Why I Stopped Making Story-Time Videos...

so I've been noticing a lot of comments that say things like could you do some more story times you should do more storytelling Jess do more and more details I miss the old vids and story times hey everyone welcome to my Channel today I wanted to sit down and have a bit of a heart to heart with you all about something I know that a lot of you guys have been wondering about on this channel you can expect to find some story times and some other random along the way all in form of Animation yep we're talking about why I stopped making Story Time videos I'm awkwardly smiling behind this mic can you tell so let's dive right into it over the years I've shared tons of stories from my childhood and my life public speaking oh my God from the hilarious to the downright embarrassing we've been through it all together I mean who could forget the time that I accidentally gained a pet bird oh my God all the Epic Saga of my disastrous High School photos I persevered through the Searing light and locked eyes with the camera I have absolutely loved sharing moments like these with you all but eventually I reached a point where all the major stories had been told that and the remaining stories I haven't told are a bit more personal which I prefer to keep private before long I found myself staring at a blank page thinking what the heck I can't think of new stories and what would capture your interest and that's when I realized something important I do not want to fall in a trap of inflating every little detail that happens to me into something that seems more interesting than it really is authenticity is really important to me if I'm sharing life stories they need to be truthful I refuse to bend the truth just to make a story more engaging because at the end of the day that's just lying to you guys I'm not here to milk a boring story like how I've been to the shops and I got some milk but on the way I saw a car do three cartwheels and a backflip and a you know what I mean like that's obviously not true but is it you deserve real honest content not exaggerated tals just for the sake of entertainment another reason is that the stories that do happen nowadays are just not elaborate enough to justify an entire video they're quick funny situations that are over in less than 60 seconds all they're about passions I have that just wouldn't fit the story time format as an example in my color videos I can interject personal stories naturally without the pressure to drag them out but having lavender literally shoved on my nose photos of me on this day really do be looking [Music] like it's a lot more fun and genuine this way plus I love that it gives me the freedom to create content that's not centered solely around myself I want my videos to be more about sharing amazing shocking and interesting things with you all and to sprinkle my thoughts opinions and experiences throughout now that explains why two halves of the World experience winter in different times of the year the North American the shoveling snow and being jolly and asiz are you get the idea by Shifting the focus away from me I get to be more of a messenger rather than the topic itself this way we can explore a wider range of topics and dive into some really cool and interesting stuff together and while we're on this topic red is actually like an optical illusion to us and it can appear closer than it really is I'm going to be real before I started doing these types of videos I do a lot of deep Di in general so I figured why not do it on YouTube right and the Egg lost to a piece of salmon called K also I've noticed that many of you are just as interested in the topics I discuss as you were in my personal stories whether it's breaking down popular s Rio characters and their backstories diving into Worlds of cartoons and gaming or in covering hidden messages and Easter eggs throughout media there's so much out there to talk about can you believe that Cinema roll is a boy let's just get that out there first he is a dude pretty much what I said before I really love how it doesn't limit the type of content I get to create as you all probably know this isn't my first time changing up my content but with this new Direction I do want to say thank you so much for all the positive feedback it is really encouraging and I'm glad you're liking the stuff also huge the place just uploading disappearing uploading you know you get the idea then hopefully in the future I would love to do some more content on the second Channel Jolly Jess uh like more face Toof face videos um maybe gaming or travel related stuff you know the possibilities are endless okay what do I prefer more Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast this is so hard life gets busy sometimes and it sucks but I will try and do it someday if you guys want that like if you don't just say it also I'd love to be more active on my socials I'm going to be real I suck at it but hey that is something I also want to work towards oh and while I remember it could be fun doing some more challenge related videos if you guys are interested like I've done the chicken leg Polaroid video here's us assembling a masterpiece here M I've done uh trying UK Foods um they're kind of cursed actually but apparently they're a big deal here so making clay things to the [Music] oven you know just any challenge or art rated thing I'd be down for it honestly anyways enough of me rambling I just want to emphasize that this doesn't mean I'll never share personal stories again if something truly interesting or hilarious happens you bet I'll share it in one way or another it'll just be more organic fitting naturally into the context of the videos I'm making on the channel I hope this clears up a bit and gives you some insight on why I've made these changes I am so grateful for your support and understanding as the channel evolves let me know in the comments below what topics you'd love to see in
