[Music] and now the 22 News Storm Team forecast T is 4:50 on this uh Tuesday morning almost said Monday but it's Tuesday chapi right now we got some Cloudy Skies out there we are seeing some rain approaching us out of the West for now it's dry in Westfield you can see that light Breeze out of the East with the flags blowing there and for again most of the early half of this morning between now and I'd say around 5:30 or so it'll be fine but then after that we'll start to see some rain come on in we got the breeze right out of the East for now nice and light and winds will stay uh calm through much of the day temperature 34 Northampton 35 in springfi in the 30s back into the bur shears as well as we go throughout the rest of the day these temperatures will be staying in the 40s to near 50° com the afternoon and again we got that rain this morning and we could see some partial clearing for later today so don't be surprised if during the afternoon hours especially after I'd say 300 p.m. towards Sunset you see some sun come out because I do think we'll see a gradual clearing sky so rain this morning partial PM clearing that is the top of the TN Storm Team forecast Focus we're still watching that storm for the end of the week looks to still be that rain and snow mix across much of the region and I'll talk more about that in just a moment and then going down towards the weekend it looks dry and cool for Saturday and Sunday temperatures will be below average also a little Breezy for the weekend as well so right now it is dry taking a wider view on clouds radar you can see the rain is starting to approach us out of the West and for most of us it's just going to be rain but there could could be a few spots especially on the onset of this could see a little bit of some freezing drizzle some sleep mixing in a few spots because temperatures are still in the low to mid-30s especially as you go towards the hills here we are 7: a.m. you can see some of that pink showing up here again it's mostly rain but there could be a little bit of some sleep or some freezing drizzle that mixes in with that rain as we go through early this morning by noon 12:00 the rain is continuing but then it's out of here by around I'd say 2:00 or so this afternoon by 3: as I mentioned don't be surprised if some breaks of sun start to develop and then we do start to see things clear up as we go into the overnight a few passing clouds and overall Wednesday looks to be a really nice day and I would say tomorrow if you can would be the better day to travel to your Thanksgiving destination because of course Thursday we are watching this storm so I 202 Storm Team skycast here as we talk about Thursday 4:00 a.m. on Thursday morning we're fine is cloudy here comes that storm system coming in 8:00 in the morning it is rain across all of con here in the valley now towards Boston this is just all rain 12:00 here in the afternoon on Thursday it is a soaking rain for mostly everyone but if you look here you can see some of the hilltowns especially in the burkers it could start as snow and likely stay snow and some of the hilltowns and the burkers and as a storm pushes off to the east here and draws in some of that cooler air 3 p.m. here on Thursday afternoon again Boston down through Hartford down through New York City it is just completely rain but once you get around Greenfield back into the birk Shear here it changes over to more of a snow situation and Thursday evening 6 p.m. we could see that rain snow line start to crash a little to the South East here and I think even Greenfield Northampton back into the birk shears even Northwestern Connecticut could end as some snow as we go into Thursday evening and then eventually this tapers off and we could see a few leftover sprinkles or flurries going into Friday morning so I am going to put some numbers on this later this morning I'm waiting to look at a few more uh models but I wanted to show you the area that there is likely going to be some accumulating snow at this it looks to be mostly rain for much of the valley and points to the east here but once you get around Franklin County from Orange back through Greenfield and into the birk shears uh that's where you will likely find some accumulating snow Thursday and Friday and as you head up north into Vermont New Hampshire uh that's where you could get a really decent snowstorm up there as we go towards the end of the week so Valley areas this looks to be mostly rain could end as a little bit of some wet snow but once you get to the birk shears and across Franklin County it looks like this could be a overall mostly snow event so a few inches are possible in the hilltowns around an inch of rain or more is possible in the valley the exact track will uh determination the precept uh type if that low wants to be stronger or move a little to the South it can bring in some of that cooler air and that could give us more of a wintry mixture but as of right now there's a good agreement on where the center of low pressure will likely be so I think again for a lot of us this starts as rain and then as we go into the evening it'll transition into uh more of a wintry mix but for Springfield and right along the Mass Pike out towards Boston it looks to be mostly rain so temperatures out there 46 to 50 again rain this morning with partial PM clearing as we go through tonight we'll fall back into the 20s and 30s passing clouds but overall a clear night and for the rest of the twin Storm Team 7-day forecast tomorrow is a fine day if you want to travel on Wednesday it looks perfectly fine but Thursday is going to be turkey rain snow throughout the day we could even see a rain snow mix in the morning on Friday and then down
