people are still here making money hand
over fist like Grant cardone's a friend
of mine you know I saw he just published
his numbers he's doing 650 million I
think I saw a year in Revenue 300 about
half of it 300 plus from his online
training courses and conferences and
about half of it from his apartment
rental income I got a lot of people
watching me are from the US but a lot of
them like to go and do Global deals so
let's say they want to come and drop and
start learning the English Market cuz
England's one of the biggest markets in
the world by GDP if you hated somebody
and you had to curse your enemy to be on
the worst place major place to do real
estate not like North Korea where's one
of the big markets that a lot of people
think are good but you think are the
worst Samuel welcome to the Tai Lopez
Show thanks for having me on the
original garage show there you go man
you were talking about my original
garage but you're killing it in the real
estate space you know for me always tell
people the most millionaires in history
self-made millionaires came from Real
Estate the most billionaires came from
Tech and big Brands the average person
though doesn't want to become a
billionaire so that's why it's so
important I like having real estate
experts on my show because real estate
still even in the crazy world with high
interest rates and so much saturation
people are still here making money hand
over fist like Grant cardon's a friend
of mine you know I saw he just published
his numbers he's doing 650 million I
think I saw a year Revenue 300 about
half of it 300 plus from his online
training courses and conferences and
about half of it from his apartment
rental income so let me ask you this
what do you think is the main advantage
of the UK England Market in real estate
I don't know if you know this versus the
US market or other markets what do you
like about the market that you're in cuz
I got a lot of people watching me that
are from the US but but a lot of them
like to go and do Global deals yeah so
let's say they want to come and drop and
start learning the English Market cuz
England's one of the biggest markets in
the world by GDP I mean there's for me
there's loads of advantages to UK real
estate yeah um one is the fact that it's
I mean everyone speaks English yeah
Great Britain yeah and it's a tiny
little island yeah there's a massive
shortage of houses and overpopulation of
people um so I think it's very safe yeah
if you got property there but also the
uh the opportunities like for example
they recently changed the rules and so
that you can turn commercial property
into residential property so for example
if you've got like a block of offices
yeah and you want to turn it into
Apartments you can do that without
getting any planning permission that's
crazy CU in the US if in the US we're
here in Scandinavia you can't 43,000
permit it's a really tough Market here
though in Denmark for Real Estate you've
got rent controls um everything's
legislated Airbnb is legislated us is
that way too but it's not in the UK yeah
so there's not really much let's talk
about Airbnb 2017 2018 I launched a
course called hsmc Home Sharing you know
management company how to launch an
Airbnb style rent to rent some people
call it Rental Arbitrage y so you think
UK is wide open for that most of the UK
yeah so if you're in England outside of
greater London yeah you can do that
completely unregulated no license yeah
London's a little trickier London's a
little tricky yeah if you're in great
London but a lot of people do it anyway
um and or they go longer I interviewed a
guy they will do six Monon vers is like
six day you know yeah medium term yeah
but you're saying the rest of UK is wide
open yeah it is do you ever do anything
in Ireland uh I've done stuff in
Northern Ireland yes nor
okay yeah Northern Ireland um it's it's
an interesting Market um but yeah
Belfast is is is is a pretty good Market
but but I think my my my favorite area
is the middle of England that's where
I'm from okay so so okay so let's say
somebody listening there may be new to
real estate or at least new in the UK do
you think cuz you you've shown me your
properties you've got castles you've got
you know strip malls we call them in the
US not strippers but strip malls where
there's a whole whole bunch of retail
and now you've converted it yeah into
apartments for people to live you've got
Airbnb you've got building from the gr
ground up from scratch what do you think
of all the categories of real estate if
you were starting over now you're a
master expert at real estate but imagine
you you've had one month experience what
do you think is the thing the one type
of real estate people should go into is
it wholesaling is it Airbnb rental
Arbitrage is it developing is it turning
you know offices into Apartments what do
you think is the best return on your
time yeah I think if I was starting
again from scratch yeah and I didn't
have any money you can't really be a
property investor because there's
nothing that you've got to invest yeah
yeah exactly so you could potentially
borrow money and invest someone else's
money yeah um so I think I would I'd be
a property
entrepreneur and I'd say okay how how am
I going to make fast pound right from
scratch and the fastest way to do that
would be from you mentioned earlier we
were talking about how the one thing AI
can't replace is what personal brand
yeah and one other
thing personal brand it can't replace
being a deal maker right yeah I'd be so
I'd be a dealmaker okay so I would find
motivated sellers maybe using AI yeah
I've got AI software on my phone I'd
find motivated Sellers and then I'd find
investors Y and midd and be the middle
man and get a cut and broke so then you
could get you know the way I was telling
you the way I would do that if I was
starting out would be I get some money
up front as a finder fee and I get a
little bit of backend equity in the deal
so if the thing ends up blowing up into
a $50 million piece of property I get
paid front and back well my my my my um
Network some of my deals that you've
seen yeah my students that I have taught
yeah have brought me those deals yeah
and I've given them like 20 30 grand
yeah oh that looks nice back up front
yeah so sometimes they've got 100 Grand
off the back end yeah and they've got
not9 so when yeah basically there's a
good book called The self-made
billionaire
effect 70% of self-made billionaires
started in sales or deal making yeah
because you don't need any money yeah
right you have to be able to sell I
think starting from scratch it would
just be sales I be like I'm going to
sell some stuff but would you become a
real estate agent a realtor would you
recommend that for people cuz there's in
America most Realtors now are quitting I
saw a stat like there was yeah because
now that real estate interest rates went
up well commissions but also interest
rates went up people aren't buying uhhuh
so when the real estate market was but
surely that's the best when people
aren't buying because the interest rates
are high now it becomes a buyer Market
yes and when it's a buy don't think that
way you're stupid you're more advanced
yeah so that's probably the best time
yeah to get a real bargain and then be
able to justify a high broker fee in the
UK as well you don't need a license so
you can just find properties so if I
post on my social media who has a UK
property and you end up buying it you'll
write me a
check so that's not the way that we I
would necessarily do it what I would do
is I would go to High
tequil pay and Tequila pay tequila no um
if if you if you brought me a deal that
was on the market but you negotiated a
fee yeah a good price for it and then
you brought it to me you're the
middleman yeah then you wouldn't need a
license but what if I brought you an off
Market deal nobody knew about so they
needs to have an agent attached to it
yeah that's a little bit more tricky
because now you would be potentially
seen as an agent yes and if you're seen
as an agent now you need a license but
we get attach an agent to it yeah
potentially call up agents or you want
but why would you do that why would you
go out there and find an off Market deal
and then find an agent to attach to it
when you can just go to an agent and go
what you got for me well I was say cuz I
have 7 million social media follows I
I'll find deals that nobody has it's
just I've been curious about that cuz
I've had but most people don't no no for
the average person and you we're talking
about starting from scratch yes starting
from scratch I'd go to an estate agency
and we in England as well in the UK it's
a bit different in America because in
America everything's online so if you
want to if you want to buy a property
you go online and you search for
properties available and then you ring
up the realtor and it's all a bit
different whereas in the UK you walk
into a local estate agency yeah and they
give you a board of all the properties
yeah and you say well I'm I'm buying
cash who's motivated you go and view
them you work out a deal and you buy it
or you pass it to someone else yeah for
sure for me you know in the US market I
like to buy Farmland I always tell
people you got to pick an asset class
that you think you can have an unfair
Advantage what is yours for me it's
Farmland I as a teenager working on
farms I've been to 40 countries looking
at Farmland so but what do you consider
your we call it deep domain expertise
your area of extra skill lease options
lease yeah you showed me one with a one
pound down $1 down yeah and you got an
option to buy it at for 2 million over
the next 10 years so if the property
value goes up 4 million it will go up 5
million you just purchase it for 2
million flip it the next day yeah you
can actually in the US we do cashless
options so basically you wouldn't even
have to put the 2 million in if you had
a a buyer who instantly wants to buy it
from you for six you do a simultaneous
close you put you so you theoretically
in that scenario make4 million off $1
invested yeah plus what you put into the
property how much you going to put into
that property to fix it about 100 Grand
right so you'll end up having 100 Grand
and $1 yeah and what do you think it'll
be worth
realistically I think I've got the
option to buy for 2 million it depends
on the on the rent because if I'm
renting that for the price that I think
I will yeah 26 rooms1
1225 a night per room yeah I could be
getting a million Revenue so now I'm
going to get a commercial valuation yeah
what do you think what would that be
it's going to be I don't want to I don't
want to speak too soon to low end hyper
conserving 4 million so basically you
put $1 down then another 100 Grand over
timeon mhm if you can do a cashless
exercise of aable option yep so you'll
basically have
$1,000 in it and you'll walk with a
check for 2 mil minus closing cost mhm
so you make 1.7 is 1.6 depending on what
you pay but what I'll probably do is
just keep it well my plan is I've paid a
pound I've got the I've got I've got
control of it I'll rent it out and then
I'll use the rent and save it up yeah
and use that to buy it for 2 million
yeah but by the time I go to buy it
it'll be worth four and then after I buy
it I'll refinance it and get my money
back when you're saying you'll make a
million back is that your gross receipts
from your rent or is that are you saying
that's your actual that would be the
that would be the top end Revenue so
that's rental income yeah you think
it'll be a million a year that's that
that that would be best case yeah and
what's your noi your net operating
income kind of after % really M so you
operate pretty efficiently yeah so
500,000 we've got a fulltime a full-time
guy that's living
there so 500,000 of noi of net income
yeah you think will sell for about we'll
value it at about 4 million yeah
conservatively yeah that's a good deal
how much time will it take you cuz
that's the one thing when people start
talking about invesment I'm like you got
to put in the time Factor will it take 2
years or 20 years to to do what to make
it worth four mil so you've you've got
to have it two years to be able to show
the books yeah to be able to get the
commercial valuation so I reckon
probably about 3 years yeah um but hey
I'm putting in very little money and
that's one of many another thing I do
with options is like you with Farmland
is I'll buy land MH on an option yes
then get planning yes push the value up
and then reassign the land to a
developer yeah I made 1.6 million doing
that in lockdown yeah which I bought my
dream house with Y so you you could do
that with very little money so your
wife's here she doesn't like to be on
camera we got to grab some footage here
so let me ask you how involved are you
in the dayto day I'm not that involved
in the dayto day okay I oversee the
property managers for our smaller um
residential Residential Properties that
we have okay but we've got three kids so
I just want to be pres with the kids
right out the business as when I want
you're taking care of them the most
important property the three kids you
get best return on investment from
children so uh how did you two meet well
let me ask I like to ask this about
couples who fell in love the fastest
what's your opinion you don't let him
answer cuz the man always I I beat he
fell in love what is your opinion Samuel
I think I think he was about 5050 is a
pretty even spread he locked it down
fast yes we were married month yeah
people don't realize men in general
scientifically fall in love quicker cuz
people always think you know women are
more n men fall quick oh yeah we been
married now they're com up 10 years 10
years but fourth kid on the way nice
yeah and she's too humble she does a lot
on the business she does a lot she's the
real bot she's the she's like the mafia
boss she ain't going to tell no mob boss
tells you they're the mob boss she's
back on constriction quantities V so
yeah you you do a lot so do you think
you make more money from how this is a
controversial question now people online
are going secure the bag before you get
married and have kids but I'm assuming
you may you you told me do you share how
much you making profit so how much did
you make last year or this year um so so
revenues about 20 mil yeah and what do
you think profits about uh it's pretty
healthy yeah yeah I I know you know more
than 5 mil yeah more than 5 mil so when
you first met her how much were you
making great question when we met I was
making about 10 grand a month okay so I
was a broke do you describe subscribe to
the theory that getting married and
having kids made you more money or made
you poor yeah see a lot of people out
there are saying yeah they the wrong
people man they were the wrong people
yeah if you were the right person
they're going to help you make more
money I think yeah
and I think that I mean it's interesting
as well CU When when we first met I
thought that I was rich and my net worth
was about 300 Grand yeah but I grew up
with nothing yeah so for me I was like
I'm rich she made you not so
cocky she's like don't be coming here
with that L that little 300,000 network
no but but but but also you know Amanda
grew up reasonably humble beginnings and
stuff like that so if ID have told her
she would have also thought I was rich I
didn't tell her I I I this is
interesting story we met at a wedding
and we went on a DAT and I didn't talk
about money at all we just got to know
each other didn't talk about business
money um and I was studying in Bible
College I was training for theology yeah
I did I did my dissertation on biblical
economics okay so you were thinking
about money even in
church biblical economics the reason I
did that was because a lot of when I got
into business as a Christian a lot of my
church folks kind of judged me right and
there was a people they qu scripture at
me a lot saying you know money is the
root of all evil you can't serve God and
money and when I was at Barber College I
was thinking man when I finish college
am I going to continue with my business
on that or is it is it sinful right so I
did my disseration on it is it ethical
to be what was the conclusion the
conclusion is that it's not about what
you have it's about what's got you it's
a heart issue but do you think money
slowly but surely exposes you yes but
changes you know okay just it magnifies
who you already were I I could see that
I think people
change less than you think from money
probably Fame changes people more than
money so if you have a friend who's one
way then they become you know Leonard
DiCaprio that's more likely to change
them than if they make a million Buck I
don't know cuz I didn't do a disseration
on biblical fame biblical fame you
should it's never too late to go back
maybe so so when you meet the church
people do you say I read a stat that
Jesus Christ spoke more about money
correct than any other subject correct
which is pretty interesting maybe in
Parables and talking about the the man
with the parable the talents and but you
know what interesting though at the time
when Jesus came I don't know are you
religious I'm that's a good question I I
like to learn how about that so when
Jesus came people thought that if you
were Rich it because God was blessing
you right and they thought that if you
were Rich you're obviously going to go
to heaven and then if you're poor it's
like oh my gosh you must be in sin right
so Jesus spoke against that right
blessed are the poor you're right
actually blessed are the poor right
right and messed with the people but now
we've gone the other way right and now
people in the church is wear poverty
like a badge of honor right and think
that if you're rich it's because you've
trampled over the poor and you you're
spiritually poor actually there's no
correlation between your bank balance
and your spirituality there's no
correlation between how good you are as
a person and how rich you are you could
be a really rich jerk but you can also
be a poor jerk the Bible says that the
love of money is the root of evil not
money itself but loving money doesn't
mean having money in fact most people
that are obsessed with money and love it
don't have any yeah it's a heart issue
so going back to about Amanda is I
didn't tell her about the money because
I thought I don't want to mess with
anything I'm I just said I'm at bible
college I'll be a pastor maybe I don't
know you're like Chris Rock Chris Rock
said when he got famous and Rich he
liked to go on dates and pick up girls
in a garbage truck and be like I just
got off work and if they liked them then
you would pull out the rolls-royces
right right so you were you at a wedding
what was your opening line uh well what
was it the opening line I think you just
said oh it's the seat free you came ins
by me I I also if you remember I um so I
used to be a magician so I do like oh
you did a little magic like mystery the
this kind of thing you know just like
you know or like or like or like or like
um you know this you just like that so I
did a few tracks
and uh so I pulled the old magic pick up
where you so this is interesting cuz I
like psychology I say did you perceive
him just as a friend or you saw or you
attracted in the first I thought you
being friendly at the time yeah it's
women you can't men don't realize how
often women at first just perceive them
as
friends yeah friendly guy even after my
first dat he gave me like a church hug
and I thought okay probably just friends
but no
it and 9 months later you were married I
I told her before I proposed to her I
said to her I've not told you anything
about my finances I just want to talk to
about my finances where I'm at and I
told her I was a million pounds in debt
which is true because I have got a
million B of debt with my mortgages yeah
didn't tell her about the net the net
you didn't tell the net Equity didn't
tell her about the passive income
whatever and um and and what did you
what did you think when I told you I was
a million pounds in debt I was it's okay
bab I
like you know pay all wait he didn't
tell you that on the first date not on
the first date yeah don't want to break
that too early no that was that was
before I proposed to her you could have
tried the line you could have been like
hi is this seat empty yes um are you
good with money cuz I'm a million
dollars in debt if she likes you then
then you know you don't have a gold
digger if it's the first open I'm going
to try that as an opening line yeah but
now she was just like man we can work
hard don't worry about it and then I
proposed to her then we got married and
then we went same time you right when
she said we work through it you're like
get married yeah we got married quickly
and now we got our fourth kid on the way
10 years married almost and uh and and
she's helped me grow the business you
know brought her Qs skills quantity
surveying and construction into our
business and uh yeah we're doing we're
doing good and it's good to be able to
share back and give and there's a lot of
mentors in the space we were talking
about this earlier off camera that um
aren't making much money doing what
they're teaching yeah which is
ridiculous yeah you know when I started
teaching real estate I I maybe maybe
it's because I'm a I'm a a bad
businessman in this aspect I don't know
but I didn't make any money for four
years yeah I was just teaching doing
videos
YouTube uh running small events and
little masterminds I wasn't making any
money yeah but I was doing it because I
wanted to share I wanted to help people
mostly in my church my church folks
right and then as it got bigger and
bigger I thought okay now I need to take
this seriously and now I've got my you
know my real estate education business
which is which is big I got my finance
company and my developments yeah so it's
good you're teaching but you also do
you're not just somebody who makes your
money yeah by teaching about real estate
you actually have properties that you go
out you fix up you you have to you got
to choose got to choose your Mentor
carefully right and the probably the
worst Mentor though would be a
university lecturer teaching business
who's on $40,000 a year right what the
heck do you know about business but
people will applaud it because you get a
degree at the end yeah which is just
nonsensical people trade a lot for a
piece of paper people trade freedom for
a piece of paper yeah so going back to
uh you know so you got wife seems like
helped you to have a family early you're
kind of a team what what is the best
deal you've ever done the best deal I've
ever done if you go only do one deal for
the rest of your life over and over you
take a deal any of your past deals and
you have to do it five times a year
which deal would it
be I mean the hotels are pretty good
we've got we've got a few hotels that
from a cash flow perspective but
probably the best deal would be there
was a factory that I found um that was
run down derel yeah and the owner
couldn't get planning permission to turn
into anything it was just a rundown
deret Factory and I agreed to buy it on
an option okay um and then I got
planning permission to turn it into 48
Apartments okay my option agreement was
for 1 million yeah but now just a year
or so later the gross development value
is 6.7 million and you know once we've
ref refinanced it and rented it out like
from a rental perspective having 48
units yeah um I mean that is a bit of a
peach that that's a banging deal do you
can you keep finding those or is that a
once in a once in a decade it's tough
yeah and that's another reason why I
teach yeah because my my students
students bring me stuff yeah and I'll
pay them 20 grand 30 grand that's why
it's so powerful to have a personal
brand because with your personal brand
you can re you can reach all your
followers and all the people that they
reach some people forget about a
personal brand it's not just who you
reach it's every person that your most
loyal followers also reach CU they'll
make the intro it's the power of the web
of a network like a spider web a lot of
people think you know oh if I have a
million followers that means I can reach
a million people no to reach a million
people you only need 20,000 followers if
they really like you and they're really
loyal to you 20,000 followers easily
they refer each to two or three friends
and those two to three people refer to
one or two and you end up with this huge
Network yeah was very powerful like the
power of personal branding so for you
when did you the light bulb go on when
you're like I'm not just going to be a
behind thes scenes realtor but I'm I
mean a developer but I'm going to put my
face on yeah I I tell you how it
happened the strategy that I was sharing
packaging and selling deals being a deal
maker yeah I was doing that around about
2012 2012 2013 quite aggressively um and
I had a list of people on my email list
probably only about 200 people who I'd
Market to yeah and then I thought I need
to I need to send them stuff y I need to
put them a newsletter or a video or
something so I made a video on my phone
which is just like hey here are the best
areas to look for this is the types of
deals I'm finding you want to do
business let me know you know that kind
of video and I put it on YouTube as a
platform to send them yeah and it got
more views than my list yes and I
thought how's that happened because I
only sent it yeah I only sent it to 220
people and it's had 300 views how's that
possible yeah oh people found it
organically yeah that's
interesting and that was that was
delightful moment yeah when I realize
basically you did it by accident but
also by being observant CU a lot of
people aren't as sharp as you they'll
post something to YouTube it gets 5,000
views instead of 200 and they'll never
do it again you are smart no I tell
people the sickness of entrepreneurs is
finding what works but either not being
observant or not doing it again so you
started doing it more often then yeah
upload is YouTube your main Channel yeah
what's your second Channel Instagram
insta third Tik Tok do you have email
list yep yeah we've got a pretty big
email list yeah what about some of the
smaller channels snap uh not on Snapchat
are you on are you on Snapchat yeah is
it good 5% of the world logs into
Snapchat every
day snaps big it's a younger audience
but I wouldn't sleep on snap I my thing
is don't sleep on any platform you take
the same content that you're posting to
YouTube and insta and you can stick it
on Snap what do you think of threads
threads is okay that's I think threads
is horrible yeah I would put that as one
of the I put LinkedIn ahead of that I
put Facebook ahead of that I put
obviously Snapchat ahead of that I put
being up are you on affiliate networks
affiliate networks you you put your
offer whatever it be your educational
stuff people can email for it and Mark
it to their lists and they get paid to
cut and you get the customer don't
affiliate's
huge I know guys making 300,000 a day
with a from affiliate traffic they don't
have to do any marketing we'll have to
talk offline on yeah that's a no-brainer
for you to be up on big affiliate
networks I would absolutely do that
because
your own people don't realize Affiliates
have their own way of marketing and you
get I there's affiliate networks that
have a million Affiliates even if they
only send you one deal a decade that's a
million I didn't know that existed I
didn't they even know existed no right
yeah so you can only be in one country
in the world to do real estate and it's
not your hometown of England the UK
where are you going first if I'm only
going to go to one country I think it's
going to be America because America yeah
because us is diverse isn't it yeah and
if if I had to pick a state in America I
probably from my knowledge would
probably go Miami Florida yeah yeah for
the for the
taxes um I've got quite a lot of
connections in Florida Miami
particularly so I think I think that
probably my top my top one country and
then after that I would say Ghana Africa
Ghana yeah why is that oh it makes
massively up and coming really yeah
every and Vis are Popp there connections
are mhm yeah I've got I own real estate
there as well okay yeah so really well
if you hate if you hated somebody and
you had to curse your enemy yeah to be
on the worst piece the worst place major
place to do real estate not like North
Korea yeah yeah where's one of the big
markets that a lot of people think are
good but you think are worse well I
don't know what you think of this area
but this area to me seems terrible no
just like copen I what is it called
Copenhagen it seems terrible because why
well because the the general yields are
around about 2 3% yeah so everything's
regulated you got rent caps rent
controls it's just terrible I don't know
what the what but then I mean maybe you
can still make money here well one of
the richest guys like in Scandinavia and
Norway he owns strawberry group big
hotel so you got to add value in like
just remember cop you could do flips
here yeah and copenhagen's I I know an
Airbnb guy copenhagen's one in stock one
of the safe corporate tax is not bad
corporate tax in Scandinavia is the same
as American corporate tax what you 25%
no 20 in some Sweden I think's only 20
America can be higher yeah and so and
again you can have man taxes 25% here as
well so how does VAT come in cuz
Americans are not used to V how does
that come into your
rental properties it's a payment vat
it's charged on what your rents not on
your well it depends on the type of rent
if you've got guests in the property
okay like if it's like a service
department Airbnb mhm that registered
man but you charge the customer that
yeah but you have to drop your prices so
that they can afford it so you can say
that about anything with that couldn't
you yeah but I'm saying some stuff like
I'm doing a rest restaurant here in
Copenhagen I actually just got a I got a
good tax account doing a business out of
it well L we're building a restaurant oh
wow Copenhagen you got to remember is
the best restaurants in the world
statistic they close early though yeah
it depends somewhere you got find one
yesterday man we were here at 9 not 9ay
is a bad time yeah coenen and
Scandinavia is very orderly people so
Sunday is the day of break so everybody
takes a break on Sunday um so it's very
little only tourist shops and little you
think you can make money in Copenhagen
doing property yeah even though I'd
attribute it to my worst enemy yes
because you know what one of my mentors
Joel Salon said he said the cream always
Rises to the top of the milk meaning
when you're if you're smart yeah in any
Market you smell the money and you move
so over here it's it's hotels it's again
outside of the city airbnbs you know I
know a guy inside the there's guys
crushing with there's there's this if
you go on Airbnb in Copenhagen there's
one dude cuz you can see who owns the
different properties who has I don't
even know how many doors how many keys
he has he has probably 200 Keys air to
airbnbs here so so you can do Airbnb
outside of the city center so it's no
different from London would you consider
here too would you ever consider cuz you
asked the question a lot you asked me
what would I do if I was starting again
from scratch yes you ever considered
just for fun mhm and for social media
starting again from scratch I've done
this I've done this yeah like I know
Grant C own did it after I did it yeah
oh really yeah yeah tell grant grant you
cop in these UK well he he he was part
of a show wasn't the show but but that
show though came out in 2019 I did it in
2018 okay you know how long it took me
to
become better than the average person
financially probably not long seven days
yeah look if you can sell I I start you
know what I did in London I got dumped
in London with my
underpants no no no phone no laptop no
clothes so you were homeless no clothes
yeah was this all on camera yep you no
long you no longer took me to Broken the
first deal I make
£3,000 how long a day a day yeah next
day in your boxers no because the first
thing I did is got cloth older woman who
wanted to no no people gave me clothes
bro people people just gave me clothes
in straight C me felt sorry for me okay
gave me clothes that's interesting
that's that sort do you do on TV or
YouTube YouTube you should watch it I
you should do it okay we should do a
challenge see see who does it first and
and and and how it works what do you
consider winning how much money do I
have to make from scratch I I would say
you either need to make 10 grand yeah
from Total scratch referee making sure
that you're not tapping into your either
a referee or a recurring find a referee
for this this is a very special
skill uh I'd like a referee who
specializes in men in their underwear in
London not cheating rebuilding their
wealth from scrap well my referee when I
first did it was a was was a
videographer who was a skeptic of mine
okay it was like a hater yeah yeah and
you know your haters are going to
referee you well that's right what what
would you reckon who who would win and
Cardone did a damn marketing agency
that's what I teach I taught the most
would you do my smma I've taught the
most people how to do marketing age I
own the trademark in the US I would I've
also done it where I do phone sales
phone sales phone
sales I'd find a job yeah that's selling
a product at around 10,000 to 100,000
that pays 10% commissions so if I close
at 10 to 100 Grand deal I make one are
you are you very good at
sales I'm pretty good at sales I'd go in
a competition against the almost anybody
in the world I mean there's probably
people better than me but in I've sold
you know I'm in the billions in my
company's what I've sold and
so yeah I would go I mean just phones I
always say if you're homeless do phone
sales if you've got a th000 bucks start
up an agency now you can do marketing
agencies that are Niche you can do a
Snapchat agency you start by phone house
and then when you got your first, then
set up an agency yeah do this from
scratch document it I did it man I'm
like I I mean I that's my life I had no
money and I got into sales I used the
internet to generate did it but you did
it years ago you did it again now from
scratch be more visible yeah be more
visible I like the one but but I think
you got to up to Annie you got to drop a
mofo in like Mogadishu Africa or
somewhere hard yeah naked now now I'll
be impressed cuz people in people in
countries like that ain't giving you
clothes yeah England you had a little
bit of so if I was your skeptical
referee I'd be like wait a second you're
a white dude in England you go naked
somebody's gonna feel bad for you I I'm
dropping you off in
uh let's see I'm gonna drop you off in
in I'll tell you where that you won't
get any help India India there's so many
homeless people man drop you off in
Mumbai or Hydra you want India
completely butt naked you're going to
die people going to let you die I was at
a hotel in Hydra bad M don't tell me
this cuz I'll do it I was at a I was at
a hotel in hydrat every day we'd walk in
there was so many homeless people if you
gave one person money it was like 100
people would come Mis Mis Mis Mis so we
walked in over this dude who looked like
he you know he was like kind of I just
thought he was on drugs or something and
one day I walked out of the hotel and I
stepped over him he was like at the
little this was a hosel I didn't have
money there and he died of starvation
ain't nobody helping you in some of
those there's so many homeless people
let people starve to death so if you go
in with no money yeah the ultimate one
of those billionaire what's it called
undercover millionaire yeah if you want
to do undercover billionaire undercover
millionaire I got one for you I'm going
to drop your let me pick the city that
will be tough and what you where where
are you saying India or South Paulo dude
homeless people in South Paulo are not
like like I lived in La man in the
ghetto I was born in the ghetto I've
seen my fair share crazy homeless people
and Skid
Row souo Brazil in downtown boxing that
rough place in Zimbabwe Mare Mare yeah
oh yeah Africa's Stu about you you pick
me a you pick me a location but I'll
pick you a location yeah well Africa you
I saying Somali some of but Zimbabwe is
completely safe you know yeah yeah
Zimbabwe not there's no Wars you off
naked in Johannesburg you ain't coming
Johannesburg probably the most dangerous
city that's going to be I actually think
Johannesburg will be called it's going
to be called underground millionaire cuz
you can be buried 6 feet under brother I
think it' be it be easier than Zimbabwe
I think there's more John johbur no not
the ghetto of Johannesburg I think I
would rank top three most dangerous
places Johannesburg the best place then
where would be the easiest for you to be
able to
starts Helsinki Scandinavia people would
have there's no there's like one
homeless dude in Copenhagen but there's
good business there you can start a
business from scratch and smash
it yeah so if I could pick anywhere I'd
pick America for that America's is gives
people first chances nowhere in Europe
gives first nowhere in anywhere that's
the one look there's a lot of bad things
about America the greatest thing of
America is the Farmland number one the
land of America is the most beautiful
fertile multic climate in the world
there's no there's other fertile places
Ukraine Argentina you know pump us but
so number one benefit of America is the
physical landscape is is the best in the
world at scale but second is Americans
give you a first chance everybody give
you a second chance but if you go
bankrupt in Scandinavia you you it's a
little better now but you forever have a
stigma people ain't going to ever invest
in you again kind of thing scandin
Europe even England's a little more like
that America I read a stat I'm not even
sure if it's true that the average
millionaire has three failed businesses
before they hit the winner I actually
saw Naval rant who's one of the wisest
guys out there he started Angel list
valued at a couple Bill he said it was
his seventh business and we think Mark
Cuban I did one a podcast with Mark
Cuban once time never forget when I was
walking out the door off camera he just
turned to me said Ty just remember
America you only got to win once so you
can fail fail fa fail you win once they
only remember your they only remember
your success most of the world like
Latin America is not that way either
Latin America is a little different but
Latin America has a lot of class
oriented Argentina Brazil there's the
classes you know Mexico is very class
oriented if you're if you're pale skinn
white looking
you know America is racist in its own
way but not when it comes to money I
don't give a [ __ ] if you're a black dude
Mexican looking dude and you got a way
they can make money they'll shake hands
and go to business with it's not so
elitist you know like I said America has
is is horrible food system probably the
worst Food system in the world one of
the worst education systems one of the
worst lifestyle systems you know America
is is how's your friends how's your um
gjc going
good I just do it amateur are you got
bels no no how
come I don't I so you on the pads yeah
yeah box I I've been doing mixed martial
arts since 2003 four but I I'm not in
like Jiu-Jitsu I'm just a blue belt I
could go for purp you got a belt yeah
yeah I got a belt I'm I'm more advanced
than people think but yeah to me stick
to the thing thing you can be number one
or number two in the world at one of my
friends is's making about a million
bucks a day he's the best introverted
marketer in the world he one of his
Secrets when he makes a landing page
he's like you got to prove that you're
number one or number two in the world at
this very specific n would you beat up
GR Cardone in a fight I don't know if
he's trained but put enough money in
there I'll fight almost any of the
business influencer you put money in
I'll take my chances you beat grind you
you never I don't think he trains it's
not fair to put an untrained person
against a train you're a trained person
I'm trained for sure I've been fighting
you know I've trained with BOS rutin
who's heavyweight minitar Nera is a
friend like I can hold my own I but I
can't be number one or number two in the
world therefore I don't want to do it
professionally but you do have another
influencer someone like Grant cordone or
someone like you know me I don't know
are you trained I'm probably like I'm
probably like you I'm probably like you
do you do Jiu-Jitsu or very heavily
Jiu-Jitsu okay yeah are you got a built
yeah I am yeah I'm um purple purple okay
yeah you probably beat me then and
jiu-jitsu's boxing though is more fun I
think yeah boxing I think he's more fun
the thing about fighting that people
don't realize we should do a white color
man white color boxing yeah the thing I
don't like about boxing you got to
protect the brain dude I'm I'm friends
with with Floyd Mayweather and you know
he's he's so good he's been hardly hit
he had never been knocked down so you to
me the only way I'd want to be a boxer
is if I'm like Floyd and you just
basically never get hit in your career
cuz people don't understand like I train
with Pro Fighters a lot of them whether
it's Gracies like I said I train with
boss Rootin for a long time you get you
get hit by a pro one time you could lose
you losing five IQ points on one whack
so for me you know if you make money you
don't have to be your own security
boxing um I've done a little bit I've
had three I've had three outs boxing
yeah people get more brain damage from
boxing because the pads allow you to
keep getting hit in a bare knuckle fight
you go down quick average bar knuckle
fights like 30 seconds yeah boxing
matches are like 14 would you never do
it then or would you never would you
never do it not really against Grant or
somebody yes but against anybody with
real skill the thing about fighting that
people don't realize some of it's luck
dude because if you're out on the real
street you slip on a bottle dude like I
grew up in pretty pretty ghetto one of
my first memories someone getting shot
in the heart in front of me and my mom
so I a lot of people that are super into
fighting I feel like they didn't grow up
around violence my dad was in prison my
dad was a violent guy not so much with
me but in life and so once you've been
around a little bit of violence you're
not so excited to go take your chances
all the time yeah I think if you can tie
in with marketing I had a big boxing
match with a guy called Rob have you
heard of Rob
Mo B
Rob he's he's got a large
property beating up your competitor yeah
did you win yeah I won yeah raised
200,000 of Charity but the thing is it
was actually probably better for him
than it was for me right because even
though he lost he got the exact same
publicity on there and everyone loves an
underdog yeah and I was heavier than him
I don't know what do you weigh you must
be about 80 kg yeah about then yeah yeah
what are you weigh um about 85 yeah yeah
Jake Paul and and his brother Lo Logan
those guyy I've known them for years and
um they're pretty fighting Mike Tyson
there're I mean Jake Paul hasn't been
boxing his whole life so he's not GNA
like if you look at some of the the
boxers out there like Canelo yeah Floyd
Mayweather and he's not like that but
he's a strong guy that's what people
don't realize those he's that cornbread
cornfed mashed potatoes MidWest American
Vibe so those dudes hit you hard
is not how old are you people always ask
I've been keeping that controversial
there's like four different websites
that people are trying to guess my age
none of them are right that's the ironic
that's one thing I've learned you've got
to be about around
40 could be if I tell you you know one
thing I've learned yeah you should I'm
going to give this the three most
Googled things that are going to be
Googled about you me your age and your
net worth and then sometimes your
girlfriend wife okay those are the three
when you look on Google search R so keep
keep all of those a little mysterious
I'll ask you those three questions you
can answer as mysterious as you want all
right at least I can then put in the
title I asked him this yeah all right so
how old are you I'm going keep him
mysterious on all three so not going to
be three good questions cuz you'll never
three good questions and three bad
answers three bad answers that's right
how old are girlfriend do you have a
girlfriend not right now no do you have
kids yes how many kids how many kids
I won't say but you want to say I have
kids that's I think you're the first
podcast I've ever said yes to really so
I gave you it's exclusive is new it is
exclusive and how how how old are you
roughly well you're only going to get
one of them when's your birthday when's
your birthday one of three when's your
birthday April April the what that I'm
not going to say the reason you
shouldn't say your I'm April by the way
I'm
ail don't ever say your day in America
that's how people steal your identity
yeah dude part of the reason I don't say
My AG I've already secret I've already
had people try to take out mortgages in
my name we catch stuff identity all time
your net worth that one I always say
more than 5 million that's what I tell
yeah that's called it obious though but
I tell well Mr Beast came to visit me he
wanted to visit me once he came and he
said Ty man is your net cuz I was at
probably the most baller place in New
York City I had in Manhattan it was
9,000 foot 900 square
penthouse on billionaire roow he's like
is your net worth 5 million I'm like
that's what I want it to be sometimes I
think SEO people have changed it now but
I always try to SEO it down to 5 million
because in America you know who googles
you
first lawyers okay lawyer and if you
what if it's hard then they'll charge
you more no they sue you oh I first
moved into that big house in Beverly
Hills within 30 days I had different M
AG it I've had to be very careful with
you don't have to worry as much in the
UK you're not American dude it's America
that has litigious because in America is
different laws in America if you bring a
[ __ ] lawsuit and you lose you don't
have to pay their legal fees in the UK
you yeah so people don't bring so many
frivolous they still have frivolous
lawsuits in America listen to this I'm
moving to this house big house I needed
like five Maids cuz it was 17 17 bedroom
18
bath first month we get a lawsuit one
maid who worked one day said she was
taking out of the trash and slipped on a
banana peel no joke like a cartoon
character so that was the first time
once people you live in Beverly Hills
you got to worry about every single
person so I always tell dudes especially
man guys out here all be want oh I want
to be a high value man I want my net
worth High I'm like put it at 5 mil
because if you're dating and a woman's
not impressed by 5 million if she's not
impressed by 5 million you definitely
don't want to marry her I remember I had
this one Russian girl once com in my
garage I had six badass cars it was
millions in cars I had two Rolls-Royce
one was the only Rolls-Royce of that
color in the world one or in the United
States one was a Rolls-Royce that one of
Miami Heat was going to get Chris Bosch
and I got it instead and it was a
pinstripe thing these are the most
expensive cars an
Aventador okay convertible Aventador all
this and she comes in and she's like is
that the older Ferrari model it was like
a three-year-old Ferrari you know
Ferrari and I was thinking thank God I
brought this girl in the garage so I
don't have to I know that she's a
walking red flag yeah don't think anyone
that knows the differences how the
mirrors have changed in the last 12
months on new Ferrari
models she was like I'm not impressed by
this garage I'm like I'm so happy to
hear that I'm like so now I'm going to
put in a car I'm going to put in like a
old dump truck or something in there and
be like well let's go on a date yeah
yeah but you got married young 22 Yeah
so now 20 I was 23 actually do you think
what do you think right now let's do
hypothetical yeah you never got married
you're out partying or whatever I never
been partying but okay but do you think
you would be significantly lower net
worth if you didn't have your three kids
and one on the way a wife of 10 years or
you think be similar I reckon it'll
probably be similar so you don't think
you'd have made more you don't think
it's been a distra I definitely think I
def I definitely don't think I'd have
made more I don't think that being
married having kids has hindered me in
any way yeah has it made me more
successful I would probably say yes
because I've got a beautiful wife that
takes care of me and I can is a sounding
board and a rocking adviser that does
stuff and you know my kids is motivation
so if anything it's made me more
successful but unfortunately we can
never split test and seek come I right
so who knows maybe I'll be maybe I'll be
a billionaire maybe there's parallel
universes a lot of the smartest phys
physicists believe in Multiverse Theory
which is that there is another Universe
right now where you're completely single
but there not is there well you're
you're Christian so you wouldn't believe
that what what what what what are you is
that another question is that another
controversial one um I I do you believe
in God do you believe there's a God that
creat
us that's I would say depends on your
definition of God is there a man is
there a no a Creator do you believe that
you are created it I can say yes to that
I could say yes or no because you
believe in more of a personal God right
yeah God Jesus and the Holy Spirit right
yeah so I I could even see that being
true but I could see it also not being
true that's the problem with me no
that's fair so I don't think it's
agnostic yeah but agnostic would believe
we can't know at all so don't ever talk
about I believe it's good things to
think about I think about spiritual
things a lot but I think that there're
so for example in my theory I think
there can be your exact version of God
could be true but it might that might be
in one Universe there can be more than
one but that you wouldn't like that one
because CHR would not agree with that I
that doesn't make any sense to me yeah
at all well Christians are that there's
one God one Universe create how long ago
do you think the universe was created or
the world do you believe it's like young
like 10,000 years ago well I believe the
the scientists say that it's billions of
years yeah which doesn't contradict
anything in the Bible okay so do you
think Evolution's true or do you think
it's more every species that's now on
Earth was created at the moment of of
creation I think that evolution is true
okay to a point right I don't think that
you've got a piece of slime that then
became something different and then
slowly became a man evolution is
obviously true because if you just look
at dogs and animals and the way things
develop and change over time basketball
players have even as humans look how
we've evolved so I definitely believe in
evolution but I don't think that we
necessarily started so do you think that
anybody who does not sincerely says I
don't don't believe in Jesus Christ mhm
will they die and go to a Perpetual
torture hell type
place I don't know I don't know I mean
do you think there'll be billions of
people in Hell or are in hell yes okay I
think they will is it just evil pure
evil people like serial killers or are
there just regular people who for
whatever reason like for example my
stepgrandpa yeah I said what happens if
you die and you go to heaven and there's
a God and he says you're going to go to
hell and why didn't you believe in me he
said he would say I thought you were a
cruel person and I'm glad I didn't
believe in you and then he said I'd be
accepted because he thinks it's unfair
that God created everything and knowing
that billions of people would be in
Perpetual torture so he does he he he
thinks if that God's true that he
wouldn't even want to believe he
wouldn't want to serve that God even if
it turns out to be true so I think in I
mean listen these are questions that no
one knows you went to Bible theology
yeah that's true that's true so my my my
understanding is that hell is not um
active torture and Punishment okay hell
is the separation from God right so if
you reject God and say I think God's
cruel and then God says okay right
you're not with God anymore but when
you're not with God all good things come
from God
so if there's no light and there's no
what if you grew up in India your mom
and dad was a sik or Hindu and you sure
you may be heard of Christianity but
most of us accept what our people we
admire believe MH you think those people
should be separated eternally from
goodness I mean I'm I'm not the judge so
for any person to say that person should
go to hell or that person should not is
completely wrong God is the judge but I
believe that I'm Christian I believe
that Jesus is the way the truth and the
life and all that go through Jesus enter
into heaven so do you think Christianity
is superior to the other Islam Hindu
Buddhism Judaism um I think that all or
breaks a better Society let's forget the
what's true do you think do you think it
makes a better Society than if Society
was all Muslims or all atheists or all
all religions teach the same thing which
is effectively they've got God in
different names but effectively it's do
good things what if you're a Satanist
though if you're a Satanist they believe
the opposite is that a religion though
probably not yeah something so religions
is all about do good things and then go
to heaven and if you do enough good
Apache Indians used to be like skin your
enemies alive they didn't quite believe
in the same but generally speaking if
you look at siks Muslims Hindus yeah the
modern religion it's do good things and
then you'll be judged according to what
you did what about a Muslim that
says Jihad against the West because the
West does not conform to Shar that that
that would be their equivalent of doing
good things because they're protecting
their religion and they're right but you
don't bu agree with that sure no no no
but I don't agree with religion in in
general I don't believe that if you do I
don't think that you'll be judged and go
to hell according to what you did or
didn't do right cuz I'm Christian so as
a Christian we believe that Jesus right
took the sin of the world so that we
believe in him right and it's not about
it's not about what we do or what we
don't do it's about what he did yes
that's the
difference this was a nice light podcast
this is this is good i i people have
asked me to talk on this I gave you a
couple exclusive things there we go I
appreciate it man I'm glad we got back
to the airport on time yeah and Ty
lopez.com
Samuel if you want to see show notes
links to what Samuel's doing all we got
a page up Ty lopez. /s Samuel grab
access follow what he's doing learn real
estate it's made the most millionaires
even if you're like me and real estate's
not your number one thing real estate
and your three thing you always need a
portfolio of three business activities
three income sources real estate
basically always should be one of them I
can't think of one person none of the
wealthy people in the world have zero
real estate maybe Elon Musk he says he
has but he's got real estate on Mars and
he has but he's got Mars yeah he
he wants real estate on another planet
he's next level so even then he's into
real estate all right my man love
