she ran down the hallway did a poop ate
a little tiny bit later she's vomiting
it back up and I'm like e it's
stinky dog lovers around the world will
never fail to come together to celebrate
appreciate and stand up for their
four-legged friends their love for them
is unconditional as is the love they
receive back dog people just understand
each other and form a huge community of
like-minded individuals who would get
along despite meeting for the first time
through their companion crossing paths
dog people love dog
people
unless wait I've got a better
example let's talk 2 hours one of the
more controversial dog breeds are they
just Savage angry little demons or is
there more to them than mey ey where did
these little things come from to hour
I've been around since roughly the mid
19th century originating in Mexico
within the state of you guessed it chuaa
it is believed that these guys are
actually descendants of another
companion breed called the techie Chi
which were kept by the ancient toltech
civilization these bulldogs were
believed to have spiritual significance
and were often buried alongside their
owners to accompany them in the
afterlife Tey cheese are extinct now due
to uh
[Music]
a moment of silence for all the little
fellas lost in a nutshell Spanish
Traders brought these techie cheese over
before they ate them and then they bred
them with other smaller wild dogos and
then over many years they got smaller
and then that's it we're left with
today's Chihuahua Chihuahua speaking of
pet Chihuahuas do you remember the
friend I spoke about in the Eros tour
video who's from the UK she's got a
little one too around the same age named
toffee applehead and she's on YouTube if
you want to follow a cute little British
chihowa who makes mukbang videos yes I'm
not kidding the link is in the
description tell tofe Jess says hi what
is a chihuaha easily the most noticeable
thing about these dogs is their size
they tiny so much so in fact that the
average weight for the breed is only
around 1.8 to 2.7 kg making them the
smallest dogs in the entire world sounds
like a frail little life right well
you'd be shocked to find out that chah
are among the dogs that live the longest
lifespans on average which can be
anywhere between 12 and 20 years 20
years for a generic point of reference a
golden retriever only lives for 10 to 12
years tops so these little guys could
potentially have a whole 8 years on them
if all goes well in their lives some
more iconic features we can't ignore are
these big ears which are used to express
their feelings their tiny heads and
their two types of fur coats to Hours
come in a range of different colors
including forn black chocolate white
cream brindle Merl blue Sable and red
and lavender with this they could have
different markings and patches making
their individual coats very unique they
could also have different head types
Apple heads having a shorter snout and a
rounder appearance overall and deer
heads having a longer St as you see here
they could also apparently be a pearhead
a lesser known variant that I honestly
have a hard time differentiating between
the deer heads the popularity of the
Chihuahua the small size of these dogs
is definitely a big selling point that
has made them such a popular breed for
such a long time they're perfect for
those living in smaller apartments and
for those constantly traveling a whole
bunch of celebrities are known for their
beloved Chihuahua companions with which
would add to the general public appeal
for sure the most notable example that
comes to mind is Paris Hilton and her
little Tinkerbell from the early 2000s a
lot of movies and TV shows feature them
too you also tend to see a lot of
chowers in obedience and Agility related
media because they are highly
intelligent animals and thrive on
positive reinforcement and because I'm
Australian I didn't know this but in
America there was a Chihuahua called gig
who was the face of Taco Bell you get
Taco
Bell let's talk to our stereotypes for
me all I can remember of chihuaha
portrayed in media goes exactly like
this come on
[Music]
Chi-Chi wof ah sorry she's a lovely dog
normally F but to be honest they are
really loving creatures the ones I've
been in contact with have big
personalities loads of confidence
loyalty humor affection and a little bit
of sass at times but more than anything
they thrive on companionship all they
truly want deep down is a person that's
there for them and if you give them that
then they'll be there for you too of
course there's always going to be a bad
apple or two in every breed but more
often than not that's down to a lack of
training or another Factor outside of
the dog's natural temperament a bit of a
side note it's kind of frustrating that
seeing a small dog get feisty isn't
taken seriously by a lot of people at
least in comparison to larger dogs I'm
going to use pudgy work and Maddie the
Chihuahua as an example I'm going to be
real their success on social media has
been built off the back of them being
pushed to their limits the aggressive
behaviors on show reflect the 's lack of
dog training and respect for boundaries
I guess whoevers cause less damage when
aggressive due to their minimal size but
unfortunately because of this people
find it entertaining but imagine if it
was a bigger breed doing that the Comets
would be flooded with hate and the dog
would more than likely be put down 2
hours aren't supposed to be aggressive
they require training which they love by
the way an appropriate socialization
which prevents them from developing this
way credit where credits do though the
dogs have courage they've got no idea of
their puny size the two hour cons there
are that many downsides to the breed and
bear in mind this is a general overview
so won't apply to all Chows some can be
very vocal not fun chew toys might be a
necessity considering they are prone to
dental issues also their teeth might
need to be regularly brushed for the
same reason they can become obese quite
easily if their meals aren't monitored a
lot of owners just like chah forget
their size they're tiny and don't need a
5 course meal to get enough calories
into their diet now I'm not sure if I
agree with this one but they aren't
perfect for children yes children are
crazy and chihuaha are small and
therefore fragile but if a family sets
rules and educates their kids they
really shouldn't be any issues and if
you don't trust your kids around such a
small dog maybe look into getting a
different breed just to be safe or
better yet get rid of the kids I have a
chour I normally share happy news with
with you on this channel or my other
socials but for this one I've been
waiting for the perfect occasion and
this video feels like exactly that so I
would like to introduce you to my very
old little chii named
Lola isn't she just the cutest anyone
that knows me is aware that one of my
life goals since childhood has always
been to get a little chihara of my own
so let me tell you some things about her
Lola was born on the 4th of May
2023 yes she's a Star Wars baby she went
to a meca's drive-thru the first night I
got her how many dogs can brag about
that her favorite toy is this this is
her rat friend and they are inseparable
since the first night with me it's
actually a cat toy like most of her toys
I actually bought rat friend shortly
before getting her because it's just so
ugly and uh yeah they ended up being
BFFs so she sleeps with him every night
she loves affection playing B doing
Zoomies and laying in my bed a bit
before bedtime when she was smaller she
loved sitting up on your shoulders near
your neck it was so cute she knows some
commands like Sit Stay Up lie down pour
and spin spin is definitely her favorite
I've socialized her with a bunch of
different breeds and I couldn't be
happier with how it's going she has been
great with dashounds and with every
oodle underneath the sun spaniels
even Retrievers and German Shepherds
just to name some of her friends Little
Miss popular over here I can't express
how tiny Lola really is at the time of
writing this script she was only 1.1 kg
and has been growing at a very slow pace
she's not much bigger at all so I'd say
she won't be a big chihuaha as an adult
for the most part she is extremely well
behaved she's finally got toilet
training down to a tea most of the time
she has been so independent from such a
young age which I love like I could go
and get groceries and not even worry
about her howling the place down ah this
is gross but she liked eating her own
poop my vet told me it's a puppy thing
so there's no real issues there luckily
she has grown out of that for the most
part she hasn't done it for so long but
I kid you not yesterday she ran down the
hallway did a poop ate a little tiny bit
and then like maybe 15 minutes later
she's vomiting it back up and I'm like
ew it's stinky I have this one cursed
photo of her trying to take a dump
underneath my Halloween themed Christmas
tree yeah anyway here are some
additional facts about the breed in
general they love to borrow blankets
clothing you name it they are suckers
for heat and love that extra feeling of
security since they have a longer life
span than most they're actually more
active compared to other bigger breeds
however because they're so small this
energy is usually let out in shorter
burst a lot of them actually love
wearing clothing when it's colder
weather this is due to their minimal
more body fat and they small size of
course a cheat called Heaven Senter
Brandy has the world record for smallest
length being 6 in roughly 15 cm long a
che called Spike got the world record in
December of 2022 for being the oldest
dog in the world currently living spike
is 23 years
old I started this video off being
pretty unbiased but it's obvious I love
2 hours Lola has ticked off the
childhood dream of owning a dog and she
is definitely one of my live highlights
she is the happiest little dog ever and
never fails to put a smile on my face if
you could take two things away from this
video I hope they can be number one
train and socialize your Chihuahua
number two respect their boundaries
Chihuahuas might be a toy breed but they
are definitely not toys if there are any
other dog breeds you'd like me to make a
video on or any other pet type in
general please let me know in the
