Heda 他早期創作一些宗教題材作品和肖像畫，但其知名作品皆爲靜物畫，以非凡耐心與精湛技法，展不同物品之細膩質感。其畫作可讓後人了解 17世紀荷蘭人生活狀況；或許亦有人在靜中感時光、生命之流逝。
Willem Klaas Heda was born 14th of December 1593 – 1594, died circa 1680 – 1682.
He was a Dutch Golden Age artist from the city of Haarlem devoted exclusively to the painting of still life.
He is known for his innovation of the late breakfast genre of still life painting.
Willem was a contemporary and comrade of Dirk Hals, akin to him in pictorial touch and technical execution.
But Heda was more careful in finish than Hals, showing considerable skill and taste in the arrangement and colouring of his chased cups, beakers and tankards of both precious and inferior metals.
Heda was also associated with the Haarlem artist and fellow still life painter, Floris van Dyck.
