On October 30th, 2024, at approximately 0050hrs, I, Trooper Alex Bratton, observed a white Chevrolet pickup truck turn north
onto S.H. 5 from S.H. 89 without a license plate displayed to the rear. I turned around and started to follow the truck north on
S.H. 5. After going over one hill, I noticed the truck was traveling over the speed limit. I used my front radar to determine that
the truck was traveling 90mph in a 55mph zone. The truck then turned to travel west on East Justice Road. When I turned on
East Justice Road, I could tell the truck was attempting to evade me, traveling at a high rate of speed. I initiated my lights and
sirens and notified dispatch that I would be in pursuit of this truck.

As I was catching up to this pickup, I noticed he was driving all over the road at approximately 100mph, attempting to block my
patrol unit from the position to perform a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). When I had an opportunity to attempt a TVI, I
maneuvered to the left side of the pickup and began to touch the back bumper. The driver slammed on the brakes, causing my
unit to slide past him. The pickup then continued through the intersection of West Justice Road and Old Highway 5, not
stopping at the stop sign and traveling south on Old Highway 5. The pickup immediately turned right, traveling west on West
Justice Road. At this point, I performed a successful TVI. That action caused the truck to rotate clockwise, ending the pursuit
safely after colliding with a tree on the north side of the road.

Driver identified as Harry Edgar Nethercutt.

The truck's license plate was found under the driver's seat. The registered owner advised the truck was stolen from an auto repair shop and that he did not know Nethercutt.
