In today's trip tip, I'll be showing you a super simple way
to find luxury hotels at the cheapest price
so you are always getting the best value for your money.
Start by opening Google Hotels at www.google.com backslash hotels.
In the search bar, put the city that you are traveling to.
I will use Rome, Italy for this example.
Then add your dates.
And I know this might seem basic,
but definitely stick around as we are going to be getting
into the crazy money-saving hacks soon.
Don't get overwhelmed by all the options.
Instead, start adding filters.
I like to use the filters for four- and five-star hotels only,
as well as those that have a great guest rating.
You can also scroll down to add things like free breakfast
or only show hotels that are going to have air conditioning included,
which many European hotels do not.
Now click the X to save your filter.
I also like to see the prices in U.S. dollars
and will scroll to the bottom to set the currency.
Okay, now here is where the magic happens.
Sort by lowest price and it's going to sort the list
to show the lowest price options first that match all of your filters.
So this list is only showing us four- and five-star hotels.
Now you can go through the list and as you hover over each hotel,
it's going to pop up on the map view
so you can easily see exactly where it is.
You can also use the map to search and hover over each listing
to get an overview of what the hotel is
and then you can click on it either from the map or from the list view
to get all of the detail and see your options to make a booking.
Google Hotels is a meta-search engine,
which means it's going to search prices across all hotel websites
as well as a bunch of other hotel booking sites
like Booking.com and Expedia.
You can be pretty confident by just searching on Google Hotels
that you're going to be able to see the best price.
And then here is my favorite part.
Maybe you want to go to Italy, but it doesn't necessarily have to be Rome.
Head to the map and zoom out and then click to update the list as needed.
And now that you have so many options,
you can head to the filter and narrow your results down even more
by clicking on the price and setting a budget.
Let's go with $105 a night for this example.
Zoom out again and click to update the list when you are prompted to.
And I lied to you a minute ago.
This is actually my favorite part.
Maybe you want to go to Europe and have a luxury vacation,
but it doesn't even necessarily need to be in Italy.
At this point, you can zoom out on the map
and you can see all of the stays within your filters
across all cities in Europe.
When I zoom out like this,
I usually like to go back to my filters
and make even more constraints,
such as only showing five-star hotels
and only those that have a very high guest rating,
such as 4.5 or higher.
And that is exactly how I find these insane luxury hotel deals
at a fraction of the cost that you would expect.
Thank you so much for watching.
Good luck on finding your next luxurious hotel.
And then I hope you'll subscribe to join us back here for more trip tips next week.
