Manila could allow the US to use its military base to protect Taiwan: Philippine ambassador

In an interview with the Financial Times published on June 25, the Philippine Ambassador to the United States, Jose Manuel Romualdez, stated that if any conflict between Taiwan and China were to impact the Philippines, Manila might consider allowing the US to use its military bases to support and protect Taiwan.
