Trooper's Narrative:

On 10/12/24 at approximately 0949 hours I, TRP. Trey Smith #415, observed a gray Mercedes passenger car traveling at a
high rate of speed on Interstate 630 EB near mile marker 6. I caught up to V1 and got a speed on my radar as we approached
mile marker 5 (81 MPH in a 60 MPH).

The vehicle took exit 5 and went southbound on University Ave. I was stuck behind traffic on the exit ramp but I still had eyes
on V1. I sped up on University and as I crested the hill and crossed 12th St I observed V1 in the right lane attempting to flee at
a high rate of speed. I got in the right lane and initiated my lights and siren.

V1 was traveling at speeds of 90 MPH in a 40 MPH
zone. Traffic was medium and I lost sight of him near Berkshire Dr. I continued south on University Ave and discontinued my
pursuit after passing Asher Ave. I circled back to where I last saw V1 and located the gray Mercedes 350 on Berkshire Dr at Point O' Woods Dr. I initiated a felony stop and called out the driver and sole
occupant of the vehicle Chike Ekeanyanwu.

He was placed into custody and I read him his rights. When I asked him
what happened he stated that he was trying to get to his friend's house.

There was a black Chevy Silverado on scene and the driver stated that V1 struck his vehicle. Holland stated that he was sitting at the intersection of Berkshire Dr and University
Ave when V1 approached at a high rate of speed and turned onto Berkshire Dr. He then stated that V1 sideswiped the front
right portion of his vehicle with the passenger side of V1. V1 then proceeded up the hill and came to a stop near Berkshire Dr
and Point O' Woods Dr. Holland stated that he then saw a State Police patrol car pass on University Ave.

I transported Ekeanyanwu to Baptist Health Medical Center where he was checked out and quickly discharged. He was then transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center. Ekeanyanwu was charged with:

FELONY FLEEING
LEAVING SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
RECKLESS DRIVING
SPEEDING MORE THAN 15MPH OVER LIMIT
