Hey, Dirt Farmer Jay here from DirtFarmerJay.com.
Are you tired of trying to move around small trailers around your yard scape by gripping
on the front like this and pulling them?
Well, there's a better way, a product out there that's inexpensive and effective.
Let me show you what I'm talking about.
Hey, Dirt Farmer Jay from DirtFarmerJay.com.
Like you, we have several trailer devices around our yard scape that we use.
This log splitter, we've got a weed sprayer.
We have a couple of utility trailers and even a full-size trailer that goes behind one of
our vehicles.
And there's times you need to move it around.
You don't want to go get the tow vehicle every time you do it or the yard tractor.
And it'd be a lot easier if you didn't have to just pick this up, but you had a handle.
We found a great little device.
Here it is.
This simple little metal handle with a nice handle fixed over to make it easy on the hands
is a great solution.
It's simply bolted to the side.
The bolts and nuts here are undone and then reinserted back through here to fix the handle
like this.
It also comes with a little aircraft cable affixed pin here that is put right through
the safety on this.
So everything is right there and it makes it a lot easier to haul it around.
Let's go ahead and get it installed.
All right, what we're going to do is undo these nuts here.
And what you'll need is a three-quarter inch socket and a box-end wrench on each side.
I've actually already unloosened these here, so they're finger tight.
So all we're going to do is undo the nut on this side.
On these types here, usually the chains are attached to that bolt, so I'm not going to
pull it out.
But what we'll do is go ahead, take this off like this and our washers.
And now let's place our handle in place.
Replace the washers or the washer on the front one and the back.
Now we're going to go ahead and tighten them back up.
Now we have a great solution in place.
It's easy to pick this up and now I can grasp this and move it much more efficiently with
a bigger grip than trying to reach right here.
So this is a great little solution, easy to install, better on the hands and makes this
piece of equipment much more maneuverable.
Under 20 bucks, you can get them at the link I've provided for you down in the description
on Amazon.
Check it out and see if it's a good solution for you.
If you'd rather tow this kind of equipment around your property with a ball hitch like
this, check out this video that we produced on a great little product we found out there
that puts a ball hitch on your yard tractor, your lawn tractor.
It's a great little solution and I'll walk you through the installation and where you
can get it.
Check that out.
And while you're at it, check out this video also from our catalog that YouTube thinks
is right where your interests lie and we'd love to see you watch it as well.
We think you'll enjoy it.
Until the next time, this is Dirt Farmer Jay with a lot easier move around the property
