These dogs are incredibly special and sadly, there are so many just like them sitting in shelters right now. If you truly love this breed, going to a breeder while thousands are waiting (and dying) in shelters isn’t doing them any justice.

Every single day across the United States, Huskies are euthanized due to overcrowding. It’s a harsh reality. These dogs are high energy, intelligent, and sometimes anxious. Which makes shelter life especially hard on them.

There’s a lot of controversy around Huskies…whether you should adopt vs. shop, or even whether they can live in apartments without land. Here’s my experience: while many Huskies are energetic and vocal, I’ve rescued several who are the calmest, most relaxed dogs in my pack. They’re all individuals.

What isn’t controversial is that EVERY dog, Husky or not needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, and a committed human who understands them.
If we really care about this breed, we have to show it through action. Adoption saves lives. That’s the justice these dogs deserve and we owe to them.
