The Epoch Times has learned that The New York Times is developing a hit piece on Shen Yun Performing Arts. The media outlet’s aim of interviewing members or former members of Shen Yun selectively in order to smear the company is analogous to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) efforts to thwart the company’s performances around the world.
Staff at Shen Yun say China’s communist regime attempts to interfere with the company’s performances in order to prevent audiences from seeing acts within the show that depict the horrific human rights abuses committed by the CCP against adherents of Falun Gong inside China. NTD hears more on the issue from Nathan Su, a senior investigative reporter for The Epoch Times.
Welcome back. We're returning with our coverage on Shen Yun being the target of a hit piece by the New York Times, which is in the works.
Records obtained by the Epoch Times suggest that two New York Times reporters have specifically sought out Shen Yun dancers who left the company with a grudge.
And Ying Chen, a vice president of Shen Yun, says they are seemingly ignoring a large number of performers who see their time at the company positively and as deeply rewarding.
Nathan Hsu, a senior investigative reporter at the Epoch Times, tells me more about how they determined this hit piece was in the works.
Yes, Nathan Hsu, senior investigative reporter for the Epoch Times, thank you for shining a light on this.
