Lecture 04: Debye Shielding

In this lecture, we'll try to understand how plasma tries to shield the external electric field, and this phenomenon is known as the Debye shielding. Debye shielding establishes the collective behavior of the plasma. When the plasma is subjected to an electric field its free charges are redistribute such that the major part of the plasma is shielded from the external electric field.
