Website 5: imag-r.com - ImagR is a website dedicated to preparing photos for laser engraving. Website 3: svgnest.com - SVGnest is a free and open source web-based application designed for automatic nesting, which is a process of arranging objects to minimize waste in manufacturing processes like CNC machining, laser cutting, or plasma cutting. It incorporates advanced features such as part-in-part nesting and concave area detection, making it an efficient tool for optimizing material usage. Developed by using a genetic algorithm approach, as outlined by E.K. Burke et al. in 2006, SVGnest aims to solve complex nesting problems with its innovative orbital approach. This makes it a valuable resource for anyone looking to maximize the use of cutting materials in projects, reducing waste and potentially lowering costs. SVGnest is accessible directly through a browser, making it easy to use without the need for downloading or installing software.
Website 2: makercase.com - MakerCase is a free web-based application designed to simplify the process of designing custom project cases for laser cutting and CNC routing. It allows users to generate box designs by entering specific dimensions and material thickness. MakerCase then outputs the design as SVG and DXF files, which are ready for cutting. This tool is particularly useful for hobbyists, designers, and professionals looking to create precise cases without the need for extensive programming or design skills. The platform supports the customization of the box design, including the ability to add holes (both round and rectangular) on all sides of the case, catering to a wide range of project requirements.
