Hello and welcome back to my channel. Today's video is all about my pack. Now I love dogs,
I love them just as much as I do the horses and so surrounding myself with a large pack of dogs
is great fun but they are all incredibly different in personality, breed and type. So I thought I'd
share a little bit about each one so that you could get to know them and see all the clever
things they do. Enjoying adventures with my dog is one of the best experiences life has to offer.
Whether we're hiking on the moors, exploring sandy beaches or embarking on camping trips
every adventure is filled with fun. The sheer happiness on their faces as they explore and
hoon about. These moments not only strengthen our relationship but also create lasting memories
reminding me of the simple pleasures that come from spending time in nature with my furry friends.
This is Doug, he's a Hungarian Vizsla and his favourite thing is playing fetch.
Originating in Hungary these dogs were initially bred for hunting particularly for tracking and
retrieving game. Hence why Doug loves to play fetch. Characterised by their sleek athletic
build they are a versatile and energetic breed of dog. Vizslas are known for being intelligent
and trainable but Doug, well he's just a bit of a goofball.
Doug is definitely the bottom of the pack. The girls, they walk all over him. He was such a cute
puppy, he always wanted to be cuddled. Their friendly social nature means they usually get
along well with everyone, well almost everyone. Famously known as velcro dogs, personal space
just isn't their thing. This is Tati, she's a German Wirehaired Pointer. Well that's what we
think she is because she's a rescue dog all the way from Cyprus. Tati's about 12 years old now
and she's a little bit hairy so we have to clip her coat off sometimes.
I actually saw Tati advertised on Facebook, she was just a bag of bones. Tati grew up on the
streets having to find her own food and I guess some habits are hard to leave behind.
Despite being an older lady now Tati still loves keeping up with all the young dogs.
This is Nancy, now obviously she's a Dalmatian. She's four years old and she's a bit of a princess.
Come on Nancy, let's go. We've actually had quite a few Dalmatians over the years.
They're such lovely dogs, I got my first one when I was 18 years old. Dalmatians are of course very
easily recognisable because of their spots. They can either come in black and white or liver and
white. Dalmatians have a rich history dating back to ancient times where their role was to trot along
underneath the carriages. Of course they look very beautiful when they're trotting along,
they have a very elegant gait. Nancy likes to prance around so we call her Prancer,
but sometimes she can find herself in deep water. Dalmatians have quite a thin coat and they
actually molt all year round, so Nancy doesn't really like getting cold and wet and prefers to
stay in the warm. I've always found Dalmatians to be very clever and very easy to train,
but some people say they can be a little bit ditzy and quite stubborn as well.
This is Luna, she is a Labrador Retriever or a Lickimador as we like to call her,
because she's always trying to lick you. Luna's two years old now and she's a very funny dog.
Good girl. Labrador Retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds across the world,
known for their friendly and outgoing nature. They come in black, brown and cream like Luna.
Labradors have a natural love for the water and fantastic swimming ability.
They are very laid back, easy going kind of dogs, which makes them very trainable.
These are my two Dachshunds. This is Pongers, who started off being called Pippin, I've forgotten
then, but soon got changed to Ping Pong and then Pongers, so hence why she has a very funny name,
but we call her Pongers, don't we? Pongers is a smooth haired Dachshund. I think she sort of
just counts as a mini, but she's quite large for a mini, so she's almost standard size.
And then this one here, this is Edith, who we now call Tweedle or Tweedy. Edith is 10 months old
and she's a wire haired Dachshund. And as you can see, she's pretty tiny. She only weighs about
three kilograms, but what she lacks in stature, she makes up for in voice. She is so loud,
aren't you? You are very loud, but she's also extremely cute and they're great fun.
Initially bred for hunting burrowing animals like badgers, their unique shape with their
long bodies and turned out feet allows them to dig into dens and flush out prey.
They come in three coat types, smooth, long haired and wire haired, and they can be found
in various colour patterns too. Don't look all cute at me. Pong, what have you done?
What have you done? You're a little shabag. You are a bad dog. Although they are quite naughty,
these small dogs are known for their bold and curious personalities.
Dachshunds are often described as lively, playful and sometimes a bit stubborn,
which can make training a fun challenge. I know.
Grapes. Are you grapes? Cute, but grapes. Good dogs.
