QUICK PIT! Trooper Byrd makes fast work of multi-agency pursuit with Chevy S10 #chase #pit

Trooper's Report:

On April 25, 2024, approximately 6:53AM, Trp. Bloch notified Troop A Communications that Saline County was in pursuit in the
Bauxite area traveling northbound into Bryant on State Highway 183.

I (Trp. Jacob Byrd) responded to the area of State Highway 183 at Northwest 4th St. where I observed a white Chevy S10
bearing Arkansas ASR81N (V1) fleeing from Saline County Deputies. As V1 passed me, I assumed primary in the pursuit
heading northbound on State Highway 183. Immediately after becoming primary, V1 began driving in the southbound traffic
lanes. To prevent V1 from fleeing any further, I performed a TVI on V1 causing V1 to veer off the roadway to the right. V1 came
to a final stop near the First United Methodist Church in Bryant. After V1 came to a final rest, the driver (S1) of V1 was taken
into custody by Saline County Sheriff's Office (SCSO). Reference SCSO report number: 24-1135

S1 was charged with the following by SCSO:

5-54-125(d)(3) 2023: FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH
27-50-302: SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT
27-50-308: RECKLESS DRIVING - 1ST
27-52-103: FAIL TO OBEY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE (x6)
27-37-702: NO SEATBELT
