are Asian men really that predictable
how true was this Tik Tok cuz we got to
talk about it yeah somebody sent this to
us let's run the clip men only have four
[Music]
moves boom okay so that is instagrammer
Tik tocker Hanah kins break break down
of different types of Asian dudes that
she comes across by the way I believe
she's Vietnamese lives in Texas and is
part of gen ZZ and went to college right
so we're going to be analyzing what we
think about these different archetypes
she did do a part one and a part three
so there's other archetypes we'll show
you but uh David this one got millions
of views because I feel like it did
really hit home with some people all
let's just start off she starts off with
the rich international student uh
designer fob wearing logo Mania is uh
the Supreme and the Burberry it's real I
want to say it's a little outdated maybe
nowadays what it's more Balenciaga YSL
right I think this one's a pretty
classic one obviously on WeChat of
course but the second one actually made
me laugh the most the anime Jim kesy boy
with the tight black tea and the jade
necklace and the bang split that no no
no the Boba protein is funny let me tell
you this this is a brand new archetype
that is mixing the buff gym nerd with
the gamer with a little bit of anime
would you agree with me this is a new
archetype yeah I would say actually more
anime than even gamer I feel like that
they have up to three or four favorite
animes that they can talk about so the
next one is a super J-pop K-pop
influence kid who's not really trying to
be too cool he's just got the champion
hoodie also still funny enough David the
the crop bangs the split bangs this is
almost like 80% of gen Z gen alpha kids
that are stylish right very much I would
say okay all right the reason why tawan
flag all right the reason why I would
distinguish this guy is that you don't
notice uh he doesn't have any hardcore
games that he's playing other than Clash
of Clans so he seems to me to be more of
a J-pop anime consumer rather than a
hardcore hardcore gamer right and then
the last one of course is the military
Asian guy which I actually think is a
growing segment of Asian American men I
think more and more are joining the
military do you think it is she is in
Texas though where the military is uh
particularly pulls from yeah yeah no no
I I think you see this type even more in
the South you know especially in Texas
amongst the Asians but I've seen it
before anyways guys David let's check
you guys let us know in the comments
down below which one of these hit home
with you but we got to show by the way
these are gen Z gen Z so let's go to
part number one men only have four moov
[Music]
she's good with the stereotype and I
think the pictures are really funny I if
she made these memes these are hilarious
so the first one we would call them what
the Vineyard Vines whitewash private
East Coast school kid well very very
Americana this is a hyper Americana
brand Vineyard Vines is the newest
Americana brand almost for people who
maybe used to wear J crew or used to
wear abomi but those are like for fobs
now yeah uh the kid they they probably
uh play hockey or LaCrosse or field
hockey and I and and the funny part is I
don't really speak Asians hey the hair
come on the hair kind of got the white
you know you know the Asian kids who are
like no I don't really speak like my do
you think this guy will graduate to
become the Asian-American man who only
dates white women starter pack like once
he gets his Finance job or whatever yeah
maybe I don't know if they're going to
be in New York though they this seems
like a really Southern boy to be honest
with the fish and everything but Atlanta
Texas I don't know I'm trying to North
Carolina Virginia that's not really
South that's DM
Chicago maybe uh next up you got the
kind of middle class to lower middle
class party kid yo this one was
hilarious vaping is hilarious wait
wouldn't you say this is more similar to
the classic Kevin win that a lot of
people talk about but no though this is
a struggle Kevin win though this is a
Kevin wi but like slight a slight in my
opinion the struggle version like not
the one in Lambda does but in in no dis
like a CSA VSA more than Lim it's the
budget Kevin win let's just call him a
Kevin lose he ain't winning yet right
right well his just his win rate is not
at the tier Kevin wih uh implies that
you've achieved some sort of like Apex
archetype yo hold up this caption where
my hug at and it's got a Honda Accord
and some Panda dunks guys hilarious dude
Panda dunk just the panda dunks are cuz
like there's a if you guys don't know I
guess in the sneaker world that Panda
dunk is kind of like an MPC shoe a
little bit right all right this next one
uh this is the sad gitar keshi boy the
non-g glamour keshy Boy earlier we had
talked about kind of the Jim bro anime
guy who is uh I think also Korean
influence previously and we had already
talked about that J-pop Clash of Clans
guy but this is kind of like your boba
shop musician basically is this the
evolution of the from 10 years ago the
cover Song acoustic artists that were in
the Asian American YouTube world yeah
yeah for sure for sure listen they got
the olive cargo pants you know shout out
to Richie Lee he was promoting those
years back obviously all white Air Force
Ones because they need to show that
they're still you know with the times
but Boba of course the split curtain
bangs of course that's the uh that's the
one it might have recorded something on
a garage band oh yeah that's funny and
then finally of course you got to have
your higher achiever went to Yale I'm
developing AI doing St start ups all
that type of stuff 4.0 and they have
often times this hair which is kind of
like a a fuzzy quiff type thing it's
kind of like a messy but still textured
hair cut for a nerd right but I wouldn't
say they want to put too much time into
it because that would take away time
from becoming the next Jeff Bezos but I
will say this guys even the kids at the
Ivy League schools they know how to get
a haircut now come on let's be honest
these kids are are well learned so they
know how to get the curtain bangs I I
visited Princeton a a couple years ago I
saw some kids with the curtain bangs
yeah I noticed that the ivy league kid
obviously you know typically if you're
from a family that makes to the Ivy
Leagues you got a little bit of money
too you can go to a barber shop all
right guys let us know what you thought
about those moods of Asian guys
obviously these are all different types
of Asian guys but by the way guys gen Z
she's in Texas she's a hot via girl who
I'm sure gets a lot of attention that's
why she's able to even come up with
these archetypes right right let's hey
let's play number three men only have
four m
[Music]
boom yo this is a new one this is a
volleyball archetype but I will tell you
know why this is such a good read
because of all the major uh races in
America Andrew white black Latino Asian
the volleyball player archetype only
exists in my opinion within the
Asians like at a higher percentage rate
I I could see whites too but okay do you
think it has anything to do with the
Japanese volleyball men's team being so
good right now you know they're like
kind of killing it I just know that in
chinatowns nin man has always been
popular in Canada Andrew hella Asian
guys play volleyball right right right
like cool Asian guys too like it's not I
think in America to be honest though no
like volleyball may not be as viewed as
widespread cool right universally cool
um moving on Andrew she has the
Southeast Asian Edgar so it's almost
like a Latino Edgar look which is almost
like a swag booy cholo but skinnier but
mixed with like almost kind of the aen
gangster look yeah I don't know about
the car if they're Asian they're still
probably getting like a uh uh a Japanese
car right you're saying the charger
seems a little bit like of a stretch all
right here's the only thing that I would
say though sometimes Asian hoods that
are out side of the main city you do
share them with Latinos and then that's
where this cross bitted right right this
is a very Latino uh influenced Asian
dude okay next up you got the medical uh
doctor or engineer basically this is a
guy who is probably making well into the
six figures now uh they got the white
coat what major bio engineer white Tesla
pors
Cayenne uh is that a Cayenne or more the
the is that a Maan Maan maybe smaller
one maybe I don't know I can't tell um
yeah I mean this is obviously you know
they had to include the the medical
major Minecraft made me laugh right
that's funny I I think it's really funny
to Define these different archetypes by
whatever games they play uh maybe the
guy above with the charger was what is
he a 2K Madden guy more he looks more
like GTA though right right right and
then last but not least you kind of have
your Discord late night Freakazoid Asian
who's kind of probably not an extrovert
skateboards it's definitely on Discord
I'll tell you this we had somebody who
worked for us that almost fit this meme
to a 10 out of 10 that's true this is
definitely a Discord kid it's funny the
Discord kids they kind of have the puffy
floppy hair for some reason I don't know
uh oh wearing the germ mask no no no and
staying up till 5:00 a.m. is a must even
if you have work the next day at like
9:00 a.m. hilarious man I don't really
know what these hashtags are 0406 05 089
if you guys let me know in those uh
comments down below I don't know what
the hashtag me she also went and
categorized the four moods of Asian
girls let's play that women only have
four
[Music]
moods opening up Andrew she has the
whitewash Starbucks girl but still
claims to love fried rice right right
right
uh she said uh Asian language what's
that to be honest I only know English
and French laughing my ass off so to be
honest this is your whitewashed Asian
girl who just eats basically the basic
Asian food from her
culture and and pretty much this is food
that like white people eat like if
you're Tai you get pineapple fried rice
if you're Viet you got the K time if you
got the kimchi fried rice if you're
Korean this is a funny call out with the
bagel and cream cheese is funny because
uh yeah whitewash girls like they like
Bagels the Lulu lemon bag come on man
the pink Drink uh moving on she has the
K-pop kdrama Boba girl is this the
number one one you see in Asian enclaves
though yeah I would say oh they're on
Twitter they probably don't have their
face as their icon or they have um like
a filtered face uh photo of them on on x
i I'm I'm going to go with Avatar
whether anime or K-pop I think this is a
I think these are a lot of streamer
girls or people who watch streams I
should say right right right all right
next up you kind of got your raver girl
ABG influenced Rave Bay uh this but
maybe mixed with a little bit of Jim Bay
Jim Bay Rave Bay hybrid uh often times
the girls if you guys know about you
know just they they're in the gym to be
Jim Bay to look good at to be Rave Bay
right right and I'm going to say yeah I
could see them wearing Nike or some of
the other workout Brands Uzu is funny
cuz that's a Asian dating app uh the elf
bar elf bar is funny hilarious they
might have to change that to to a geek
pulse bar though in I've seen this
outfit yeah you know what I like this
outfit on girls the Lexus that you got
from your parents hilarious the
two-seater or maybe the small back seat
um and then of course you have the
overachiever girl who is going ivy
league probably engaging in Ivy League
Sports such as lacrosse yeah I would say
this girl because of the lacrosse sticks
it's going to be more so East Coast or
Midwest moving over to East Coast
because on the west coast unless you go
to a private school there's really no
Lacrosse right well cuz if you guys know
about elite private schools they tend to
be rooted in East Coast culture even if
they're geographically placed on the
west coast so everybody let us know in
the comments down below which one of
these archetypes might fit you of the
girls or guys uh I thought the pictures
you know are pretty on point they're
pretty funny let's go through some
comments though David no real real quick
I got to just run this one last clip
about she's saying how Kevin winds react
when they see a 10 out of 10 Asian girl
with a midh guy oh
[Music]
oh of course you know guys listen if
people make content about this topic
I'mma show it I'mma show it um all right
let's get in the comment section
somebody said I swear to God these
archetypes get mass produced in
factories what's going on with this
Andrew because she's pointing out things
that she sees as a popular person I'm
sure with a lot of magnetism and and
gravity in the Gen Z she's like easily
going oh yeah this is that type of guy
this is that type of guy this is that
type of guy well uh I think that there's
a couple main reasons why that the it
seems like Asian men's styles in America
are predictable first of all obviously
not all Asian guys fall particularly
into one of these but I would say it's
largely because one Asian guys are not a
huge uh population in America you know
and especially uh we are talking about
Asian guys who seem to probably know
other Asians for the most part yeah I
would say these subcultured Asian
Enclave guys make up easily less than 1%
of the American population but when
there's not a lot of you there is some
more pressure to buy into an archetype
that works and that's my other point is
because Asian guys a lot of them they
just want to wear the clothes or do the
hair or be in things that work because
they all know they're like Hey listen
Maybe being an Asian guy it's hard to
find Community or like or my friends are
already doing this activity they're all
into gaming my friends are into this or
the girls that I think are cute are into
this so I'm just going to or or let's be
honest the girls who like Asian guys
like these different valerant or gamer
archetypes yeah yeah yeah yeah for sure
it goes both ways you know also I think
a lot of Asian guys they they may be
caught up in their studies and other
things about life so they just want to
make their aesthetic simple that's why a
lot of them might look the same I I do
feel like a lot of them are driven from
the digital gamer World though like a
disproportionate volume I guess relative
to other races whereas like for example
Latinos they have like The Ranchero
thing which is like if you're dad was
like into that Pisa thing yeah yeah I
mean I think obviously the amount of
Asians that game is so large that
there's different types of gamer looks I
I think there's a buff gamer bro like we
were talking about earlier that works
out at the G the more modern Arte yeah
that still does game though and then
there's the kind of the shut in guys um
also I just think the perception is that
you know when you're a minority in this
country you you tend to blend in with
each other so that's the perception from
right right right I I did think she left
out the street wear guy you know kith a
wearing like all the newest Street Wear
Brands would be primarily like a
Filipino guy maybe typically speaking
right but could be body nowadays um I
would say this next comment said I love
seeing it happen that why is there why
do all Asians fit into a sub Cult of
ravers with the worst personalities oh
man yeah I mean man just I'll tell you
this I'll tell you this that like you
said to your earlier point the
Asian-American world as grow as much as
it's grown over the past few decades
it's so small and I think there's so
much pressure for everybody to like um
elenium and do you know what I'm saying
like
it's became Asians like Asians shifted
from rap music to EDM and specifically
melodic what it called melodic dubstep
Yeah I mean think about it guys like if
the Rave is kind of the Pinnacle of an
Asian party experience then aren't a lot
of guys and girls going to feel inclined
to lean into the aesthetic that best
fits that that best elevates them in a
rave like if you want to look cool at a
rave what do you do you get fit you get
the tattoos you get you get the curtain
bang haircut get some Travis Scots maybe
get some Travis Scots or your Vans or
whatever the version of your archetype
that you can afford is right right right
uh yeah it was weird when I remember uh
all these like ravers talking to me
about Travis Scots but I was like are
you into sneakers are you into Jordans
they're like nah just into Travis Scots
Travis Scott is kind of a raver rocker
like he has some of that crossover Pew
right right right he's The Rocker of the
rappers yes and uh this guy said this is
more of a street looking Latino guy he
said I ain't never seen an Asian with a
Latino to be honest M yeah I mean I see
these comments sometimes on videos where
Asian girls are talking about how much
Asian girls get with white guys right I
see like a black or a Latino guy who
doesn't look like I guess the type of a
black or Latino guy that would be with
an Asian girl wondering why or maybe
just saying man they'll never get with
my archetype yeah and of course uh last
but not least this guy said yeah this
black guy said but yeah then white guys
get the mad at black guys when black
guys take the 10 out of 10 white girls
the Vicious Cycle yeah right this is
referring to her second uh I mean you
mean her Tik Tok about the midh guys
taking the 10 out of 10 Asian girls and
then Kevin wi's getting mad I
mean everybody at this point is kind of
aware of this like macro pecking order
I'm not saying it's true for everybody
but I'm just saying it exists all right
so I guess overall David any last
takeaways about particularly I guess the
types of Asian guys out there because
you know now that these videos always
pop up starter kits you know archetypes
these stereotypes obviously we've made
this type of content way back in the day
of different types of Asian guys
different types of Asian girls so I
guess how do you feel about it right now
I feel like it has clearly evolved from
the millennial generation you know gen Z
gen Alpha I'm assuming these Archy I
mean it hasn't shifted too much but it
it the details are there and I think
that this is a worthy thing to take a
look at I
guess until people like I'll tell you
this until keshi became successful like
completely in the pan Asian World nobody
was copying that kesi archetype so it
goes to show you how much somebody who's
from that generation having massive
success can sort of create a new Lane oh
yeah guys everybody needs role models
and when the role models get popular
well that's when they become role models
and they become Aesthetics so anyways
guys no dude and doesn't keshy date a
Korean girl who kind of looks like chwan
so it all is synergistic if you think
about it the chwan
idolization keshi sad boy but he's VI so
and he kind of mixed all the Asian
Styles together a little Japanese a
little Southeast Asian so it was like
everything's like more melting together
all right everybody let us know what you
think in the comments down below the
four moods of Asian men until next time
we out peace
