The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather air fighter developed and produced by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing).Designed to achieve and maintain air superiority, it is one of the usAF's workhorse fighters in active service.The F-15 is a development of the F-X program launched in 1962 and is classified as the fourth generation fighter in terms of fighter generation.
In 1988, the F-15 was developed as a successor to the f-15E Strike Hawk fighter-bomber, a successful all-weather strike fighter, to replace the defunct F-111 for penetration-strike missions.The F-15 or F-15E has been exported to Japan, Israel, South Korea, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and other countries.All customers except Japan have obtained export models based on f-15E.The U.S. military has about 700 F-15 fighters.In terms of size, the F-15 QA is not much different from the original, 19.45 meters long, 13 meters wingspan and 5.64 meters high. However, the fuselage and wings have been strengthened, and two weapon hangpoints have been added. Up to 12 air-to-air missiles, or 24 ground-to-ground precision bombs, can be carried in a single strike.With a maximum takeoff weight of 81,000 pounds (36,741 kg), it has surpassed the 65,500 pounds (29,710 kg) of the U.S. Military's B-17 Flying Fortress bomber from World War II.
F-15鷹式戰鬥機，是一款美國麥克唐納-道格拉斯公司（現波音公司）開發生產的全天候製空戰鬥機。針對獲得與維持空優而設計，是美國空軍現役的主力戰鬥機之一。F-15是自1962年展開的F-X計劃發展而來，在戰鬥機世代上被劃分為第四代戰機。
為了替代除役的F-111執行穿透打擊任務，1988年F-15發展出後續的衍生型F-15E打擊鷹式戰鬥轟炸機，這是一款成功的全天候打擊戰鬥機。F-15或F-15E已出口到日本、以色列、韓國、新加坡、沙特阿拉伯等國家。除日本外其余用戶均已獲得了基於F-15E開發的出口型號戰鬥機。美軍擁有約700架F-15戰鬥機。尺寸方面 F-15 QA 與原版差異不大，長 19.45 米、翼展 13 米、高 5.64 米，但由於機身與機翼材質強化，增加兩個武器掛點，一次出擊最多可攜帶 12 枚空對空導彈，或 24 枚對地精準炸彈，最大起飛重量達 81,000 磅（36,741 公斤），已超過二次大戰時期美軍 B-17 空中堡壘轟炸機 65,500 磅（29,710 公斤）水準。
