Strange historic landmark! What is the Palm and the Pine on the 99 in Madera? It's the marker between So Cal and Nor Cal. It symbolizes the half way point between the Mexican border and the Oregon border. It may be taken out with Caltrans road improvements. We hope not. More history preserved and less asphalt!
