you don't know if you guys can see back there but that's it this is my dream house okay like this is the house that I want the style house that I want yeah and now let me show you Charles we kind of agree but then we start getting to the houses and it's like we agree but we don't agree all the time you said you like this I know I like that's what I'm saying I like this because I like it for you yeah and I give me the camera I'm gonna let you show your house come on we could be neighbors we could be neighbors I got the Bentley yeah they got a Bentley you got the bit oh this is my house oh right here y'all this is the house this is sharp though this is the house a big modern house super modern this is your boy I mean baby baby you come through you say what's up you know maybe we can wade through each other through the windows you know I'm saying but we're gonna take you to but then guys sorry we're gonna take you to the house that we're thinking about buying no oh my god look at this view with the palm trees Craig Camelback Mountain it's crazy though community community is crazy everybody's super nice around here we we've been through this community probably like 20 times just like looking at houses and things like that and now we're like serious about it so like we understood that this got to be the community that we have family in and all that thing so if we stay here it's this one let's look at this house let's go hi guys so this is what we're looking at right now house number one and I like all of everything except that right there I do not like my thing being that big yeah I do not like that but it's fire just going push push all right so we are upstairs first but oh yeah I that's really nice oh baby has that light floor that you like yeah that's literally what we need five beds two kids office space a couple other spaces yeah okay now I do want to say I always figure with these showers I do not really like as much because it's always like that cut off and then the water gets on the ground yeah so you got to really be like careful with you right here yeah you got to be way over there just staring oh god this is huge yeah look at oh my oh you could make a room up here primary and I think this is the room because this is huge this is pretty good so has a double master okay so this is gonna be for our firstborn you got to get a second you got to get a second bar here she got to go to the other it's pretty solid listen this bathroom everything is so wide it's so it's giving me what we always wanted because she likes her he likes to take up the whole shower no she likes hot showers and I like cold showers yes so we have gotten like in the water we'd be like oh my god babe like can you please cut the water off to go she's hot but all of the storage oh god that's a must okay whoever gets this bedroom this is a big room too hey our firstborn you gonna love this room if we get this house okay so you bedroom six I think this is for the laundry and this is what two point two point five I love that they kept the all the bathrooms like similar yeah and honestly I love these floors because they're very like shiny clean well this is a spacious bedroom too Wow Wow and then we have like a little closet in here oh well there's a lot of rooms up here yeah it's nice yeah I love how spacious everything is yeah that's like a must now after having it yeah the arches yeah I just want to see the closet first which one would you rather see okay of course okay so closet walk this way I don't think this is the closet. I think this is just the laundry. I think this is actually just the laundry. Well that's cool. You got a whole laundry room in the master. Oh wow. That's nice. Oh it doesn't even come off. Oh this is cute. You gotta have it. See the thing is but I it doesn't have to it's like they went hard but then they didn't go hard no you need to pick though you have two options which is kind of cool oh my god we want natural lighting our house now like we love it but the natural light it's a little dark they don't have as many windows as we they do have windows but they're just pointed in directions where the sun is not hitting yeah you don't get that natural light now we get that natural light it's crazy you can't even tell there's lights on no it's fire oh thank you and then over here we have the closet okay yeah they definitely went harder upstairs for the master but I get it options you know you bought this house and you can also change a lot of things obviously you wouldn't want to change too many things because this is an example of what we were saying where this house is pretty much what you see is what you get so you wouldn't want to change too much stuff but things like this for example like the black we would change to like silver we might even change like paint this something we might not keep it white you can do little things but you can't do huge things because you're already paying 2.5 million dollars you don't want to put like 500k into this house it's brand new that's the thing and also like I need to get one of them toys I got I don't know why you like that I don't like that oh wait what's over here oh this must be the garage let's check it out that's a two car it's pretty spacious it is spacious it has good flooring I like this floor because our floor with our garages always gets because it's lighter you need to get like this dark so you don't see all the dirt that the tires bring in ok so this pool is a little bit bigger than our pool peeps oh I like this I love this for me though it's kind of plain it's clean but you could do something you could do something right here that we stayed at and they had the checkerboard that would be cute it needs something this kind of looks extremely plain but I do like this this is fire first off the greenery you can't go wrong I like these Alyssa loves the fact that you can with the grass and the stone she always says she wants something like that it's a blessing on blessing it's a blessing to even it's a blessing to even be able to look at houses oh god I used to be scared to walk in houses like this same we used to feel uncomfortable like we don't belong here and now we're just walking in houses like this could be ours chase your dream keep chasing your dreams because the more work you put in the more you're going to get from it you see what I'm doing there if this was going to be my house I would have to really this is fire this is good they didn't cheap out they went all the way through hey little buddy across there you know what's missing you know how our house now has the landscaping, the trees to block the brick, that's what's missing if you put trees all around here and you just make it look really green it would make it put a fire pit you could do a lot of stuff because it's so plain which is good, that means you can do what you want to it this is a good pool too it's pretty clean nobody been in that water I like this house show the kitchen one more time we didn't really show the kitchen that's nice it's a nice big fridge with a microwave connection and it's white it's white we want white we're sick of the black dark colors and the black cabinets we're kind of over it we want the bright light the dark aesthetic vibe like the new dark aesthetic or the you're already tired of it I think you have to have a mix and a lot of people are tired of the white we need the white so was this a teardown or did they like they tore something down alright guys so this was the outside of the house, look at this and so this is one of them neighborhoods where literally it's a good neighborhood but the whole neighborhood is beginning to get redone so I know you guys see that in certain communities probably even around you where it's like they're buying up all the well that's kind of like newer like this one right here, this is for sure going to be like they're going to buy this house and they're going to make it like this house I don't know if you recorded it in there but she said this one they like scraped the house and rebuilt it yeah so they pretty much did this they bought a house like this to make this house like this so as much as you don't want to see it, it kind of is good because everybody honestly eats you know the seller of that home he's going to make a lot of money because he knows what this house is going to be so he's going to sell his house for a little bit more than what he would normally get and then whoever buys this house is going to get what they want and then the flip is going to get what they want so it's honestly with this situation all three parties eat, I like when people do that and this is a really good area, we used to this is near our old house before we moved to LA with the white farm kitchen, my mom is obsessed she loves that house, that's how I explain that house but yeah it's really close to this house so it's we like this area a lot alright guys so we got a couple more places to go to so let's get to them four bedrooms, three and a half bath three car garage a little over 4,000 square foot 4,000 square foot? yeah good how are you? nice to meet you thank you so much we're going to take a look thank you it's very spacious oh this is a nice space yeah it's very spacious for sure let's head that way so this is what we were telling y'all about putting money into it so this comes up to this is 2.7 and the houses around here are like 4, 5, 10 like the brand new ones they're expensive but yeah we walked around this community like a month ago this is my favorite area in Arizona and everyone is so nice oh my god this is a big bedroom this is huge we could do a lot with this and they have a little seating area, I love that wait is there a closet over here too? there's a closet in here I definitely need some love but it's huge boom big bathroom this is one where everything will just have to be gutted yeah everything will have to be gutted you're paying for the location yeah this is one closet literally reminds me of my grandparents shower yeah reminds me of a jail shower it is kinda scary you know it's old when you see these yeah so you would have to gut this whole thing but you gotta be able to see the vision people don't see the vision they just wanna finish products but you gotta be able to see the vision the finished products ain't the finished product they're not, you still gotta do something yeah see it's kinda angled weird so what you could do here I am getting my architect hat on what you could do is you really can cut into this because you really would need this bookshelf this is giving me I mean it's giving me old but this is giving me, this community is giving me the backyard is giving huge the backyard, oh man we'll go out there in a sec we'll go out there let's go look at the other rooms and see the size the thing about older houses is they have bigger rooms yeah which is good there's a lot of open space, look at this oh okay so this is the kitchen this could be the chef's kitchen you know how I always wanted that so yeah this was built in 2008 and everything's original from then so it was rebuilt so yeah the roof 2008 AC's everything, it's basically original original love that I actually cost us probably one of our greatest investments other than Bitcoin, so during COVID there was this house for 2. it might have been 1.9 I think it was 1 something, it was 1.9 and she really wanted it and I was like I don't know around this time and I'm talking about the house is humongous and it has a guest house and it had a guest house and a huge pool a built in trampoline in the ground a bonfire pit it had everything everything for 1.9 and I was like nah babe let's just wait, I looked at the house the other day 4 million dollars but um okay so you see what I mean, these rooms are pretty big you do a lot and I think this room, they're like a jack and jill it's a jack and jill next to another bedroom this one y'all, if this was I do love this I love round corners so that's all I was going to say with this one, we have been talking since we live in a modern place now we have been thinking about going Spanish style so we have been thinking about more Spanish family vibe house homie vibes so um yeah let's go outside with a house like this know right now that you'll probably be getting about 50 videos of construction yeah cause we'll probably have to do probably want to do like those you know build with us yeah like show the yeah so like show every single room getting it all done, getting it gutted so this is something we would do a little series with a house like this alright so outside y'all this is good, I like this I like the outside so what we have here is a big ass backyard huge, look at this like imagine what you can do with this yeah so around here what I would do I'm trying to have it right there, put those up right and have it glass cause I really like the glass around the pool I don't know I just like oh you want to make it like an infinity pool? yeah I would have to have the pool raised that's really what I want and then um take these trees out no you don't want the lemon trees? no lemon trees you can do so much back here so much back here, I agree literally y'all this is probably one of the biggest backyards I've seen in a long time and you got good views of the mountains over here well you can't see it right here but when you're inside you can get a good view of the mountains they're way up there but they got all those trees, personally cut all that shit down and put like palm trees up there cause if you cut that down you'll be able to see the mountain better and it kinda looks like a mess yeah it kinda looks like a oh my god it's getting close alright y'all so what's happening is like so you'll get houses like this but then like the next street over it's like all new builds so what they're doing is like I think people are buying these houses and then turn them into this build their dream house they tore it down and now they're making like a super modern house that's kind of what we want to do too and then this is the side of the house right there I really rock with it it's humongous we would have to put a lot of work he said about 400-500k into it and I said the same thing already going into it but this is a house that's getting built right here it's about to come up well this kinda looks like where we live in now looks like this we're gonna have a guest house in the back right now we're in Arcadia area if you guys are familiar with Arizona if you're not Arcadia is a really nice pristine area to be in I guess alright guys so that ends today's video yes hope you enjoyed and
