Welcome back to another edition of the Wellness Talk Podcast. I am George
Battista, your host and your wellness advocate. Wellness Talk is a show that
goes over the latest in health, healing, nutrition, and fitness. Hope you guys are
doing great and hopefully you guys out there who celebrate the Thanksgiving
holiday had a great one. I know I did. I ate a ton of food. You know for me when
you put a ton of food, like really really good food, together with friends and
family at the same table, it's nothing better for me. It's my favorite holiday
because I love eating really really good food and it's probably the only time
where I actually gain a good amount of weight. But you know what? It's all good.
But I hope you guys, like I said, enjoyed it and were able to give thanks for
everything in your life. Alright guys, so let's get started on what we're going to
discuss today. And two of the three articles that I have are going to be
discussing the subject that is pre-birth basically or nutrition pre-birth. So the
first one is from the University of Colorado and this is less than 50% of
prenatal supplements had the adequate amount of choline and iodine. So they did
a study on a whole bunch of supplements. Some of them were by
prescription. Some of them were not. And they wanted to see if not only if the
labels were correct, if they had adequate amounts of choline and iodine,
but they also were able to determine what kind of heavy metals if there were
in these supplements and the amounts. And were these heavy metals in there where
they had big amounts of maybe harmful amounts or not. And this is where we talk
about quality of supplements, right? So we're gonna go over that and I'm going
to put my two cents on this. But I think it was a very interesting study. And the
second one is from Tracy Beans and Michelle Edwards. And this is new study
limiting consumption of sugar in utero in childhood prevents chronic diseases
later in life. Now this is one of those no-brainers, but they did a study
comparing children who had access to a good amount of added sugars versus
children who had access to limited sugar. And they did this whole study. This study
goes back well over 50 years. So we're gonna talk about exactly what they did
and how they put, you know, how they compared the groups. And it's really,
really telling information when you look at it as far as the amounts of sugar and
what it leads to later in life. So we'll discuss that as well. Then we've got a
piece from Wellness Resources. And we're gonna talk about lymph flow, the lymphatic
system and immunity. And particularly we're gonna be talking about how a
carbohydrate, that's right, a carbohydrate called a arobinogalactin
can help boost lymph flow and immunity. Something you should be taking regularly,
especially around the wintertime. Because anything that can help your immune
system during the winter is a good thing. We're gonna talk about this carbohydrate
arobinogalactin, why it is a great, great thing for your immune system, a great
thing for your lymphatic system, how it works. And we're gonna talk about where
to get it, obviously, and why you should be taking it regularly. Especially if you
find yourself with a sluggish immune system, if you're dealing with allergies,
if you're dealing with any kind of nasal congestion or anything like that,
arobinogalactin is one of the best things you can take. So obviously we'll
talk about where to get it and what's the best form, all that type of stuff, all
the good stuff that we normally go over, we will chat about that. Then finally I'm
gonna do a little bit of a commentary on the media. And particularly you may have
heard that legacy media or corporate media is dying. And it really is. But I'm
gonna talk about the death of corporate media and what does that have to do with
health. Right? Big question here. How does it affect you getting your health
information? Do you still get your health information from corporate media and
legacy media? Right? So we're gonna tap into that. And I'm gonna give you my two
cents on it. And you know, and about the whole landscape and why everything is
shifting. So that's what we're going to talk about today. jam-packed information
As always, go to georgebautista.com. Check out all the articles that are
there. Obviously, everything is cited, you can read it for yourself, you can

mail.georgebattista.com. All right guys.
So let's get started with our topics this week.
And the first one is going to be a study on
prenatal vitamins.
This is less than 50% of many prenatal supplements have the
adequate amounts of choline and iodine.
All right. So we'll dive right into it. So this is out of, by the way,
the university of Colorado,
and this is new research reveals that many prenatal vitamins don't contain
enough of the nutrients that are essential for a healthy pregnancy,
while others contain harmful levels of toxic metals.
The study published in the American journal of clinical nutrition,
check the amounts of choline and iodine in non-prescription
and prescription prenatal vitamins.
The research also checked for toxic metals like arsenic, lead,
and cadmium. So this is what they did.
The researchers tested a sample of 47 different prenatal
vitamins, 32 non-prescription and 15 prescription.
And they were bought online and in local stores or, you know,
community shops and stuff like that.
Then they measure the amounts of choline and iodine in their lab versus what was
on the label. And they also checked for arsenic, lead, and cadmium.
They compared their findings with official safety standards within 20% of the
claim amount. And this is what they found for iodine,
the recommended daily reference intakes for females. First of all,
is age 19 or older for agent ages.
19 or older is 150 micrograms per day,
increasing to 220 micrograms per day during pregnancy and
290 micrograms per day during lactation. Okay.
Let's start this again. So, you know, before we get into the findings,
we want to talk a little bit about what are the recommended daily allowances,
right? So for iodine, for example,
the recommended day dietary reference intake for females age
19 and older is 150 micrograms per day,
increasing to 220 micrograms per day during pregnancy and
290 during lactation.
The tolerable upper limit for iodine is 1,100 micrograms per day.
So this is what they found.
The researchers found that most prenatal vitamins do not list choline.
And many of them that do don't contain the correct amount.
Only 12 listed the choline content, which is about 26%.
And only five products,
42% had the right amount of choline as promised on the label.
Now when checking for iodine,
they found that most prenatal vitamins contain less than advertised and very few
provided the correct amount with 53% of products,
listing iodine content, but only four,
which is 16% of the products contained the claimed amounts of
iodine on the label.
They also found some of the products contained levels of heavy metals that were
higher than expected.
Specifically seven products had too much arsenic,
two had too much lead and 13 had too much cadmium
all above the purity limits set by the United States.
So what does this mean?
What is the one thing that I've been talking about since the beginning of this
show, especially for those of you who listen to this show on a regular basis,
one of the one thing I talk about in terms of supplements, right? Quality,
the quality of the supplement and the form of the supplement make a huge
difference. Again,
the quality of the supplement and the form of the supplement make a huge
difference to me. That's everything. That is everything.
And this is the problem because most people are the average, you know,
the average folks out there don't know that. Okay.
And this is why we have shows like mine who educate or try to educate people on
this subject. Why?
Because if you don't know what you're buying and you don't you know,
you go out there,
you just buy it from the big box store or you get it from your,
your doctor who basically is just going to give you a prescription for these,
these supplements that he thinks are okay.
Or maybe you go online and you just see the first thing or whatever the case
may be. You have no idea if that's going to, you know,
what kind of effect that's going to have on you.
And I would dare to say that the prenatal vitamins are even more important
because remember you're sharing nutrition for two, right?
The mom is sharing nutrition, nutrition for two. It's not only her,
but it's her baby quality and form matter.
They matter.
This is why you have to make sure that you're getting them from a good quality
supplement company.
And this is why I'm here to tell you what are the good quality supplement
companies that are out there. I don't do this because I make money on it.
I don't do this because I feel I would, regardless of that,
it has nothing to do with that. It has to do with,
I'm trying to tell you that these are the,
these are the best supplements out there to take. That's what it is.
Now this study, which is a good study,
but it's showing you that a good majority of supplements out there are not high
quality.
The fact that they went out there and got these supplements and tested them,
first of all,
puts a black mark on the supplement industry because it basically says that,
well, you know, they're basically what they're saying here saying, Hey, look,
we need more regulation because look at these supplement companies.
They have heavy metals. They don't have what's advertised.
They don't have what's on the label. This needs to be regulated, regulated,
you know, heavily regulated. And this is the problem. This is the problem.
Because when you do,
when studies are done like this and they take any cheap vitamins they can find,
while it gives supplement companies or give supplements in general,
the supplement industry, a bad name.
So what I say here is that do your research.
In my opinion,
do not get your supplements from a doctor because most doctors don't know what
they are talking about in terms of good high quality supplements.
They just don't. Okay. Not to say that all of them don't, but a lot of them don't.
So I would recommend doing your research or at anything.
If you listen to this show, then get, then,
then at least you know that these supplements have been researched,
that I've been using these supplements,
that clients have been using supplements as people all around the world are
using supplements and they're high quality and they do exactly what they're
supposed that what they're intended to do. And their, uh,
their label has exactly what supposed to be in there.
So it makes a big difference.
Quality and form make a difference in supplementation.
That is key.
So it's not surprising when you see a study like this,
when they go out and look at all these cheap supplements and they,
they find all this stuff out there. You know,
I recommend the wellness resources brand of supplements.
I've been using them for 18 years and compare their quality to many of the
other cheap supplement companies out there. It's not going to be a comparison.
It's just not. Okay. Look at wellness resources, you know,
prenatal vitamin, fantastic,
prenatal vitamin with a great amount of choline with a great amount of iodine
plus all the other nutrients that mom and baby need,
especially for a healthy growing baby. So,
you know, when you see something like this,
this is all the more reason to make sure that you are getting high quality
supplements. So again, good thing to take a look at,
but at the end of the day,
you really need to do your homework because, um, people just don't know.
People just don't know where they get. They think a vitamin is a vitamin,
a supplement is a supplement. Everybody can get it from wherever.
And it doesn't matter.
It makes a difference.
And I'm going to hammer this home as much as I am doing this show because it
does make a difference. And plus you don't want to be getting heavy metals,
high heavy metals in your supplements. Anyway, why would you want that?
Why would you pay money to stick your, you know, to, to, to, you know,
swallow down a bunch of heavy metals and stuff that's not on,
not even on the label. So just my two cents on it,
something to take a look at. But, um, you know, uh,
really this is something you have to keep in the back of your mind.
If you are thinking of becoming pregnant and you want to get our prenatal
vitamins, make sure you get on the good ones. Okay. And again,
my vitamin resource.com if you want to take a look at wellness resources,
prenatal supplements. Okay. Now I'll get back.
I'll get off my soapbox and we'll continue.
Next brand new information. Good study here.
This is from Tracy beans and Michelle Edwards.
And this is limiting sugar consumption in
utero and in childhood prevents chronic diseases later in
life.
And this is actually a study from McGill university in Montreal and the
university of California Berkeley. So let's go through it.
So obviously again, talking about prenatal,
talking about prenatal nutrition,
we know that the mom's nutrition is vital to the
baby, not only prenatal, but also after the baby's born, right?
Because if the mom has as good nutrition as possible prior to when the
baby's born,
there's less of a chance of the baby having to be born with any kind of issues.
Okay. But also the first two years of life or the first thousand days,
uh, from conception is also key in terms of nutrition for the
baby. Okay. Now, why is that? Okay. Because what they say here,
the child and adult health risks, including diabetes, hypertension, hypertension,
and obesity are programmed by nutritional
quality during this critical period. Okay.
So keep that in the back of your mind. Now let's go through this study.
So this is what they did.
The study titled exposure to sugar rationing in the first thousand days of life
protected against chronic disease.
This was released on October 31, 2024.
And what they did was he used the natural experiment of post
world war two sugar rationing in the United Kingdom to obtain
its data. So this is, this is what they did. So during the,
during the rationing phase, post world war two, right?
They rationed sugar. Okay. So sugar was rationed.
And that lasted for about a decade. Um,
and it ended actually in September of 1953. Okay.
The reason why the sugar was rationed was because it was very,
very difficult to get sugar at that time. Okay. There was a lot of issues.
There were supply chain issues. There was a supply chain interruptions.
There was economic challenges. There was disrupted, uh, global trade,
all different types of things, post world war two.
So therefore they had a ration sugar. Okay. So that, that's what they did.
So when they, so what they did was they looked at that and they compared that,
they compared the pre rationing phase to the post rationing
phase. Okay. And by the way, shortages did persist after the war ended,
but it wasn't rationed the way, you know, the way it was prior to that.
Now, this is what they found.
The study found that early life rationing of sugar reduced diabetes and
hypertension risk by about 35% and 20%
respectively noting that current dietary guidelines recommended zero added
sugars during the first thousand days since
conception. Okay. So basically what did they see?
They compared the babies that were born during the rationing phase.
And then they went through the first couple of years of life,
right? The first thousand days of life compared to post rationing, right?
And then they compared those babies and children in the first thousand days of
life. And what did they find?
They found the reduction of risk in hypertension and diabetes by 35% which is
huge, which is huge. Okay. And the question is, you know,
after that,
when sugar became really prevalent and sugar was pretty much everywhere,
then the,
the thinking was why would you give a child of that age when they're born in the
first couple of years of age added sugar? It just makes no sense. Okay. Now,
what they say here, when the rationing ended in 1953, the UK,
because remember they got this from the UK,
saw an immediate nearly twofold increase in the consumption of sugar and sweets,
but not other foods. And by the way, during the rationing period,
they still had access to regular food. They just had a ration of sugar.
So they had very small amounts of sugar, but they had plenty of other food.
That makes a difference.
So the researchers also use data going back 50 years prior in the UK biobank to
identify those born during a timeframe of the rationing,
allowing them to compare the midlife health outcomes of otherwise similar birth
cohorts. So again,
they compared the two pre rationing and post rationing and found a huge,
big, huge difference, huge difference. So what does this say?
This basically says that the first couple of again,
prenatal and then the first couple of years of life are critical,
critical in terms of baby's nutrition,
in terms of making sure that they don't spend a lifetime being addicted to
sugar. Okay. Now, another thing they stay here, and I'm going to point out,
the study pointed out that sugar exposure beyond gestation,
especially postnatally was linked to a more robust taste for sweetness
perpetuating high sugar intake across the lifespan. In other words,
it is an addictive response to sugar.
This response is more prominent in women, which is interesting,
potentially increasing lifelong sugar cravings and elevating the risk of
obesity and metabolic disease. How about that? Very interesting stuff,
right? So basically it's saying that if you don't expose your child in those
beginning formative years to a ton of sugar,
the research is showing that they had better outcomes as they went through life,
less disease, less diabetes, less obesity, all these types of things.
Now you would think it would make common sense,
but yet we don't see that happening, especially in the United States, right?
In the United States, it's ridiculous what's happening now.
We're exposing kids to sugar in the first couple of years of life and they're
getting addicted to it early.
And now we're seeing type two diabetes in seven year olds,
which 50 years ago was unheard of, was unheard of.
But we're seeing it now all over the place.
So this is something again that we have to take a look at. So basically what is,
what does this mean? So when you look at these first two pieces,
number one, prenatal nutrition, extremely important, right?
Mom has to eat good. Mom has to take good, high quality,
nutritional supplements to make sure a baby is getting every single thing the
baby needs. Okay. Huge. Okay. Because then when the baby's born,
the baby has all the nutrition.
The baby comes into this world with the nutrition that he or she meets.
Second thing,
less exposure to sugar as the baby's born.
And then in the first couple of years of life decreases the amount of,
or lessens the risk of disease such as type two diabetes,
obesity, and all these types of things. Simple stuff, simple stuff.
You want to give your child everything,
every possible chance to have a good disease free life,
at least within the first, you know, five, 10, 15 years of life, you know,
because obviously once they become a teenager,
they're going to take over and they're going to,
they're going to think they know everything and then they're going to eat
whatever they want and whether they listen to you or not is going to be
determined by the habits that you set in.
So it's those habits that you set in when they're living with you are the ones
that they are going to hopefully take with them. Why?
Because we see that social media and that other kids and other
friends have just as much influence on the child,
if not more than their own parents. This is, remember when I was a kid,
there was no social media, there were no cell phones,
or at least they weren't cell phones that everybody walked around with.
So there was no influence that way. All your influences was in school.
Once you left school, that was it. Okay. I couldn't even go to parties.
Now kids go to parties every other day with kids in school.
I didn't have that when I was a kid. So there wasn't that heavy influence.
Now kids are learning things on Tik TOK and Instagram and all these types of
things that their parents don't even teach them.
So they have more influence there and they could be influenced by food company.
They could be influenced by all kinds of junk out there.
So as parents, we have to fight that battle constantly,
constantly fight them.
And we have to do everything we can to put the odds in our favor,
to be an influence on our child.
So at least if we're doing it nutritionally and everything we can
control before, prior to when they're born. And then when they are born,
at least we're putting the odds in their favor and in our favor that they're
going to do well and be healthier as they get older. That's the goal, right?
That's all we can do as parents. We can do the best we can.
And then pray that things stick when they become, you know,
15, 16, 17 years old as a parent of a 17 soon to be 18 year old.
That's exactly what I'm dealing with now. Okay. And, um,
but what I am seeing on my end is some habits that have been
sticking some really, really good stuff that I'm very, very happy about.
Not only work ethic wise,
but nutritionally and just just her overall outlook on life.
You know, I'm seeing that because we forged that when she lived with us.
Now she's an adult, but when she lived with us,
we forged that and we were adamant about that. That was huge.
And now we're seeing the fruits of our labor.
So hopefully that continues to move forward. And, um,
hopefully this is just motivation for you guys. But again,
the nutrition at the end of the day is a huge, big deal. And, um,
we need to make sure that we are, uh, you know,
doing everything we can to help the baby out. All right,
next we continue.
We're going to get into the immune system now,
and we're going to talk about a, uh,
we're going to talk about a Robin Ogalactin and this is a piece from wellness
resources. This is a Robin Ogalactin boosts,
live flow and immunity. Great piece here.
We're getting into the winter months.
We need to do everything we can to boost the immunity.
This is just another thing we can use to boost that immunity and get to
get our lymph system flowing. All right,
so let's dive right into it and let's talk about the lymphatic system
and, um, kind of get just to set the stage for this whole piece here.
So what is the lymphatic system? Why was the lymph system?
You either have the lymphatic or the lymph system.
We've heard all different types of kind of, you know, phrases of how they,
you know, name it.
Basically it's part of your circulatory system and your immune
system as well. Okay.
It's primary roles are to collect not only excess
fluid from your body's tissues,
but helps to also return it to your blood, uh, bloodstream.
It helps to protect your body against germs. It helps to, uh,
helps your body to absorb fats as well.
Helps your body to take out the trash and to take out toxic fats and
toxic things.
It's basically kind of a drainage system in your body as well.
Significant part of your immune system. Okay,
now let's get into the ins and outs. Um, every day,
about 17 liters of blood flow through your circulatory system.
As blood and plasma travel through your vessels into tiny capillaries,
a small amount of fluid seeps in becoming what's called
lymph fluid. This travel,
this fluid travels between cells and tissues delivering oxygen,
protein, and nutrients to all of your tissues. Okay.
Furthermore, it also helps to take out metabolic waste like debris,
immune trash, rogue cells.
All these types of things are funneled through these lymphatic capillaries
and transported into larger vessels.
Then the fluids travel through the 600 lymph nodes,
uh, for recycling and removal filtration,
and is ultimately returned into the circulatory system.
Now about three liters of lymph fluid is processed daily.
Okay. So that's your lymphatic or lymph system.
Now the lymph system is also a vital part of your immune system. Why?
Because it produces these key immune cells,
particularly the T cells,
the B cells and the natural killer or the NK cells.
Very, very important. Okay. Also,
the lymph system is also responsible for the absorption of fats,
such as dietary products,
particularly dietary dairy products. Okay.
The fat that you consume from dairy again is absorbed. And many, you know,
there are some compounds that are too large to absorb in the gut and therefore
transported via the gum,
the gut lymph system to the liver for process.
So now let's talk about how the lymph system, uh,
reacts with your gut and how it, you know, how,
why it's important for the gut and the maintaining of the gut barrier. Okay.
So there is another piece of the gut lining and it's called the gut
associated lymphoid tissue or GALT,
G-A-L-T. Okay.
And this runs along the length of the intestines.
Now GALT contains numerous lymph nodes and specialized cells
as well as the appendix. Now the GALT helps, uh,
your immune system and your lymph and your intestinal microbiome and helps to
manage germs from things that you ingest.
It also helps to produce numerous immune compounds and filter out
substances.
And this is where we find a good majority of the immune system, right?
Right here in this system. Matter of fact,
the GALT accounts for 70% of your immune system by weight.
And it plays a crucial role in maintaining the gut mucosal barrier and
immune tolerance. Now remember in one of the previous podcasts,
like two podcasts ago, I talked about the gut lining,
and I talked about the gut mucosal barrier and those tight junctions
and why it is so important to make sure that those tight junctions are tight and
they stay tight. Because once they break down, what happens? You get immune,
you get these particles, undigested proteins, you get toxins,
you get all different types of things that can leak through into your system
that are not supposed to be there. Why? Because they're undigested.
And they start to set up shop in different areas of your body,
creating inflammation.
This is where you become more susceptible to autoimmune issues. You know,
all different types of, uh, you know, lupus, osteoarthritis, all these types.
Okay. So this is GALT, right?
This part of your lymphatic system is also helps and is also responsible for
maintaining this whole process and maintaining the gut mucosal barrier and
immune tolerance. Okay. So it all works together.
So now you kind of see this entire picture that happens. Okay.
This is why you get 70 to 80% of your immune system being in your gut,
and why it's so important. How can we support our lymphatic system?
Now,
one of the things you have to understand about the lymph system is that it does
not have a pump. So, you know,
we have a lot of different pumps in our body, right? We have sodium, potassium,
all these pumps. We have pumps in our, in our calf muscles.
We have different types of pumps that are pumping things, right?
The heart is itself a pump, right?
Pumping blood to and from and all these types of stuff, right?
But the lymphatic system itself does not have its own pump.
So it relies on movement.
It relies on movement of muscle.
It relies on muscle and physical activity. Okay.
So this is why they say,
especially people who need to promote lymph drainage, they say, you know,
lying down with your feet up above your heart or, you know,
techniques, techniques such as massage or stretching, you know, yoga,
chiropractic care, skin brushing,
all these types of things help to move the lymph fluid along,
but also exercise.
Exercise is one of the best things you can do for lymph detoxification and for
moving the lymph system along those folks who are,
let's say, um, sedentary,
let's say just don't like to exercise. If you find yourself with,
um, you know, different types of things like, um, congestion,
things are not moving. You're finding a building up of congestion,
maybe in your lungs and your sinus passages, all these types of things.
You could be suffering from lymph congestion. That is a thing.
You gotta move. And this is why it's so important to exercise.
It's always important to make sure you're doing everything you possibly can to
make sure you're moving that lymph system along because that's how your body
drains and absorbs and make sure things are working properly.
That's so important. Okay.
So movement is the lymphatic pump.
Keep that in mind. All right.
So now how does Arabinogalactin feature into
this? Okay. Or factor into this? Well, what is Arabinogalactin?
So Arabinogalactin is a prebiotic carbohydrate that feeds beneficial
bacteria in the gut. Okay. But it does a lot more than this.
It provides important functional support for the mechanics of lymph fluid
movement and the GALT system. Okay.
And there's been research and it talks about it here.
Research demonstrates that Arabinogalactin promotes lympho
geogenesis. Okay. And I'm probably saying that wrong,
but basically it's the formation of lymphatic vessels. Okay.
It also helps to support the lymphatic vessel remodeling by
activating important signaling pathways.
Also Arabinogalactin aids in supporting the GALT and intestinal
barrier by activating the anti-aging AMPK and sirtuin
pathways. We've talked about those pathways,
especially the sirtuins because they're responsible.
They're responsible for longevity. Okay.
And also inhibiting the inflammatory NF kappa B pathways and the
LPS lipopolysaccharide pathways,
basically the pathways that promote inflammation. Okay.
Well that promotes bacterial toxin and induced oxidative stress.
So Arabinogalactin helps with that,
reducing the toxic burden on your intestinal barrier.
Also Arabinogalactin,
because it's a prebiotic and also helps with probiotics.
Okay.
There was a human study that evaluated the effect of taking the Arabinogalactin
as a prebiotic and combining it with the probiotics.
And it showed that when combining Arabinogalactin with
Lactobacillus, which is a prebiotic probiotic and the immune supporting
compound colostrum,
it showed an increased production of the NK killer cells with,
with reduced interleukin six and other inflammatory compounds in
the gut.
So it's a great idea to combine the Arabinogalactin with the probiotics.
Let's look at metabolism.
There's been animal studies that demonstrated the Arabinogalactin supports lipid
and glucose metabolism by activation of the PPAR
alpha and other signaling mechanisms in the liver.
Revealing a metabolic support. Okay.
So good stuff as far as Arabinogalactin and what it does
and what it can do for your immune system. Now, where can you get it?
Obviously we can take a look at the immune of, I'm sorry.
We can take a look at the wellness resources brand of Arabinogalactin.
Theirs is called immune plus it's available in both powder and
capsules.
It's great for all ages from the very young to the very elderly.
And basically it's a powder. You can mix it in water. Okay.
Or you can mix it in your favorite juice and it can be used every single day.
Great, great supplement. Again, it helps, you know, supporting your health,
supporting lymphatic drainage. Again,
if you find yourself with constant allergies like I had, I had sinus allergies.
I had you know, sinus congestion.
I had all different types of just overall congestion.
And Arabinogalactin is a great thing to help with that. I took it by the way,
during my healing phase, if you want to call it that,
but it's a great thing. You can give it to kids by the way,
you can put it in the kid's juice. They really, they won't taste it.
It won't really affect the taste of the juice. You know, give them, if they,
if your kids are little and they drink juice in the morning,
you give them a little bit of that in the morning off to school and it helps to,
you know, helps to protect them.
And their immune system helps us support their immune system when they're in
school, right? Cause we all know that schools are Petri dishes.
You can also take a look at super immune booster again from wellness resources.
This combines Arabinogalactin with colostrum beta glucan and which is a
mushroom, mushroom extract by the way, and olive leaf extract.
It's a great thing. And you know, it's a,
it's a great thing that you can take again daily to help boost your immune
system for the winter months. But, um, and a few T if you are,
if you need extra digestive support, you can add on fiber helper to help,
you know, just to keep everything moving.
Cause remember it's running down the limb system and it's getting detoxified.
You have to make sure that you have fiber on the backend to make sure you bring
all those toxins out at the end of the day. Right? So great stuff.
So immune plus with super immune booster and even fiber helper,
if you need that great three punt, uh, you know,
three punch combination for your immunity. And again,
you can get those from wellness resources at my vitamin resource.com. But again,
everything you can do to support the lymphatic system for proper drainage that
combined with the, um, the movement in terms of,
of just, you know, exercising is a great way to keep your immune system in check.
So check it out. Good stuff here with a Robin Ogalactin and lymphatic drainage.
It's really, really important to keep this.
And it's part of the immune system that a lot of people don't talk about.
People always talking about vitamin C and all this type of stuff,
but people are not really talking about too much about lymphatic drainage and
the limb system in general, but it's very important. It's, it's a,
it's a whole comprehensive package. So check it out.
And I think you will be healthier forward, especially in the winter months.
All right,
finally I'm going to chat a little bit about something that we've been seeing
the last, well, last, last couple of months,
they've been really, really talking about it,
but the last couple of years we've been seeing it and it's the dying of the
corporate media and or the legacy media. Now, what do I mean? Okay.
So obviously when I was a kid,
I grew up as a child in the seventies and the eighties, you know,
what did I have as a kid? I had, you know,
seven channels or maybe 12 to if you count channel 11, channel 13,
that type of thing, maybe 13 channels. Okay.
And that's how you got your news, 13 channels, right?
And there was no social media. Again, I talked about this.
There was no cell phones. There was none of that. It was no internet.
We just had to rely on TV. Maybe the, um, we had a lot of newspapers, right?
New York post and these types of things. Well, you know,
obviously growing up in New York and uh, and radio radio,
those were the three basic places that you got your information, TV, radio,
and um, newspapers. Okay. Now,
when we look at health information,
how was health information disseminated back in those days through those three
mediums, right? Radio, television, and newspapers. Okay. However,
throughout the, throughout those years,
what happened in terms of health information? Well, there was a capture.
Big Pharma came in and basically they lobbied and they captured those mediums.
They be, they started to,
they started to put a lot of money into those media outlets.
They became sponsors of those media outlets and they started to control the
information through those media outlets. We all know that, right?
We've been talking about that for the last decades.
So everything was filtered through that, including the health information,
information on vaccines, information on pharmaceuticals,
information on, you know, what doctors did or did not do.
And whatever the latest studies were,
everything was filtered through that. And it's still to this day,
really at the end of the day,
it's filtered through those lenses in terms of legacy media.
So they control what you wanted to see.
So if you wanted to get information on dietary supplements,
which were not that big of a deal back then, you had to look elsewhere for it.
You had to go into maybe bodybuilding magazines, nutrition magazines,
all these types of things, right? Now there were some health gurus out there.
Jack Lane was a big one. Gary, no, he's still around doing it.
You had other health gurus out there. Richard Simmons, you know,
they were doing their best. They wrote many books.
There was tons of books on health and nutrition out there.
A lot of people weren't reading them,
but there was tons of books on health and nutrition that were out there,
you know, and,
but they weren't as powerful as the legacy media of what people were coming
home and watching when they put on the evening news and seeing all the
commercials. And then in the 1990s, what happened?
There was a whole shift and it,
and now pharmaceutical companies were allowed to put ads on TV for
pharmaceuticals that wasn't allowed prior to the 1990s. And I think it was 1997.
Don't quote me on that. I don't remember the exact time,
but that's what happened. And now to this day, it still goes on.
If you have cable, we don't have cable, but if you have cable,
if you're one of those in the generation that has cable, what do you see?
You see tons of pharmaceutical commercials that are still going on.
People dancing and singing,
talking about the latest blood sugar medication that's now or how they lost
weight or whatever.
They're they're taking for their eyes or they're taking for their heart or
whatever it is. Atrial fibrillation. You're seeing all that stuff, right?
And um, you know, that's what we grew up with.
So shows like mine shows like this didn't exist except, but again,
like guys like Gary know who's, who's been doing it for 50 years.
If you weren't listening to Gary knows information, Gary knows a health guru.
Again, he's in a slit. He's in his mid to late seventies now,
still doing an amazing job. You know,
he's still out there with his with his show and he's, you know,
he's got millions of people listening to it. He's still writing books,
still doing documentaries and he's just doing amazing information. Okay.
But if you didn't know who he was back then, you didn't know that.
You didn't know all that information that he shared with you. Right.
But what happened?
Once social media got involved and independent media
started to rear it's, you know, it's big head.
Now the Joe Rogans of the world started to get into it and
the internet started to become a thing, right?
Podcasting starts to become a thing. Now shows like this start to spring out.
Now you start to see a change. Why?
Because shows like this shows like Gary,
no shows like that are coming out now. What are they doing?
They're actually looking at the information,
especially the health information that you weren't getting from Lacey. Why?
Because again,
the legacy media and the corporate media was filtering it
to favor the pharmaceutical companies who pay
for it. So you weren't seeing all the studies you weren't seeing unless
somebody got sued, which did happen by the way, many times.
But unless there was a lawsuit that was in the media,
you didn't know what was going on. You didn't see the actual studies.
You didn't see the, the, the nutrition information.
It was only when doctors, especially naturopaths,
herbalists, functional medicine, doctors,
chiropractors started to come out with blogs,
started to come out with podcasts,
started to come out with shows and different types of things where you started
to get a different perspective on it. Why?
Because they were sharing the information that the corporate media was not.
And then here's what the problem is, especially over the last 10 years,
those in the corporate media,
especially the pharmaceuticals and those that have corporate interests,
especially in Congress and Senate and all these types of things started to label
shows like this and the Joe Rogans of the world and the
shows and the shows of medical experts and those actual doctors,
because I'm not a doctor, but shows that were doctors that coming out,
they started to label this misinformation. Why?
Because it went against what corporate media was talking about.
But here's the issue.
The studies that we were citing and the studies that we do cite to this day are
no less valid than the studies that they're cited.
I would argue that there are more valid. Why? Because they're not filtered.
The information that I show you on this show, okay,
is information you can look up,
is information you can actually go on,
look up and read for yourself and sight, see where the sources come from.
Okay. Their corporate media was not letting you do that. And what's happening.
Now people are realizing,
people are realizing that the truth is actually coming out on the independent
side of media and people are starting to leave a corporate,
the corporate media side.
And part of it also is the younger generation is not watching that.
The 18 to 24 year olds are not watching CNN,
MSNBC and all these cable channels. They don't even have cable. Okay.
I'm over 50 and I don't have cable. All right. But they don't have cable.
So what's happening? You're starting to see the shift.
You're seeing this shift away from that,
away from the filtered media into this whole new landscape where there's tons of
information. Why is that important?
Because the health information that is available now through independent media,
it's up to you to take that information and decipher it for yourself.
It is no longer filtered through the legacy in corporate media.
It is now up to you to make the determination. Don't take my word for it.
Again, I provide this information.
You can take this information that I provide and you can read through it and see
if it works for you and read through the sources.
But shows like this are doing that now and this is why you are seeing corporate
and legacy media starting to die because that model no longer works and people
are now moving away from that model because they're realizing that that model
only gives you a small percentage of what is actually out there and a small
percentage of what is actually true. Period.
That's just the way it is. Okay?
Because people are realizing that they can actually critically think for
themselves themselves and actually realize, Hey, you know what?
This information here is actually not aligning with what they were telling me on
this side of thing.
I have people in my family who don't even know what podcasts are.
They don't know what independent media is.
They still watch legacy media and they have no idea what's going on.
And then when I tell them something, they think that I'm providing misinformation.
I'm not providing misinformation. I'm providing the information that's right
here. I can show you all the information I got. Okay?
You are the one that is misinformed. Think about that. Okay?
So when it comes to health information, at the end of the day,
the reason why shows like mine exist now, there's thousands of shows like mine.
The reason why we exist is because we are giving you the information that you
are not seeing in the legacy media. And we're saying,
here's the information. You take it.
You critically think you're smarter than what they give you credit for.
Take that information and go with it. Read it. Use it.
See if it works for you. Okay. We're the, you know, independent media is,
I would argue independent media is what actually gives you the credit for being
smart people. It's not legacy media.
Legacy media is eventually fading away and it's, it's really,
it's really bad for them.
And now with the new administration coming in and some of the changes we may
see coming down the pike with the new administrations,
with the FDA and the CDC and censorship and all this type,
it's going to be interesting to see what happens.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens.
But those of you who listen to this show, obviously,
you know these things exist, but you know,
the, the idea of legacy media and corporate media, in my opinion,
in a lot of people's opinions is over, is over. Okay.
It's just a matter of time before those things fizzle out.
And there's going to be a new sheriff in town and that is legacy media.
I mean, that is independent media because now the independent media shows like
this and the Joe Rogans of the world and the other shows and the other health
shows that are out there are dwarfing the corporate media and corporate media
and corporate capture and corporate influence.
It is,
they are in absolute panic mode because they realize their model is dying and
it's going to affect their bottom line and they're doing everything they can to
hold onto it. So it's going to be interesting to see what happens. Okay.
But again, at the end of the day, my message to you guys is critically think,
look at the information for what you, for what it is,
see if it works for you and if not disseminated,
get it out there to someone else.
But don't be brainwashed by what's filtered through corporate media.
Look at this media here because this is the information at the end of the day
that is going to rule the day. That's just what's happening.
Okay. It's my two cents on it by the way.
And I'm going to continue to bring this information to you guys. Okay.
And have you guys make the decision for what's true and not true for you? Okay.
It's just that simple. So I hope you guys get a lot out of this.
And I hope you can really critically think and keep all this in the back of your
mind and we'll see what happens in another five to 10 years. All right guys,
thank you for so much for joining me.
It's been a pleasure and an honor to share this information with you as always.
Make sure you guys take care of yourselves.
Make sure you take care of each other and as always control your health.
Have a great week.
