See how the river has polished the stone? It reminds me of a very special waterfall I used to visit when I was a child. The waterfall is smaller than this river, but much steeper. And the stone was polished to perfection.

In early summer, the adults would test the "water". They would make sure that the little lake below the waterfall was deep enough and the smooth rock was still smooth enough for us to sit in the waterfall and let the water push us 5-8 metres down into the pool. It was not a straight drop so it was a lot of fun.

You could also climb the rock above the pool and jump down the more or less 10 metres. This place for a very natural water slide is so well known and appreciated by the locals that they don't advertise it. It is still as natural as it was decades ago when I used my whole currage to slide down or jump off the rock.
