Suspect yanked from Camry after PIT Maneuver ends multi agency PURSUIT - 😢 Arkansas State Police
Report:
On 10/15/2024, at 8:59 PM, Troop A Communications was notified by the Sherwood Police Department about a vehicle pursuit
traveling west on I-40 approaching the north interchange with I-30. Trooper Korbyn Freeman and I, "Trooper Robert Plyler,"
responded to the area of I-30 to assist.
As Troopers arrived in the area, Sherwood PD advised the pursuit was traveling west on I-30 in the construction zone as they
crossed the Arkansas River Bridge. Troopers staged at the intersection of I-630 EB to I-30 WB as the pursuit crossed the
river. Troopers joined the pursuit as it passed the I-630 EB to I-30 WB intersection, with myself taking primary and Trooper
Freeman as the secondary. A successful TVI was completed, instantly allowing Trooper Freeman to assist with pinning the
vehicle to end the vehicle pursuit.
Troopers conducted a felony takedown on the car with the driver "Jordan Norris" refusing to exit the vehicle. While other units
provided lethal coverage, I went hands-on with Norris and removed him from the car through the driver's side window. Norris
was taken to the ground, where he was placed into custody.
While removing Norris from the vehicle, I sustained an injury to my small finger on my left hand, requiring medical treatment.
After releasing Norris and the car to Sherwood PD, I drove to Baptist Health Medical Center for treatment.
While at Baptist Health Medical Center, I contacted the company nurse and completed a medical report. After receiving X-rays,
I was told I had a fracture in my small finger on my left hand.
